Chelsea - Ross Turnbull, Daniel Sturridge & Yuri Zhirkov (good signing. I'd guess he'd play left midfield, so goodbye to either Malouda or Joe Cole?!).

Hull are interested in Zamora!

We've offered £2m for Man City's Richard Dunne, Quinn confirmed it on Sky. I guess that also all but confirms City will be bringing in a couple of top class defenders. Good for them.

We're after Crouch as well, but Pompey are asking £14m for him. And We've also offered Paolo Da Silva a 3 year contract, but he's weighing up his options with another team who are interested (Reportedly Spurs).

As a Sunderland fan, i'm not used to all this activity happening within the first few weeks of the summer.. it's usually the last few days when things start happening

Wow, what a surprise, the apparent "Dunne deal" (pun intended) turned into a big fat pile of nothing. Hooray.

Now we're apparently on the verge of signing Fraizer Campbell and Lee Cattermole, the latter of which we've had a £5m bid rejected for. Can I just say i'm really not arsed in the slightest about either of these two players?

After all the talk of Crouch and Bent, if we end up only bringing in Campbell i'll be quite fucking annoyed.

Fraizer Campbell is awful. I was gobsmacked Hull were gonna pay that much for him. Daylight robbery...

I don't rate him very highly myself Roo. Decent back-up striker (In comparison to Stokes, Murphy etc) but hopefully we'll be getting in either Crouch or Bent up front.

Basically we've paid £5m for a bench warmer. I don't think he'll get us goals, but i'd be happy to be proved wrong.

Phil Brown has the worst taste in strikers ever. Cousin last year, and now Zamora and Campbell this year?!

Corrected.

And yeah, tbh Jonny if I was a Hull fan i'd seriously worry about this coming season. I can see your lot struggling :(

He'll be a decent enough signing. For Hull he'd have had the pressure of being first choice striker and would've needed to get the goals to help them stay up. I imagine Sunderland will be signing another striker yet, and for £3.5m for a 21 year old with potential as a back-up striker I think that's a good signing. Certainly better than most of Keane's... £5m for Chopra?!

I'm not sure why Hull fans are so pleased anyway, he's a far better player than Zamora is anyway. I cannot see Hull doing anything other than being relegated this season unless they ged rid of Phil Brown and soon, he's a dreadful manager. It doesn't surprise me that they haven't signed anyone yet, you'd have to be pretty desperate to play under him!

Oh unlucky Mykul. Thanks for saving us £6m. (Y)

Hull City boss Phil Brown swooped for Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy yesterday - as he was going through a medical with Roy Keane's Ipswich Town, writes ALAN NIXON.

Brown came in for Republic of Ireland attacker Murphy, matched the Tractor Boys offer of around £1.2million and gave him the chance of staying in the Premier League on good wages.

That was enough to make Murphy change his mind and head for Humberside instead, with the move due to be completed today.

Brown conducted the raid from his side's pre-season base in Italy. He will be delighted to beat Keane to the signature of his former Black Cats player, with Hull struggling to land many targets this summer.

AHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHA unlucky Hull

I don't see what issue you would have with Fraizer tbh. It may have only been the Championship but he scored 15 in 34 when he was last with Hull, and everytime I saw him play (which granted was only 2 or 3 times..) he looked well above the level he was playing at. £6m may be a bit steep but what's already been said is spot on, he'd be a much better signing than Zamora or Daryl fucking Murphy. He was hardly given a kick of a ball at Spurs in fairness too.

From a United fans perspective, £3.5m (with the possibility of rising to £6m) for a back-up striker who'd never reach the first team in million years is a deal and a half for us. But for any team who could rotate him round a bit, I don't think it's particularly a bad buy..

Loads of rumours about Torres bids from Man City, Real Madrid (!!!), Man Utd and Chelsea.

Tevez will apparently have sorted out his future by the end of the week...

And Cattermole to Sunderland apparently as well.

AHAHAAHAHAAHAHAHA unlucky Hull

He's still better than Zamora.

I really can't believe Phil Brown is so openly chasing someone who played 35 Premiership games last season, in a team that qualified for Europe, and scored TWICE! He really is a complete fool. I suppose at least he's not going to be beaten to him by someone else, who the f*** would want him?! I don't think even I'd swap him for any of our 5 strikers!

Sky Sports 'sources' say Adebayor is close to joining Man City from Arsenal for about £20m!

Seems Man City are intent on buying a physical striker...

Weird as they already have one in RSC

I think they are just buying players off their rivals that they really don't need just to weaken the opposition

If true -

Utd -Tevez

Chelsea - Terry

Arsenal - Adebayor

Liverpool -

Villa - Barry

Everton - Lescott

Man City are not gonna win the league. Even if Liverpool and Chelsea lose some of their top players too like Man Utd have, i've seen nothing to suggest Man City are capable of winning the Premier League. They've got some good players yes, but all the other Top 4 clubs all have better players.

I said they would win the league if they signed Eto'o which I think would be the case but that signing is looking less likely now but certainly I see definitely CL qualification for them this season

Tevez is confirmed now
