Posted June 3, 200917 yr Take That 'infuriate' local residents Wednesday, June 3 2009, 07:44 BST By David Balls, Music Reporter Take That have been accused of noise pollution by residents of a sleepy Bedfordshire community. Locals in Cardington have complained that the group are disturbing the town's peaceful atmosphere as they rehearse for their upcoming tour in a nearby aircraft hanger. "Take That might think that they sound fantastic but just try telling that to my seven-month-old daughter," one resident told the Daily Star. "We live in Cardington Village, and it's just too loud. Some days we have a real problem getting her to sleep because of the noise from the hanger. "They seem to be practising constantly. Of course, they think most of the sound stays within the aircraft hanger but I can assure you it travels. "You have to remember they are getting ready to play stadium gigs so you can just imagine the volume at which they are belting their songs out. "Some days it has sounded like we are having our very own Take That gig. I'm just glad they seem to have moved on now." The 'Up All Night' singers kick off their tour in Sunderland on June 6. New single 'Said It All' is released on June 15.
June 3, 200917 yr I'm just wondering, if TT were too loud, why didn't the neighbours either a) politely ask them to turn it down, or, B), visit family in another town??? Silly me just wondering out loud..... :rolleyes:
June 3, 200917 yr Author its probably about 4 people who complained as everyone else would know its great for an area as it will bring money and much needed money into an area which is whats needed in these tough economic times
