Ah, I only sent PMs to those who hadn't shown any interest in confirming particuarlly (and you for some reason LOL). So i sent one out to him this morning and he hasnt been on since then.. I'll probably leave it for a while tbh, I dont thin k it'd be right to start without him.

I'm torn about what we should do. There's a date & time set for a reason, therefore we shouldn't wait for anyone. But, it is one of the mods after all.

Yeah, I'd wait until Tom's confirmed...it isn't pretty typical of him to miss a contest, and in all fairness he probably did miss the change in dates. He's never away too long normally?

 

In any case, assuming people are fine with semi-results on Monday at the latest, giving 6 days to vote in the semis and the finals, I don't see any reason why we couldn't wait?

But you'd think a Mod would be 'in the know' about the changes made? I highly doubt if anyone such as myself or you had failed to confirm that it'd be halted, it would have continued anyways.

I agree, not to be rude but what does it say about a mod, when they miss deadlines, its a tad bit hypocritical when it's too bad for other players when they miss deadlines, the deal was that if 95% of people who reserved confirmed by now, it would go on, deal shouldnt be broken just because someone is in power.

I imagine that's people putting their own reasons in, but given that regardless what I decide it will be the wrong decision I'm just going to reassure you that this decision has nothing to do with the fact that Tom is a moderator. Let's not forget that Bokia missed contests before when he was mod...we would've done the same had it been any country that's entered before, given that it wasn't exactly shouted from the rooftops and Tom hasn't really posted here for a few days and as such probably wouldn't have noticed...
