Posted June 4, 200916 yr Kylie 'to work with Paula Abdul on album' Thursday, June 4 2009, 10:40 BST By David Balls, Music Reporter Rex Features Kylie Minogue will work with Paula Abdul on her next studio album, it has been claimed. Minogue has reportedly been offered a number of songs by the American Idol judge, who penned her previous chart-topper 'Spinning Around'. "Kylie will be in the US on a mini tour at the end of the summer and she hopes to record some new music with American friends around those dates," a source told the Daily Star. "Paula has just completed her first new album in a while and has bags of songs left. The ideal thing would be to try to repeat the success of 'Spinning Around'." The 41-year-old, who released her last record X in 2007, insisted that she intends to stick with a "pop dance" style. "I'd love to find a slightly new style, something that's the next step for me," she said. "I kind of have an idea but I can't really tell you. I'm working on it." Kylie kicks off her North American tour in Oakland on September 30.

June 5, 200916 yr Author im the same im not sure if its good or bad, i loved what spinning around did for kylie's career but its not in my fave kylie singles at all i much prefered the b side paper dolls which i adore....so im not sure how this will work if its true
June 5, 200916 yr It's just, as much as I liked Paula's two recent singles they are both incredibly dated sounding, one of them was even a reworked 2003 demo of Kylie's. It just seems like a bit of a step backwards to me.
June 6, 200916 yr Author paula isnt with the time smusic wise herself i think so id be worried about her working with kylie in that way however if paula can write a good song it could be interesting then

June 8, 200916 yr Author spinning around did fabulous thngs for kylies career although the video played a very big part in this, the song itself i wouldnt call it fabulous she had far better singles that didnt make number 1 that were more worthy of number 1 than spinning around
June 9, 200916 yr Author even if they work together it doesnt neccessarily mean any of the material will make the album

June 11, 200916 yr Author the body language material i can understand as any of it wasnt any better than anything appeared on the album which i might add was a disappointing album apart from slow and chocolate, but x they made mistakes songs left off were better than lot of the songs that made it on to the album
