June 11, 200917 yr Author Well not specifically next friday  Beverleyknight I must tell you all, sign up to my website to get first dibs on my TOUR TICKETS that go on sale NEXT WEEK! Pls RT!! Tell yer mates!!! Xx
June 12, 200917 yr I can't wait to get mine, hope she comes to the Hexagon. Seems a bit weird to announce them this early, since most of us haven't heard the single and only one confirmed album track on radio. Will definitely be getting tickets, even though I just spent nearly £30 on one ticket to her album launch show. She's gonna make me broke!
June 12, 200917 yr LOL Aaron, I booked my tickets for the ICA gig yesterday too. Will definitely be booking some gig tickets as well. Doubt she'll be back at the Royal Albert Hall this year in London, I imagine it being at Hammersmith Apollo, she always does that venue.
June 12, 200917 yr Whoop! Exited. After missing Pink, hopefully Bev will make up for it. Well P!nk is coming back to the UK in October and December with the tour! :o Bev wont come anywhere near close in terms of the 'show' side, but her amazing vocals will more than make up for that. (not that P!nk wasn't good in that area too, Bev is just my fave artist) LOL Aaron, I booked my tickets for the ICA gig yesterday too. Will definitely be booking some gig tickets as well. Doubt she'll be back at the Royal Albert Hall this year in London, I imagine it being at Hammersmith Apollo, she always does that venue. It's gonna be an expensive week, but I'm sure every penny will be worth it to see Bev. Why wouldn't she be at the Royal Albert Hall again? Did it have poor sales?
June 12, 200917 yr Coz in the past 15 years, she has only ever performed at the Royal Albert Hall once. Well she has performed there many times but only once as part of her own show. Reason being that it is considerably more expensive to hire out the Royal Albert Hall for an evening than somewhere like the Apollo and I don't know whether it would be financially viable, especially without the backing of a record label. Bev isn't the sort of artist who can sell tour tickets for 60 quid upwards a pop and sell out thousands in a matter of hours, sad but true. I think the Royal Albert Hall thing may have been a sort of good will gesture from her record comapny as was letting her do her last album her own way in the wy she did, just tying up all contractual loose ends etc.. Who knows, I may be wrong though

Who knows, I may be wrong though Oh yeah, I hadn't considered how expensive it must be to hire. I think smaller venues are probably better anyway, seems much more personal. I don't think anyone is worth £60 to see live, especially after P!nk. For around £40 she sang live and put on one hell of a show so I'd feel ripped off paying any more as, for me, she set the bench mark so high. As much as I love Beverley, I wasn't going to pay up to £50 for one ticket to see her and Lemar the other day but I'll gladly pay £30. That's nice of the record label, if true, I just hope she can enjoy success on her own. It seems a bit risky to plan a tour before you've got the single out there. In the worst case scenario, this going independent thing could spell the end for chart success, so she could get less casual fans buying tickets.
June 12, 200917 yr Author I'm sure shes mentioned somewhere that the tour is in November right?
June 12, 200917 yr I'm sure shes mentioned somewhere that the tour is in November right? Yep! I think it might run into 2010 as well. In the e-mail for the presale of her album launch gig it said: As a long time Beverley Knight fan we want to give you a head start on buying tickets for her most intimate gig in years at London’s ICA on September 3rd. At the one off show Beverley will be previewing songs from her new album "100%", due out on Sept 14th, alongside favourites from across her career. *We will very shortly be announcing Beverley's "100% UK tour" for November, however the London show for that tour will not be until 2010. So she will be going on tour after the album and single it out, but if this own label thing doesn't go so well for her it might be risky to have got the dates set by next week.
June 12, 200917 yr I don't think it's that risky actually. She always does her tours within a few months of the album coming out so even though she has anounced the dates so soon, it would have probably been the same dates even if the details hadn't been released for a while yet. I think it's a security thing if anything, the earlier the tickets go on sale, the more time people will have to buy them and will possibly sell more tickets. She's already had hundreds of people asking her on twitter about the tour, and quite a few have said that they are going. I think that Twitter will do wonders for her in terms of selling tickets as she talks to so many people and it's another platform for promotion.. RE ticket prices, I agree with you but a lot of the top artists do charge those prices.. My sister just paid 85 quid for a ticket to see MJ by the way, just recorded her performce and making it into an mp3 now

My worry was that if the album and singles don't do so well in the end, she might not sell them out. But, actually, the ICA show has already sold out according to Seetickets. I know it's only a small venue but it's not too bad considering it wasn't very well promoted and it only went on presale yesterday morning. Oh I know people do charge that but I'd never go that high now that I've seen (imo) an amazing show for £40. I just hope for your sister that Michael Jackson can still sing and wont mime, £85 is a lot for fireworks and dancing. Even if it is Michael Jackson. Thanks for doing that!

LOL) She does seem to be palying a lot of 'halls' and not really venues I've heard of. No one's gonna come with me either. You're lucky you're at least going to the same one as Simon. :( Booking my tickets for Royal Albert Hall this weekend!! :D Bit gutted about the long wait though, April 2010 !!!! I was wrong too, she is doing the Albert again, woohoo! Yeah, I'm glad she's doing the Albert Hall. I have a choice between going to that or Southampton, they're the only ones close-ish to me. I think, given how far away London is, I might go for Southampton... What site do they go on presale how do you get that as well? They sent out a link to it in the Newsletter. I'll PM/MSN you it so it's not available to the masses.
