December 3, 200915 yr OMG. I have to go & see her! I might end up looking like a right weirdo and end up going by myself but I am going!
December 4, 200915 yr Booked mine but they are just booked as "2 seats" ? What, with no exact location? OMG. I have to go & see her! I might end up looking like a right weirdo and end up going by myself but I am going! YES, you have to, it's an amazing show. Who you calling weird? I went solo, front row, VIP for Bev. :smoke: The only weird part was being the first person in the front row to arrive and the support act was already alone. I felt so under pressure to look entertained LOL! I hope she announces some more in my area, I want a Bev fix next year. I've spoiled myself by seeing her three times in four months really!
December 4, 200915 yr Tickets bought! Front row and everything. Now I just need to find someone to go with me...
December 6, 200915 yr Yeh theres no exact locations, how silly is that. Hmm...weird! Maybe it'll be standing in the end? Tickets bought! Front row and everything. Now I just need to find someone to go with me... Yay good! I'm sure whoever you take will be won over, fan or not. Just as long as they appreciate someone who can perform.
April 2, 201015 yr Saw her tonight :yahoo: She was absoulutely brilliant. I've seen her before but I always seem to be stuck at the back but tonight I was right there at the front. I eventually persuaded a friend to come with me (and annoyed her by making her stand up - I think she enjoyed though, she said Bev was brilliant after we left) Vocally she was on top form as always - nout to fault at all. Setlist wise, gutted she didnt perform Turned To Stone, No Mans Land or After You but seeing some of my least favourite 100% tracks being done live really made them better in my eyes. I really like stuff like 100% and Gold Chain much better than before now. It was a bit awkward being surrounded by 35+ year olds and sitting next to a man who had no idea what personal privacy was clearly (who also sweated like a pig and danced awfully to Come As You Are) but I really enjoyed myself. Bev looks amazing for her age and I went slightly insane when she performed Black Butta, Soul Survivor and Come As You Are in that order straight after each other. Support acts were good - I think I might buy the woman's album, I partically liked her Joni Mitchell cover. The other band were ok, but I felt were on stage for far too long. Oh, and I offically love all 3 of Bev's backing singers now <3 I think tonight might actually have been my favourite concert so far. I'd certainly choose to go see Bev again over Girls Aloud or The Saturdays.

And more than Girls Aloud or Saturdays! :o (well, no surprises really, the vocals - and probably energy - aren't exactly comparable) I'm going to see her at the Royal Albert Hall on Wednesday, might have thought the setlist would be altered. I really wanted to see "Turned To Stone" live, but I suppose it means I'll definitely see "Black Butta" again. Like you say, that little section is amazing. Quite possibly the most excitement I could have at a show of hers. I didn't really notice who I was seated next to, or how old everyone was, last time as I was in the front row and didn't really look back. I'm not sure it'll be the same in row 5, with chairs in front and behind. :( Sounds like she's got the same support acts as before then, her backing singer (Billie Godfrey) and Mama's Gun. I thought both were alright, but not particularly great. They were funky though. And yes, her backing singers are amazing. I can't help but laugh at Mary, she always seems to be pulling funny faces or laughing with the others. <3 Still the same setlist? :( I'd guess so. I thought she might have switched a couple, but I'm glad to be going twice either way.
April 6, 201015 yr Lowry tonight ^_^ eek. Ooh err! Was it good? :o I've got her tomorrow. So excited!
April 29, 201015 yr I didn't know where to post this, and I didn't want to make a new topic either as it's just a strong rumour, but apparently 'Beverly Knight' may be in talks into replacing Chaka Khan on the 'Here Comes The Girls Summer Tour 2010' alongside Anastacia & Lulu. Apparently other artists considered are Taylor Dayne, Gloria Gaynor, Heather Small and others..

Where did you hear this? :o I'm guessing the spelling of the name suggests it's not exactly reliable, but I really hope so. If only they were replacing one of the others, Beverley could have performed "Soul Survivor" live with Chaka. :drama: But yeah, I don't find this hard to believe as Bev and Chaka are apparently close. Might have to look for some tickets, keep me posted please. ^_^

They're putting together the tour now, so a new replacement will be revealed shortly.

They're putting together the tour now, so a new replacement will be revealed shortly. Oops, sorry! I can't find anything about it on the website (if I'm on the right one) but I'm excited now. I'd love to see it if Bev was there. I didn't know there was going to be a second leg.
May 1, 201015 yr Yeah, I can't find anything either. It just comes up with a small paragraph, although I may be on the wrong website.
