If Michael Jackson pushes the dreadful Cameleonz out of the Top 40, I'll be VERY happy

ATM it looks like they will be disqualified anyway

Cameleonz has been DSQed, its out of the top 200 chart.

No offence is meant here, but michael jacksons passing away isnt a publicity stunt for extra sales, i believe his death deserves a little more respect than annoyance that the charts are going to look strange this week or some people are not going to hit a certain position in the chart.

Agreed. Obviously it's a bit annoying for some people that their fave acts will be pushed lower down but they'll still SELL the same, and I'm pretty certain the artist in question won't mind. This isn't X Factor or something "ruining" the charts, it's the death of a much-loved man.

Yes, but we're allowed to discuss the impact it will have on the chart.

I haven't seen anything offensive in this thread ... yet.

Seeing 100 MJ tracks in the Top 300 will delight some and annoy others.

I am fascinated by the sheer volume of tracks and I'm interested to see how many tracks will end up in the Top 100.

I agree really, one of my favourite artists will inevitably get pushed down but I don't mind, it doesn't matter in a situation like this. For anyone concerned, I guess we'll know what their position would/should have been anyway if you minus the Jacko songs from the chart.

The only person that will be gutted will be La Roux, but I'm 50/50 split if she be #1 now, mind you Man In The Mirror deserves to be a hit.

If the BEPs can do 75k on downloads only in their first week, I'm sure MJ will be able to surpass that on downloads only. Sunday's chart will be very interesting now, as Friday's update on the mids means nothing.

Someone who gave his whole life to music id be ecstatic if he filled the whole top 10 would be a fitting tribute to a legend.

I think La Roux will manage to reach #1 sunday with Man In The Mirror Top 20 (new peak?)

and it'll probably next weeks chart we see all the MJ rather then this week

And thanks to Jack, that must have been some huge task.

Yeah, thanx Jack, that's a LOT of work

I think La Roux should still get #1 on Sunday, but we don't know how quickly Man In The Mirror could shoot up.

Wow :o

It will be a change to see so much good music in the charts over the next few weeks
