Which Amerie song? I thought it was Beyoncé? (though perhaps it was something else)

One of those mid tracks played while they're doing a montage (like when they played BEP - I Gotta Feeling) was Amerie - Gotta Work.

So I really liked 3 of them this week. Stacey seems to be another Laura White in the sense that she has great pipes and a down-to-earth image. Slightly chavvy of course (fit though), but they soon ironed that out of Laura! Top 12 potential.

Duane was great vocally although Simon was right to request something more up-to-date. Too many vocalists audition for the X Factor with no sense of how to really perform. Doing a Beyonce album track was a good move although I laughed that he stopped before singing the 'I don't wanna be a broken-hearted girl' line. He's fit as anything too...

The last guy was decent although a little overrated and a little cocky for my liking. Again, I'd do him.

This, tbh.

Ahh, thought so, didn't really catch any of the montages. Those are one of the most irritating parts of the show. I don't get the point in showing clips of the judges saying 'yes' and clips of auditionees singing, but without hearing what they sounded like. More full auditions, less montages next week please?

Speaking of the Beyoncé song, it was a bit weird that they let him sing it as these sorts of shows are usually biased against lesser known songs being performed. But I suppose when you're put on the spot like that they can't really control what you do.

I think i prefered the old way of auditioning, still its early days yet so i will probably know if i like it this way after another week or 2.

Did no one else find it predictable and boring? I thought the girl was good, the guy who sang Beyoncé ''Broken Hearted Girl'', and the guy at the end but it just seemed so obvious, even more so than last year. :( The 'funny' auditions I didn't really find that funny ... the guy at the end was hideously overrated too, yeah he was good, but 'best first audition ever', 'best contestant we've ever seen' is a bit much no?

Hopfully it improves, I always find the audition stages DIRE myself anyway much unlike some people.

As good as that? I thought it was sh/te! The audience added absolutely nothing at all! I'd just love Louis Walsh for once, to step out of character and say 'boys/girls that was absolute and utter shoite!!!'

The fact that the fat bint from Blackburn (and her even fatter sister) were allowed back just shows what this show is all about. As an older poster here once said ... bring back Opportunity Knocks. The X-Factor viewers (of whom I am one) would probably have sat around the guillotine during the French Revolution, with our knitting and boiled chickens ... baying for blood.

Yeah, of course it was predictable. It really is a vastly overrated television show at the auditions stage. It shocks me that so many intelligent people say that they love the auditions when it's one format repeated over and over and over. I don't find people smirking at the mentally retarded funny and I can't even watch the crap ones (like tonight's GA loon) without hiding behind a cushion.

I'll always watch anyway, just because if there's a great audition, and there's usually a couple per episode, I don't want to have not seen it and for everybody else to be talking about it. That's a bit sheep-like of me. I agree with what Aaron, I think it was, said about montage clips of the judges putting people through without us even seeing them sing. Extremely annoying.

Here here ^

I much prefer the live shows, but most people I know say they prefer to watch the auditions, which imo are crap.

Yeah I definetly agree about the auditions montage thing, I hate that too! The girl who sang 'Mama Do' sounded pretty good. ^_^
went to auditions yesterday

and think a guy called daniel johnson is gna win the whole thing!

simon said it was the best first audition he had ever seen!

I told you guys! :P

They edited it massively though! x

Loveeeee Danyl! Have known him for years! He runs a karaoke night at Ku bar where I go. Genuine lovely person, know he can do it!

I'm sorry but that Daniel guy is a pain in the ass and he was not the best first audition ever for these types of shows. The guy who sang Broken Hearted Girl was much better and seemed genuine unlike Daniel who you can tell is class A twat.

The auditions are completely fake there are weeks of auditions prior to them getting to the judges stage. So the suprise that fat emma and her fat sister were auditioning wasn't really a suprise as they would have won through weeks of auditions.

Simon is clearly already pimping a male winner. I am hoping for something different as male winners of these shows are always dire [Leon Jackson, Paul Potts, Steve Brookstein, David Cook, Kris Allen]. Shayne Ward had potential but he was given crap songs. If we have a strong male who can be in the same veign as alexndra then we may be onto something but overhyped acts like Daniel just isn't going to cut it.

HILARIOUS things. Dream Girls. I mean LMFAO.

Now having watched the show until the end I should say I loved it. These series are the first i watch.

I loved everyone they put through except those two like Dannii said COCKY twins. :manson: They should've stayed at home, I'd not embarass themselves in such way  I'm also referring to other contestants who were booed

Danyl Johnson. Yay. :kink:
