She prob doesn't really... It's all good make-up and lighting techniques.....

Still, pretty effective though....

The title - "The Orphan" - VERY generic, kind of bland... I would've actutally preferred it if they'd called the film "There's Something Wrong With Esther" tbh... It's just a bit more sinister sounding than "The Orphan".....

i'm eager about this movie, this girl is too weird to be normal

Edited by bzuka

Potentially the least scary horror film ever.

I'm normally a jumpy person, and even the bits that were MEANT to make me jumo did not.

The script is a bit basic and clique, but the acting is pretty good. Especially with such a basic script to work with. The children's acting especially is good.

But on a good note, the 'WHAT IS WRONG WITH ESTER' is probably the best thing about it. Don't think there'll be many people that'll guess it.

OMG TOTAL LOL AT THE TWIST.

The movie was $h!t though. But lolzzzz at Esther.

I don't know if I cba to watch this. It seems pretty generic, freaky little girl doing freaky stuff, and because it's a little girl that's what's supposed to make it scary, or am I completely wrong?

Little freaky girls scare the $h!t out of me normaally. But i've seen scarier episodes of Dora The Explorer than this.

Think I'll give it a miss then!..

Just watch it on the net. That's the best piece of advice i'd offer.

Is not worthy paying to go see it at the cinema as it's not very good. Although the acting is pretty good imo.

The "twist" in this film is only going to be surprising for those who've never, ever watched Nic Roeg's magnificent, atmospheric and truly eerie and scary film "Dont Look Now".... All throughout this film, from about 40-odd minutes onwards, I was thinking "Christ, surely they're not gonna make this as obvious as Esther

actually being an adult afflicted with dwarfism

" And, oh, god, they did.......

So, you wait two hours for that..... This film has no right to last two hours tbh.....

Oh dear. If it's really that bad then I'll be watching 'A Perfect Getaway' come Wednesday instead.
Hahah the twist sounds like it actually required a lot of creative power. I might actually get round to seeing this soon when I finally get a day off work. God love free tickets.

The trailer makes the film look like The Exorcist gone REALLY REALLY REALLY (x1000000) wrong.

Ill be staying clear.

The plot was trash, and the twist had everybody staring gob-smacked thinking "no, they're not really going to go with this are they? Oh no, they are...".

But fair play to the cast, they saved the film and made it actually rather effective. And much as I despise mushiness, the deaf girl is just TOO sweet for words.

I shall be going to see this on Friday :o ... I'll save judgement until then ^_^

I went to see this last week and moderately enjoyed it actually.

Yes it had its flaws but it had me on edge anyway.
