Posted July 8, 200916 yr The decision of one of the three infamous Jonas Brothers to get engaged with his girlfriend has mixed reactions from their fans around the world. While, majority of the Jonas Brothers fans expressed joy and support over the decision of the eldest of the sibling, a number of their loyal followers expressed sadness and surprised over the decision. To those fans who supported the decision, they expressed happiness that Kevin finally got engaged with Danielle Deleasa, 22 and wish the new couple all the best in their incoming marriage. The fans who were all out behind the decision of Kevin said he and his girlfriend are perfect with each other and they deserve to be happy and be together for a lifetime. However, to the fans who were surprised and sad with the report, they perceive the marriage proposal as too soon since the two had been together for two years. The couple meets each other in May 2007 while their families were vacationing in the Bahamas. The fans who opposed the decision reasoned Kevin should have waited more before deciding to finally settle down with his girlfriend for two years. According to reports, Kevin showed up earlier at Deleasa's New Jersey home with a ring he codesigned with Jacob & Co., and popped the question at her doorstep. Deleasa, who was visibly surprised with turn of events immediately said yes to the joy of her famous boyfriend. After the heart-warming engagement proposal, the parents of the Jonas Brothers Denise and Kevin Jonas Sr. immediately issued a statement saying their hearts was filled with joy and are happy to share that their son Kevin has asked Danielle for her hand in marriage. The parents said Deleasa's impending entry to their family is such a blessing for them. With the incoming marriage of Kevin Jonas, there are only two Jonas Brothers left who are single his younger brothers Joe Jonas and Nick Jonas. The Jonas Brothers are an American pop boy band. The band gained its popularity from the Disney Channel children's television network. In the summer of 2008, they starred in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock. The band has released four albums: It is About Time (2006), Jonas Brothers (2007), A Little Bit Longer (2008), and Lines, Vines and Trying Times (2009). In 2008, the group was nominated for the Best New Artist award at the 51st Grammy Awards and won the award for Breakthrough Artist at the American Music Awards. To this date, they have sold over eight million albums worldwide. The Jonases are known for their wholesome, "family-friendly" image, and the brothers are all committed Evangelical Christians. Their father is a former Assembly of God pastor, and they were homeschooled by their mother. In addition, to signify their vow to abstain from premarital sex, on their left-hand ring finger they all wear purity rings. Joe has said that the rings symbolize "a promise to ourselves and to God that we'll stay pure till marriage," and Nick had stated that the rings are "just one of our ways of kind of like being different than everybody else out there."
