R&B singer Brandy has been dropped by Epic Record Labels because of poor record sales with her comeback album Human. It only sold 196,509 units to date according to SoundScan. So she is in search for a new record label and hoping she gets one by the end of this year. In other Brandy news, she also left her management team by Jay-Z's Roc Nation Management and she left it because of "creative differences".

No f***ing way. :( I don't believe :drama:
Oh come on, this is not a surprise! Human was a brilliant album but was timed all wrong and just blew up in Sony's face. That's 2 major labels she's been with now and both have dropped her, she won't find another major label I would imagine... Which is a shame because she's brilliant. :(

Such a shame, Human was a brilliant album. I hope we get another album from her relatively soon though.

creative differences  i love it when people use that term

In the US, but it'll barely have scraped 250k globally. I'm not surprised she was dropped. Epic looked to be doing a good job initially but it became clear pretty soon that she wasn't getting the promotion she needed. It takes a fair few errors to screw up the success of a song as magnificent as Right Here...

"Human" really is a great album, but she's just not relevant anymore. She needs to re-invent herself if she wants to have a successful comeback.
Not surprised....though not deserved! Like many, I really enjoyed Human and is actually my favourite Brandy album! Not sure why it did so bad in the US.. ? Anyway, hopefully this isn't the last we heard from her but I do agree with AAC that she needs to re-invent herself to come back HARD again...!
