Posted July 10, 200916 yr For someone generally quite indie she's only gone and had a breakout European #01 with '"Jungle Drum". #01 in Germany, Austria, Iceland, Belgium and more VERY iPod advert music (the quirk, Euro feel to it) and like many ipod songs I think this could do well here. It's just a nice summery, happy song [: nmK5X4KtSzA
July 10, 200916 yr love it, I entered it to BJSCXV and it finished 6th :D it demands a re-release here so I'm glad it looks likely to get one
July 10, 200916 yr Well it had support from Radio 6 Music & Radio 2's Radcliffe & Maconie show (a former Record of The Week of their's) back then (And it made #2 on my Personal Charts too). In a way it will be a bit sad and pathetic if Radio 1 only take notice of it because it is featured in an I-Pod advert, because they should have taken notice first time around. But then again Radio 1 have employeed the "Camden cretin" Nick Grimshaw in the old John Peel (Mon-Thu 10PM slot), so anything is possible.
July 10, 200916 yr Fantastic song  Suffered from 11th vote syndrome though for me in XV, much to my subsequent regret :(
July 10, 200916 yr I was very pleased with 6th place, hope it makes the best of! sorry to turn every thread into a BJSC related one :drama: back on topic, has anyone heard her album? Big Jumps is a very pleasant radio-friendly song
July 10, 200916 yr "Big Jumps" was the first single, I know because I charted it in late 2008. :P Ditto. She (the second most famous female singer/songwriter from Iceland) is most famous for writing this UK#1 chart topper. 1xSLpoQdRrU Kylie Minogue - Slow (2003 UK#1) ..And had previously released two earlier albums in the UK (1999 Love in the Time of Science & 2005 Fisherman's Woman) prior to her last album 2008 Me and Armini. Before the success of Jungle Drums, her most famous song was this wonderful gem (and one of nearly 30 songs that I thought about but not used in the BJSC!): MyuL1z2tejs Emiliana Torrini - Sunnyroad (2005)
July 10, 200916 yr Sunnyroad is gorgeous, I always hear it in various places, on Asda FM a lot particularly...
