I like that a lot. What's the deal? I thought her next US single was still Did It Again since she's been promoting that...

Well that's ridiculous. Europe should get whatever America gets and Did It Again is a far better single than this. Ugh!

She Wolf 10/10

Did It Again 9/10

Long Time 8/10

Why Wait 7.5/10

Good Stuff 8.5/10

Men In This Town 10/10

Gypsy 9.5/10

Spy 9/10

Mon Amour 11/10

An absoulutely amazing album

I suppose they really want to focus on the US this time after the effort that OF2 needed to become the success that it was. It makes sense that Europe/ rest of the world where she can sell well regardless gets sorted out

I'm actually glad we're not getting Give It Up To Me. I think it shows that we can acknowledge decent music when we hear it.

If it was a song on Timbaland's album it would be excusable but I'd rather Shakira not have to resort to this cheapo song to sell her amazing album to us.

Oh, and if anyone's thinking of buying the album but hasn't yet, please do!!! Madonna is catching up in the midweeks and it would be so great if Shakira could have a top 3 album with this!!
Buying it today, can't wait to listen to it. "She Wolf" is amazing, one of my favourite songs of 2009 so far.
debuts at #4. Shame Madonna pipped her, but still it's great she has another top 5 album!
great result in ireland, they really like her!!! shes never been there to do promo :o sales were close between madge and shakira, its s shame she couldn't hold on to #3 but shakira's a slow burner in the UK.
Oh my god! That really is bad. I didn't expect it to sink like that. Radio won't be adding Did It Again for another fortnight or so either and the video isn't out. The label need to get speedy at this point.

Where the hell is the Did It Again video?? There's such fooking idiots waiting...they need to get it out there.

tis a shocker to see it fall so hard, for now it is flopping, i'm not deluded call a spade a spade. but can it be saved? shakira is hard to predict. for now the uk public are totally unsure about her and the first single. they won't commit to spending £9 on an album. they may want to hear more. plus the release has no back up. when shakira left the uk the promo dried up, also i'm going to nit pick cause i think its relevent and is a importan factor...

the album is over priced why charge £8.99 for 10 tracks when you can buy madonna GH for £8.99 with 18 tracks or chipmunk which her competition also sold for £7.99 with 13 tracks. her album should have been £6.99 ;) or £7.99 i have not seen any tv ads or print ads/posters for She Wolf, they didn't back up the release.

Because the album is flopping hard, sony uk may be having crisis talks or they may not care and think they did enough. i wonder if DIA will get released. they may feel they need urgent action to save the album and need all out commercial track to save it like the timbaland track. but its not on the album? here comes the UK re-release, they should have delayed it like in the US.

thankfully shakira isn't chasing sales and chart positions. it doesn't really matter, she makes money from worldwide touring and she is in good hands with powerful live nation deal. she is leaving epic/sony. it only really sucks for sony/epic cause they make money from sales. shakira did exactly what was asked from her doing all that promo, if they handled it badly then they get what they deserve low sales.

An X factor performance would probably save this album. It's just a shame it's going to be out of the charts for a while before it starts climbing again. They just need to get the Did It Again video out there at least to keep album sales ticking over.

I hope there's an x-factor performance, though I get the feeling that she'd mime :(

album slips to #28 at the end of week 2

#40 in mids yesterday, i'm guessing it'll drop out completely by the week end in that case.

Though apparently it's been confirmed that she's going to appear on x-factor now!

#38 in the end. 04-28-38. Not too bad a drop this week. It needs to stay Top 75 over the next two weeks and then it'll start to feel the benefit from X Factor and Did It Again.

Thank GOD shes performing on X factor.

that should help out the album a bit.
