July 22, 200915 yr Author So that was the chart of 1999. As you can see Shania won by just 8pts. I, like many of you thought that Britney would win this easily. But it just goes to show, Shania didn't even make it to number 1, but she was very consistent, and it's that what won it for her. Very interesting to see Steps, Eiffel 65 and Macy Gray all in the top 10, despite having part of there chart run excluded from there final score. Steps would have almost certainly won it if there weeks from 1998 had been taken into account. But then you could say the same thing for some of the other songs further down, so it's swings and roundabouts I guess. Thanks again for all the comments, and hope you enjoyed it. I will be going away and doing 1998 and 2000 next, these will come up early-ish august. Hope to see you all there again.
