Dannii Minogue has insisted that she isn't giving up on her plans to crack the US market.

The Aussie popstar confirmed that she finally feels qualified to search for work in America following her success as a judge on The X Factor and Australia's Got Talent.

Speaking to the Herald Sun, she revealed: "You've always got to keep on the ball and now is the first time I've had the confidence to go to America and try it out - I really didn't have the confidence before."

Minogue has previously credited music mogul Simon Cowell for boosting her chances of US success.

In February, she commented: "Just being on his shows, sitting next to him, and learning from him has opened up a world of opportunities for me, particularly in America.

"I've had a few trips there [in] the past 12 months and normally you have to explain who you are and what you do. But as soon as you say: 'I work with Simon on The X Factor', they get it."

Minogue signed up for a new series of the ITV1 talent show in June.

yes.... she could work in America....

as a McDonalds cashier!!!!! :yahoo:

that's all the success she can get in America!!!!! :P

Kylie, Robbie , Steps , Mika, S Club 7 and zillions of other pop and dance artists did their best to crack America but they couldn't because, a simple as that, Americans just don't like dance-pop music!!!! and there is no place for it on US radios....

they're only into R&B, hip hop, country or american rock... that's all...

anything else will just be a novelty....

Dannii Minogue has flown out to the US in a bid to launch her TV career Stateside, according to reports.

The X Factor judge is said to have arranged a series of meetings with top agencies just days after Cheryl Cole was rumoured to have secured a position on the US version of the hit ITV1 show.

"Dannii is in LA for a week of meetings set up by the number one entertainment agency in LA - William Morris Endeavour," a source told Metro.

"She will be meeting with the best from TV and film. Some of her meetings include Ryan Seacrest's company RSP, NBC (who look after America's Got Talent and I'm A Celebrity) and Telepictures, who look after the Ellen and Tyra Banks shows."

The star previously claimed that she felt confident about cracking the US market following her judging roles on The X Factor and Australia's Got Talent.

Mingoue reportedly signed a £1 million contract last month to return for a third series of the X Factor.
