they were apparently signed to 3Beat a short while back...same as Agnes...don't know if that's still the case

shocker at On & On not being released, what's with the clips of the 'new video' then

OK not much help but just heard:

The next single is superb. You will be thrilled with it when you hear it. (About Agnes)

Alcazar is with us. Running order for the singles is as follows - Burnin', We Keep On Rockin, Stay The Night.

Really looking forward to Agnes' next single it has to be said, especially if it's a new song! On & On isn't one of my favourites so I was hardly thrilled to hear that it was single number two

Alcazar need to switch their order around; Stay The Night, We Keep On Rockin' Burning...they're not the sort of band that will get the chance to release three I don't reckon due to either the first, second or both flopping, so surely they need to play to their strengths and go with the best song first :o

My understanding of that from Alcazar is that they are releasing the singles in the least camp order possible. Burning is like an 80s track, We Keep On Rockin' is a funky disco track, Stay The Night, while awesome, is PURE eurocheese. I would love to share your optimism, but I don't see it as a UK hit in a million years :(

As for waiting till October for the second Agnes single - :manson:

it could be worse, September had a year between singles :/

hmm...something about Stay The Night tells me that with promotion/airplay, and a good video, it could be huge here...it's not the typical sort of thing that would do well here, but there are always surprise hits, and I think this could be one of them...Burning would do about as well as the Star Pilots song did if it's lucky...We Keep On Rockin' I don't know really...could go either way

We Keep On Rockin' would have been number one about five years ago, to be fair :kink: But I do see where you're coming from...

We Keep On Rockin' is great but I reckon Stay The Night has more hit potential...if I was to be honest, assuming the lead single got Radio 1 airplay, I reckon they would have the following chart success (bearing in mind the law of diminishing returns/airplay potential based on success of last single)

Burning - We Keep On Rockin' - Stay The Night (#19 - low top 75/will not chart - will not be released)

Burning - Stay The Night - We Keep On Rockin' (#19 - #7 - #27)

We Keep On Rockin' - Burning - Stay The Night (#38 - will not be released - will not be released)

We Keep On Rockin' - Stay The Night - Burning (#38 - will not be released - will not be released)

Stay The Night - Burning - We Keep On Rockin' (#2 - #14 - #27)

Stay The Night - We Keep On Rockin' Burning (#2 - #18 - #38/will not be released)

basically, the wisest order would always start with Stay The Night, but Burning - Stay The Night - We Keep On Rockin' wouldn't be a disaster either...leading with We Keep On Rockin' wouldn't work at all, leading with Burning but leaving Stay The Night until last (as they intend to do) will probably mean that we will never see Stay The Night here :snif:

I basically agree with that, definitely they shouldn't lead with WKOR. But I really think Burning has top 10 potential if properly promoted, which would give Stay The Night an almost deffo top 20-30. I wish I was as optimistic as you about STN, but I'm just not sure who would buy it :(
How retarded! Even if they want to release a new song in the autumn, surely they wouldnt lose that amount of money if they just stuck On & On as a download release and as the filler between Release Me and the new song! Argh firs Gathania, then September and now Agnes.. god knows how f***ed up Alcazar's releases are going to be.

maybe low top ten if they were lucky, but that would require at least 25k sales on its opening week :o I reckon it might go the way of Star Pilots...the video's a bit camp too to be fair, roller skating in public toilets :heehee: I just want them to make a video for Stay The Night to be honest, it's the only thing missing from the perfect pop track

That I can agree with :kink:

To clarify, the new On & On video is for the international release.

The way things are being worded makes me think the new single will be a new song. It would be fabulous to get a second re-release of Dance Love Pop.

I reckon when it gets a release, you will do the same thing as you did with Release Me in your chart. :kink:

Something tells me that the same sort of thing could be done with the UK release of Dance Love Pop as was done with Alphabeat's debut album, with alot of the songs being revamped and a few new tracks.

Otherwise sadly I don't have much hope for it in the UK market as alot of the songs on there need dragged into the 2000s.

Aww, On and On would be a certain hit! Unless all this is a publicity stunt, which I doubt. They should milk her dry while they can cause she's reaching her sell-by date... FAST!

Turns out the UK Radio Edit was used in Denmark. It is more like a club mix, but it isn't as cheesy and could be something. Could be a hit in the UK, its less in your face! It will be used in the music video!
