November 12, 200915 yr I'm sure more will be announced lol. Hope Belfast is added. It's a nice sized venue and I know where my favourite seats are :D I'll be going home for it if she does at it too! Dublins not a major trek though. About an extra for me from home than Belfast is.

I didn't realise you were Irish too Ryan  (although i suppose the wee flag should have given it away lol) I'll take Dublin in a heartbeat if it means I can def see her, its more just about the travel hassles, currency changes between the north and south (the Euro is SOOO expensive!!), and accomodation if i cant make it back home that night. My bro lives in belfast and has a perfectly good sofa that I use regularly  so i really hope she does add an extra date there!

November 12, 200915 yr Author Leona, who returned to perform on The X Factor on Sunday three years after winning the show, is busy preparing for her first live tour. The former pizza waitress is heading out on the road for a series of arena shows starting next May, following a successful one-off gig at the Hackney Empire, near where she grew up, earlier this month. She also has a new album, Echo, out Monday. Leona's detractors claim she never toured before because she was simply too shy and too nervous. But the singer is more steely and determined in real life than you would imagine. She said: "The idea of me being scared of singing is crazy - absolute madness. Every performer wants to sing live. That's what I live for. "Lots of people rush into things and do them badly. I wanted to wait until I had enough material - so I've waited until the second album. More importantly, I wanted to do a big show. I want to surprise people." Leona road-tested new ideas at last weekend's MTV Europe Awards in Berlin. Now she is putting the finishing touches to a world-class two-hour production, complete with dancers, lasers, holograms and state-of-the-art lighting. She has based the tour theme on her favourite movie, the 1986 fantasy Labyrinth, and promises a dark and romantic twist. She added: "I've been to see a lot of live shows over the past two years to get ideas. "My favourite artists are Beyonce, Kings Of Leon and Kanye West. I loved Beyonce's show so much that I've been back quite a few times. "But my show will be very different - dark and ethereal. "I have taken lots of inspiration from Labyrinth, loads of masks and costumes. I do like a stark performance. There are moments when it works with me just standing there singing in the mist. That can be extremely powerful. But I'm going to surprise people with lots of choreography and dancing." The tour will also be the first time Leona has struck out on her own without the guidance of X Factor judge Simon Cowell, the boss of her record company Syco. She said: "My tour is separate from his company, so I'm making a lot more decisions. It is my vision." And the star has hired the best in the business - Kylie Minogue's creative director William Baker - to oversee the show. He is the man who put Kylie in THOSE gold hotpants. Leona added: "William is an amazing guy and he's doing some really cool concepts. It will be amazing to watch. We have developed a great relationship. He has an amazing vision and he is very inspiring. He's really fun." http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/featu...ock-attack.html
November 12, 200915 yr Author Global Singing Sensation Leona Lewis is to open her first ever UK & Ireland Arena Tour at the Sheffield Arena on Friday 28th May 2010. Tickets, priced £42.50 and £28.50 (subject to booking fee) are scheduled to go on sale 9.30am on Friday 27th November and will be available from the Sheffield Arena ticket hotline on 0114 256 56 56, in person at the venue and online through this web site Hot off the heels of Leona’s first ever concert performance at London’s Hackney Empire, Britain’s most successful female musical export today announces a 10-date arena tour next summer. Speaking about touring Leona said: “I can’t wait to get out on tour and see everyone, I’m really looking forward to putting on a great show. I had such a fun night at my recent show at the Hackney Empire and it’s given me a real taste for it. Over the last few years I’ve had some amazing experiences and sung in some really interesting places but it’s going to be great to be able to perform all my own material on my very own tour. It’s a dream come true.” Earlier this month Leona gave fans an exclusive glimpse of what they might expect next summer when she performed at a special fan-only concert at the Hackney Empire and they were not disappointed! Neither were the press; The Sun reported, ‘A sterling debut from a blistering Brit talent. Bring on the arenas.’ The Daily Mail wrote, ‘Leona hit all the right notes, as a taster for a full UK tour, it was a triumph,’ and The Independent commented, ‘Within moments she’s captivated the crowd with that killer falsetto… it’s Leona’s endearing ascent to fame that’s made her one of the biggest-selling artists around the globe.’ Next year’s arena tour promises to be mega! As well as the biggest and most breathtaking voice in music, concertgoers can expect stunning state of the art staging and visual effects as well as choreography and an incredible live band. Leona will play songs from her smash hit debut album Spirit (such as Bleeding Love, Better In Time and Run) as well as tracks from her forthcoming new studio album Echo, including the brand new single Happy which got it’s UK TV debut on last weekends X Factor and achieved record viewing figures. No stranger to performing live, Leona has given countless performances around the world at some of the most prestigious events on the planet, including Nelson Mandela’s 90th Birthday Concert at Hyde Park and representing Great Britain last year at the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympics alongside Jimmy Paige and David Beckham. To date though, Leona is yet to tour live, which will make this tour another landmark occasion for the East London girl who leapt to fame in 2006 and has not looked back since. Leona releases her brand new album Echo on November 16th. It is the highly anticipated follow-up to Leona’s 2007 debut album Spirit, which took the world by storm, selling over six million copies globally. Along the way Leona earned herself countless award nominations and became the UK’s biggest selling debut artist of 2007 and 2008. Echo promises big emotions, sweeping and widescreen melodies and spine tingling vocals. The album sees Leona teaming up with A-list writers and producers John Shanks, Max Martin and Ryan Tedder. Leona Lewis will be at the Sheffield Arena on Friday 28th May 2010. http://www.sheffieldarena.co.uk/whats-on/leona-lewis/

November 20, 200915 yr Lewis’ world tour-projected to run for nine months-will kick off with nine U.K. arena dates in May and June, booked by Creative Artists Agency. She starts May 28 at Sheffield Arena and will also include two shows at London’s O2 Arena. Harry Magee, Lewis’ co-manager at London-based Modest Management, expects that run to be extended, or that Lewis will return for further U.K. gigs as part of a European tour in the fall. “In America, we’ll be touring in the summer,” he says, “either as part of a package or as special guests.” Dates in Australia and Japan will follow in late 2010 and early 2011. http://www.billboard.com/#/features/video-...04.story?page=5
November 20, 200915 yr Author Don't know why Belfast is more expensive. Sheffield, Nottingham and Liverpool all have £28.50 and £42.50 listed on their sites. Edited November 20, 200915 yr by Rain
November 21, 200915 yr I'm waiting to find out how much Glasgow will be, but I'm shocked at how expensive the tickets are elsewhere. I got 2 Lady Gaga tickets a couple of weeks ago for £66 including the booking fee and postage, so if I have to pay £50 for one Leona ticket, I'll be pretty annoyed. I'm sure she'll put on a good show, but I'll be expecting a creative masterpiece for that money.
