RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS rocker ANTHONY KIEDIS has vowed never to take drugs again, because he has achieved so much since getting clean. The UNDER THE BRIDGE singer now devotes himself to meditation and prayer, and insists nothing could convince him to revert back to his old ways. He says, "It wouldn't be just one incident. It would take me discontinuing the daily maintenance that has become a part of my life. "Things like prayer and meditation. It would take a change in the personal behaviour that keeps me from being too much of a self-centred a*shole. "They're simple ideas but they're important for me to live by so I don't have the need to change the way I feel with a chemical - because that's just a short-cut to feeling ok."

Well personally I always had a feeling that he may go back to drugs one day and COULD potentially destroy everything but I guess this is good news.

I still think he'll go back to drugs one day, I really hope he doesn't but I have a feeling that he still will.

How long has he been off them?

Quite a while now. I don't know the exact amount of years but he was at the height of his drug-taking when he released Under The Bridge.

drugs in moderation can be ok but moderation is the problem

I think it was probably the death of his friend and former RHCP guitarist Hilel Slovek which both made him sink deeper into drugs, but then eventually made him come out of it....

I hope he stays on the wagon, the world has lost too many talented people to heroin and cocaine....

There's really no such thing as 'moderation' when it comes to the stuff he was taking....
