Posted July 20, 200916 yr From her myspace: ... After palling around with royalty, I got on an even bigger aeroplane and went to Los Angeles, to rent a convertible car with satellite radio set to the 1980s channel and live out my childhood dream of pretending to be Tori Spelling, except with knock-off Ray Bans, high street jeans and my own tits, all to a soundtrack of Toto. (It was lost on me in 1989, and it’s lost on me now – Tori Spelling would simply be too cool to know any of the words to a Toto song. I know all of them.) The main point of this jaunt was to film the video to Real Late Starter, directed by Marc Klasfeld, the same man who put me in a South Central supermarket and showed the world 101 uses for vegetables they had never thought of before. As I write, edits are being edited, tele-cines (whatever they are) are being tele-cined, grades are being graded and as soon as I am allowed you shall be able to view the result. ... The first single is called ‘Real Late Starter’ and will be released on September 28th. The third album is called ‘The Graduate’ and is released on October 5th. The team Pallot elves have never been busier, given that we’re holding our equivalent of Christmas in October, and very soon you shall see some changes around here. Work is afoot on the new website (oh, and as an aside you will be able to use either www.nerinapallot.tv or dot com when the new site is up.) Please understand that while we have the builders in it might all look a little manky. But not for long! We have some slightly mad but fun ideas that you will all be able to get involved in if you so wish. But the cult of Nerina has always operated on a voluntary basis, as you know, and OBL would never think less of you for your lack of involvement. (Of course, she can’t help the fact that she’d love you more if you participate.) The Great British tour starts in my home island of Jersey on September 25th and continues throughout October, and I am going EVERYWHERE so nobody is allowed to whinge about being geographically neglected. (Unless you live in Uzbekistan.) Full blog here: http://blogs.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseact...logId=500776580 kP6OrSCWapM There is an mp3 of the studio version floating around but youtube just has live versions of Real Late Starter for now. Personally, I can't wait for this. I absolutely love her last two albums, especially Fires, and I've been eagerly waiting for a new album for ages now. I saw her live in St Ives last year where she played a lot of new songs and the new material sounds great. I love Real Late Starter, but I was surprised it was the first single because I thought it would When Did I Become Such A Bitch and it just sounds like a hit waiting to happen. I hope she gets some decent success with this album though.
July 20, 200916 yr Thanks! Can't wait either! Really enjoyed 'Fires', great album :D Still wondering what happened with 'Peg' though... @ RBM Dear Frustrated Superstar (first album, released 20-08-01) Fires (second album, released 04-04-05 / re-release 24-06-06)

August 14, 200915 yr I adore this  Also loved Everybody's Gone To War. But tbh never heard WDIBSAB...

August 19, 200915 yr I've got to say releasing Real Later Startet seems a very strange choice compared to the brilliance that is When Did I Become Such A Bitch; Everything's Illuminated and The Right Side (which was featured on Sky Sports coverage of Celtic v Arsenal last night - well Nerina is a big fan of the Gunners).
August 21, 200915 yr Author I've got to say releasing Real Later Startet seems a very strange choice compared to the brilliance that is When Did I Become Such A Bitch; Everything's Illuminated and The Right Side (which was featured on Sky Sports coverage of Celtic v Arsenal last night - well Nerina is a big fan of the Gunners). Real Late Starter was immediately one of my fave songs from the demos she posted...mainly because of the lyrics and the really catchy chorus...I never pictured it as a single though, let alone the lead single. It just doesn't sound edgy at all or have anything that makes it stand out really. Like I said though, the chorus is pretty catchy and I'm sure Radio 2 will be all over it, maybe Radio 1 as well. I wouldn't be surprised if it went to #1 in the airplay chart like Everyone's Gone To War.
August 22, 200915 yr I used this track for my BJSC19 last month, didn't go down too well in the final, I really thought it would take off. I really like this track, you actually can relate to the track itself.

I really like this track, you actually can relate to the track itself. Yeah, that's why I love it so much; because when I listen to the words I think "that's me summed up in 3mins20." I just can't imagine it as a big hit though.
September 8, 200915 yr Correct me if I'm wrong, but 'Fires' got Nerina nominated for a Brit Award and went Platinum, right? So why is everything about this album so low key, low budget and non-existent? I just watched the music video, it was funny but it looked like she shot it herself. And the album isn't available for pre-order on HMV, it's on Amazon but for 12 quid!
September 13, 200915 yr http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Y9JYtpLeL._SL160_.jpg Everything's Illuminated The Right Side Human I Don't Want To Go Out Coming Home It Starts When Did I Become Such A Bitch Cigarette It Was Me xLMJpYrVrKg Everything seems overly low-budget but still charming. I've heard all the album tracks and from 5 or more listens to each the album is going to turn out one consistant and great package despite all the cheapness surrounding it. She's got some rabbit theme going on as well as you can see. Quirky charming. Hopefuly the album sells well in a few weeks time and Real Late Starter makes a top 75 appearance at least, the charts obviously won't reflect how good the single and album truly is anyway but after her last era a dismal mainstream follow-up won't help much.
September 13, 200915 yr I'm listening to her on Radio 2 as I type at the Abba tribute concert singing SOS.
