Premier night in Cardiff :D

Interview with Matt Smith here - he is so enthusiastic! He just got me very excited for episode 12

Also brand new clip from The 11th Doctor!

Who is that red haired girl? It's not the girl from Sugar Rush is it?

Speaking of 'Sugar Rush', they should really get Lenora Crichlow ('Sugar Rush', 'Being Human') as the Dr's assistant  She'd be brilliant.

Really like the logo's too :o

I love 'Sugar Rush' and she's amazing!! She'd be a great assistant tbh!

That clip makes me even more unsure of Matt Smith. Obviously I'm not one of these loons who only watched for David, because I actually understand what Doctor Who is about, but Im so worried about him :(

Nina Wadia, Meera Syal and Sophie Okonedo :w00t: James Corden is worrying though.

Really not very exited about the new series tbh. Catherine Tate proved everyone wrong I suppose but I am concerned this is going to be awful.

The only reason Im worried (besides the natural OMG IM NOT GOING TO LIKE THIS GUY) for Matt Smith is because of the huge amount of people who only watched for David Tennant and aren't clever enough to understand what Dr Who is actually about and therefore wont watch anymore...
Alex Kingston was in the episode with the library wasn't she? Excited if so. And Nina Wadia

From spoilers and interviews I dont bleive anything will happen between them.

Amy

's boyfriend Rory apparently proposes early on before travelling with them. He is in the Venice episodes at least.

This from the press pack:

Karen:

Well, for a start Steven Moffat has written a brilliant character. I do think Amy is different from previous Companions because she's very equal to the Doctor. She doesn't take his word as gospel and she's always happy to challenge him. If he tells her to do something then she won't necessarily do it, she might go off and do her own thing which can sometimes create a rift between the two of them! They are best pals though and it's a very up and down relationship because they are both very passionate people.

The Doctor is definitely an alpha male and Amy is an alpha female, so when they meet, they combust. They have quite a turbulent relationship but it's also really passionate and they care about each other. Amy can really hold her own against him and Steven's written some great one-liners. It's a great relationship.

I think it's quite important that I feel like her when I wear the clothes. So I worked quite closely with the costume designer, Ray, and also the producers, to come up with the signature Amy look. They were generally vintage clothes, but we tried to incorporate high street styles as well because Amy is young. I think naturally there is going to be some of me in her style, as I relate to Amy and we are the same age as each other.

10 Teasers about episode 1 courtesy of DS:

1. The Doctor apparently loves apples. But maybe he's a bit confused.

2. The episode spans at least fourteen years.

3. The new Doctor uses the phrase "wibbly wobbly timey wimey" at one point. But that's not the only hark back to the past.

4. Guest stars/cameos include Annette Crosbie, Sir Patrick Moore, Nina Wadia and David Tennant.

5. You get the first glimpse of the new TARDIS right at the end of the episode.

6. Question: When is a crack in a wall more than just a crack in a wall?

7. "I'm The Doctor - I'm worse than *********'* ****."

8. Amy will have a rather pressing engagement.

9. The "outfit" that Amy is wearing at the end of episode one will be her outfit for episode two, too.

10. Shhhhhhhh.

:o Fascinating. Especially #3, #4 and #5!

Mega disappointment if they are the same Cybermen we've seen in New Who reappearing Dalek style. Although that big style Dalek ship in the new trailer gets me all excited!

Doctor Who Series 5 - Vampires in Venice Preview (Jonathan Ross show)

Matt Smith on Friday Night With Jonathan Ross 26/3/2010

This looks amazing from the new trailer and clip from Jonathan Ross. I'm so hyped for this now! :w00t:
The trailer does indeed look good, looks like this whole series will be quite dark from what we've seen!

From the clip and Matt Smith's appearance on Jonathan Ross last night he reminds me of a bizarre cross between Jarvis Cocker, Stephen Fry and Jim Carrey.

The proof will be in the pudding so to speak .... so bring on next weekend's episode.
