Welcome to the II BJ Olympiad coming to you live from Fettlebean, FNT Nickodonia. Over the next week and some the best athletes from the Buzzjack World will go head to head in a bid to win gold medals for their country and help them become the top sporting nation in the BJworld. It all starts here tonight! 31 countries will go head to head in a sumo showdown and a shoot-off. Will the hosts be at the top at the end of day 1? Or will it be one of the other challengers. Kicking off proceedings tonight is FNT Nickodonia's BJSCXIX entrant, Bird with Bad Connection!

Unfortunatley our president Felipe Massa is currently in hospital recovering from his terrible accident at the Hungarian Grand Prix, but he will fly home later in the week to wish all the athletes good luck. SUMO WRESTLING

We're live from the heart of Fettlebean as the Sumo Wrestling gets under way, 31 countries will participate in this knockout event and four will end up with medals (2 bronze, 1 silver, 1 gold), the pre-tournament favourites are undoubtedly the world champions Numayania along with the hosts FNT Nickodonia, but with the two drawn in the same half, at least one lesser fancied name will make it to the final.

Well, all three favourites (Nickodonia, Numayania and Hendinia) are safely into the last eight with a chance to contest for medals. Can Sangria, BaNG or Stevinia spring an early surprise and shock a fancied country into submission? We'll see :P...

Hendinia start the favourites here, but PRoJ have snuck through and will be hoping to upset the world #3 today. :o But the Hendinian has pulled out due to a splinter in his foot and People's Republic of Jester face Numayania in the final!

The Numayanian has made a great start to this final match, as PRoJ looks beaten before he's even begun. It's over already! There was just no denying the World Champion the BJ Olympic title!.

Haha, this isn't even an olympic sport so I don't mind losing. There should be a bronze medal play off though, you can't have four countries sharing the three medals. :o

Shooter, Jeremy Hylten, has vowed to keep Hendinia's hopes alive following a sumo Bronze medal. Hylten, who didn't come close to challenging in the last olympics, has said that he is ready to prove how far he has come since the last olympics. "I've been training non stop for this day, and I want to show people just how far I have actually come!" How far has Jeremy come? Far enough to win a medal, only time will tell...

Welcome to the second event of the BJ Olympics and we're here at the stunning Fettlebean shooting ranch to see who can follow Numayania and claim the second gold of the games. Nickodonia will be looking to put the dissapointment of 3rd in the Sumo behind them, although this event has always troubled Nickodonia and they finished last in both the Olympics and World Championships. However, the government has poured a lot of money into this to avoid the same embarassment at the home event. Kopečka won the gold in shooting last time out and after a poor start to their olympic defence in the Judo, they'll be hoping to get the gold in the shoot. Tinnmark are usually among the top in shooting and will be hoping to push the champions all the way. Hendinia proved in the Sumo that with a big sports budget anything is possible and their athlete has trained harder than ever and will by trying to replicate the success of the country which just scored its first Sumo medal, a result of a hefty government spend to make the games successful.

FIRST ROUND 5M RANGE

In the first round the competitors will have to shoot the targets from a 5m range and the 11 competitors with the lowest scores at the end of 5 minutes will be eliminated!

The home crowd is in disbelief again as their shooter finished last for the second Olympics in a row and the hosts end day one with just one bronze.

Same as the first round but with twice the distance and this time we'll cut the field in half until we have the top 10 vying for the medals.

Noteable exits there are for Ashton who finished the last BJO in second place but have yet to score a medal, however with swimming heats coming up tommorow, they should be able to re-assert themselves as one of the favourites. Hendinia improve significantly on previous showings but still fail to make the cut and former bronze medalists Nonsuch also fall at the second hurdle. Favourites Tinnmark and Kopečka remain intact but could an outsider upset the field in the top 10 shoutout?

Now only 10 countries remain and they're about to be narrowed down to two, here we go, at the fifteen metre range we'll lose another eight countries, thus deciding the bronze medal and then have our top 2 shot off!

So close, yet so far to the medals for all these countries. Numayania have another great run but can't make it two medals from two as Stevinia and Sangria have their second top 8 exit of the night. But the shoot off is between defending champions Kopečka and last time's 4th placed country Elёdan.

Numayania and Elёdan assume the lead at the end of day one as Kopečka slot nicely into joint third, well posed to take the lead when the swimming medals are awarded later in the week. It's been a dissapointing opening day for the hosts after their judo star exited in the semi finals and they finished last in the shooting, but with Trampolining and Archery, will things look up?
