August 2, 200915 yr Author http://i32.tinypic.com/29o52sz.jpg SUMO WRESTLING We're live from the heart of Fettlebean as the Sumo Wrestling gets under way, 31 countries will participate in this knockout event and four will end up with medals (2 bronze, 1 silver, 1 gold), the pre-tournament favourites are undoubtedly the world champions Numayania along with the hosts FNT Nickodonia, but with the two drawn in the same half, at least one lesser fancied name will make it to the final. Round of 32 FNT Nickodonia -> BYE into Round of 16 Palmyra bt Angelicland Botanikka bt New Rivermaya BaNG bt Torchwood Stevinia bt Liechenstaan FSR Rontvia bt Kingdom of Shadow Numayania bt Utopia Elёdan bt Ashton Dalisska bt Quotosibb People's Republic of Jester bt Herzebania Lievant bt Lorikeet Tinnmark bt Xanaga Juranabaijan bt Nonsuch Sangria bt Skall Hendinia bt Mdiče Kopečka bt Xyland No major shocks there with World Champions Numayania progressing and up and coming Hendinia making light work of Mdiče. Although, Juranabaijan have done well to make it through with their 5 stone wrestler! Now onto the Round of 16 to see who'll be in the semis. Round of 16 FNT Nickodonia bt Palmyra BaNG bt Botanikka Stevinia bt FSR Rontvia Numayania bt Elёdan People's Republic of Jester bt Dalisska Tinnmark bt Lievant Sangria bt Juranabaijan Henidina bt Kopečka Meaning the quarter finalists are decided!

August 2, 200915 yr Author http://i32.tinypic.com/29o52sz.jpg SUMO WRESTLING - QUARTER FINALS - FINAL Well, all three favourites (Nickodonia, Numayania and Hendinia) are safely into the last eight with a chance to contest for medals. Can Sangria, BaNG or Stevinia spring an early surprise and shock a fancied country into submission? We'll see :P... Round of Eight FNT Nickodonia bt BaNG Numayania bt Stevinia People's Republic of Jester bt Tinnmark Hendinia bt Sangria That's where the medals are at people; FNT Nickodonia, Numayania, PRoJ and Hendinia, but who will get which one? SEMI FINAL 1: NUMAYANIA V NICKODONIA http://www.asianjoke.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/Sumo.jpg And the Nickodonian challenger just can't move the world champion from Numayania, he's fallen and it's all over for Nickodonia  the home crowd falls silent as the World champion books his place in the final. SEMI FINAL 2: PRoJ V HENDINIA http://www.blurtit.com/var/question/q/q9/q97/q977/q9776/q977627_koni2.jpg Hendinia start the favourites here, but PRoJ have snuck through and will be hoping to upset the world #3 today. :o But the Hendinian has pulled out due to a splinter in his foot and People's Republic of Jester face Numayania in the final! FINAL: NUMAYANIA V PRoJ http://baxterking.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/02/sumo.jpg The Numayanian has made a great start to this final match, as PRoJ looks beaten before he's even begun. It's over already! There was just no denying the World Champion the BJ Olympic title!. Here's where the medals went! Gold: Numayania Silver: People's Republic of Jester Bronze: FNT Nickodonia Bronze: Hendinia Edited August 2, 200915 yr by nickthenoodle
August 2, 200915 yr Author http://i26.tinypic.com/25uqybn.jpg Sumo Summary! The shooting will commence at 10pm!
August 2, 200915 yr It's the only time we will beat Mdice & Kopecka in something  Bronze medal ftw! Good start for Numayania, I see.
August 2, 200915 yr Haha, this isn't even an olympic sport so I don't mind losing. There should be a bronze medal play off though, you can't have four countries sharing the three medals. :o
August 2, 200915 yr OMG :w00t: We won the gold :cheer: It's going to be our best result all contest :heehee:
August 2, 200915 yr Author Haha, this isn't even an olympic sport so I don't mind losing. There should be a bronze medal play off though, you can't have four countries sharing the three medals. :o :P They have 4 medals in all the wrestling/judo events in the olympics :P
August 2, 200915 yr "I've come so far, and now is the time to prove it." http://www.sinaimg.cn/2008/en/news/2007-08-31/U2096P461T74D190F1661DT20070831192426.jpg Shooter, Jeremy Hylten, has vowed to keep Hendinia's hopes alive following a sumo Bronze medal. Hylten, who didn't come close to challenging in the last olympics, has said that he is ready to prove how far he has come since the last olympics. "I've been training non stop for this day, and I want to show people just how far I have actually come!" How far has Jeremy come? Far enough to win a medal, only time will tell...
August 2, 200915 yr Author http://i32.tinypic.com/29o52sz.jpg SHOOTING http://www.chinatoday.com/sports/beijing.olympic.stadium/olympic.clay.shooting.field.jpg Welcome to the second event of the BJ Olympics and we're here at the stunning Fettlebean shooting ranch to see who can follow Numayania and claim the second gold of the games. Nickodonia will be looking to put the dissapointment of 3rd in the Sumo behind them, although this event has always troubled Nickodonia and they finished last in both the Olympics and World Championships. However, the government has poured a lot of money into this to avoid the same embarassment at the home event. Kopečka won the gold in shooting last time out and after a poor start to their olympic defence in the Judo, they'll be hoping to get the gold in the shoot. Tinnmark are usually among the top in shooting and will be hoping to push the champions all the way. Hendinia proved in the Sumo that with a big sports budget anything is possible and their athlete has trained harder than ever and will by trying to replicate the success of the country which just scored its first Sumo medal, a result of a hefty government spend to make the games successful. FIRST ROUND 5M RANGE In the first round the competitors will have to shoot the targets from a 5m range and the 11 competitors with the lowest scores at the end of 5 minutes will be eliminated! 21 Xanaga 22 Xylem 23 Mdiče 24 Lorikeet 25 Torchwood 26 New Rivermaya 27 Utopia 28 BaNG 29 People's Republic of Jester 30 Skall 31 FNT Nickodonia The home crowd is in disbelief again as their shooter finished last for the second Olympics in a row and the hosts end day one with just one bronze. SECOND ROUND 10M RANGE Same as the first round but with twice the distance and this time we'll cut the field in half until we have the top 10 vying for the medals. 11 Liechenstaan 12 Nonsuch 13 Lievant 14 Juranabaijan 15 Ashton 16 Hendina 17 Quotosibb 18 Botanikka 19 Dalisska 20 Palmyra Noteable exits there are for Ashton who finished the last BJO in second place but have yet to score a medal, however with swimming heats coming up tommorow, they should be able to re-assert themselves as one of the favourites. Hendinia improve significantly on previous showings but still fail to make the cut and former bronze medalists Nonsuch also fall at the second hurdle. Favourites Tinnmark and Kopečka remain intact but could an outsider upset the field in the top 10 shoutout?
August 2, 200915 yr Author http://i32.tinypic.com/29o52sz.jpg SHOOTING - TOP 10 Now only 10 countries remain and they're about to be narrowed down to two, here we go, at the fifteen metre range we'll lose another eight countries, thus deciding the bronze medal and then have our top 2 shot off! THIRD ROUND 15M RANGE 10 Angelicland 09 Sangria 08 Stevinia 07 Kingdom of Shadow 06 Numayania 05 FSR Rontvia 04 Herzebania 03 Tinnmark (Bronze Medal) So close, yet so far to the medals for all these countries. Numayania have another great run but can't make it two medals from two as Stevinia and Sangria have their second top 8 exit of the night. But the shoot off is between defending champions Kopečka and last time's 4th placed country Elёdan. SHOOTING FINAL - ELEDAN V KOPECKA Remember, it's not about who shoots first. It's not about who shoots the most. It's about who shoots the best! http://www.famouslocations.com/skins/uploadings/M_Lara_Croft_Tomb_Raider_2001_230420080323495.jpg Kopečka have opted for glamour and hope their competitor can bring a second olympic title. http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_VpbykP204hU/Rrd-7PlKBDI/AAAAAAAAAfc/Ik3EHe6MsaU/s400/woman%20with%20gun.jpg Elёdan have taken a completley opposite approach, but who will win? In a thrilling final shoot, Elёdan take the olympic title from Kopečka and move joint top of the medal table! Medal confirmation Gold: Elёdan Silver: Kopečka Bronze: Tinnmark MEDAL TABLE AT THE END OF DAY 1 http://i32.tinypic.com/24vofma.jpg Gold = 3pts Silver = 2pts Bronze = 1pt Numayania and Elёdan assume the lead at the end of day one as Kopečka slot nicely into joint third, well posed to take the lead when the swimming medals are awarded later in the week. It's been a dissapointing opening day for the hosts after their judo star exited in the semi finals and they finished last in the shooting, but with Trampolining and Archery, will things look up? August 2, 200915 yr Wow. The bookies in Hendinia are losing money over this - Tinnmark were the firm favourites to win.
August 2, 200915 yr Author Wow. The bookies in Hendinia are losing money over this - Tinnmark were the firm favourites to win. They led the first two rounds, but a shocking miss in the top 10 ended it all for them :(
