I'm indifferent towards Medina. I think it'll slot into third behind Silly Boy and Dollhouse.

I don't see anything below 20/1 winning...if something has low odds though, it doesn't mean I'm ruling out a top ten! With a few of them especially, it's quite obvious they're not going to win but could still do very well...

I keep hearing this...but surely a song less likely to win is much more likely to come at the bottom by default

 

who on earth votes based on the fact that they want their points to go to the songs in the top five? :heehee: my odds and predictas always match as if I think a song is likely to come last, then it simultaneously has the chance of getting the least points I reckon :heehee:

 

if enough people would be voting for Kongulo/A Bar In Amsterdam to go top ten, why would they have less chance of winning than something like Sabotage or Afrodisiac, which also are likely top tenners but would never win!?!

I think some songs are likely to appeal to only a select few voters who are likely to give them high scores though, hence why they might finish reasonably well but stand no chance of winning. I'd use Yohanna as an example tbh... it was obvious she was never going to win, but she got quite a few high marks and no lower ones generally.

Yeah, but that was only because there were so few voters (comparatively) in that :P with 50 voters though...

Yeah I suppose...I guess it accounts for why the indie songs in the normal BJSC nearly always flop...even a 12 from all of the most ardent indie supporters would barely scrape you into the top ten :o

nothing will stop Kathaldazia, Kopecka or Lotopialand could have quite easily won a weaker contest so it's a shame they got sent this month...I am slightly wary of putting all of Ashton, Hendinia and Angelicland in the top ten as I'm not 100% sure if three girl groups can manage this feat simultaneously...but I think they will...

Errm, you can bet your head on a plate that the only reason Livvi Franc did well was because MKL sent the Jason Nevins remix, which is a dance track. The original is dull as dishwater and wouldnt have gotten any points from moi.

I agree obviously with that comment, the original of that is bland...not that I would ever compare Now I'm That Bitch to You & I

 

I'm not saying dance crossovers never do well, far from it, Agnes won the contest and she's dance pop...what I'm saying is that this sort of minimal more subtle dance doesn't tend to do as well, but there's a first for everything...obviously I'm hoping that it will do well though as it's great ^_^

Yeah definitely, this is more proper dance than most of the stuff that gets sent. I think it'll lose votes from "pop" fans and gain more from "indie" fans imo.

I'll not be surprised if Medina finishes lower than Jark's entry :o
