Right, played it a few times now. I do love it. :yahoo:

it's a groweeeer

I like the lyrics and the beat and everything but it sounds a bit like Rudebox.. I'd like to hear his voice clearly and not like he's singing to me from space....

I love the last third especially

'Jesus didn't die for you. What are you on?'

Cheers :D

I really like it, especially the chorus and the end part with the choir. The part I am not sure about are the verses and the repetitive "bodies in the ... etc etc" parts.

CLick on listen live at the top right. Won't start till half 9. I assume he will be chatting as well. If he does it will be a more serious interview I assume

I found it myself  thanks though  I hope it will be a more serious interview :S they only talked about the new album for about 5 minutes

Yeah, there was more time spent on talking about UFO's ffs

I found the part about talking in your sleep funny  Jonny Wilkes interviewing people

what did Robbie say his nickname was?

I've listened 5 times now. Really pleased with the song. The chorus is definatly a big sing-along one, not similar to Rudebox, however if this song had to go on one of Rob's previous albums, Rudebox would have to be the most obvious choice for the style. It is not Rob of old, although it does have a big chorus - it is still experimental compared to the older material but alot more pop than most of Rudebox. It was afterall written around the same time with Brandon who worked with Rob on The Actor, The 80's and 90's.
I hope he does go on X Factor because that song would be brilliant live....

First listen on BBC Radio 1 and video is coming soon. Enjoy!

WHAT do JAMES CORDEN, CHRIS MOYLES and PHIL "The Power" TAYLOR have in common?

No, not a love of crisps, darts and ale (although that is true).

They've all been granted an early audience with ROBBIE WILLIAMS to hear new album Reality Killed The Video Star.

Moyles was on air this morning playing new single Bodies.

And I revealed in May how darts champ Phil was given an exclusive preview during a visit to Los Angeles.

Now pub-dwelling, Gavin & Stacey star JAMES CORDEN has been given an early preview.

He said: "I met Robbie in LA recently. He invited me round to have a listen. I was really impressed."

The pair got on so well Rob sat James down and played him the album from start to finish. And James loved it even more than the Baker's Oven under his old flat.

In fact, there was so much love, he memorised the words to his favourite songs.

And he used a selection to serenade one of my Bizarre team during the launch of Circle Of Gentlemen, a new fashion label co-owned by TV's NATALIE PINKHAM.

At the do held at the Sanctum Soho Hotel in London on Wednesday, the big lad revealed: "The album's great. I've always been a fan of his but the new stuff is a triumph.

"Robbie is back to his best. There's one track in particular that is a surefire hit."

That song is Morning Sun, a Beatlesesque track with sweeping strings and full orchestra.

Slimdog, as I like to call James, must have been pinching himself during his audience with Robbie.

He is a big TAKE THAT fan and even offered to quit acting if he got the chance to be the man band's fifth member.

It's all looking good for Robbie's comeback.

Yesterday I gave the exclusive first review of his comeback single Bodies.

It's a cracker and on course for the No1 spot after it is released on October 12.

The Power gave the album top marks too.

And if it's good enough for Taylor, Corden and Moyles, it's good enough for me.

THE SUN

It's being released the same week as the X Factor winner's song isn't it? <_<
Yeah with a choir up on stage and him running around, and singing in Louis Walsh's face  Would be brilliant :D

Single Review: Robbie Williams - Bodies

Released October 12

This morning saw the premiere of Robbie Williams’ comeback single on Radio One, and although Chris Moyles predicted it would be a grower, I’ve got to say, it’s an instant hit for me!

Back when Take That were in their heyday I was still listening to my parents’ Eagles collection and dancing my socks of to Pink Floyd, so I missed all that hype, and only really got wind of Robbie when he dressed up like James Bond for Millennium… let’s leave that in the past shall we?

Bodies is undoubtedly going to propel Robbie back to the top of the charts where he belongs, I mean, with this weather and the global recession, we all need a bit of pop music to brighten the mood - and nobody does it better than a boy band cast off!

The monk-like chants that open the single sound like they’ve been lifted straight off Enigma’s ‘Return to Innocence’, well, until they are interrupted by some weird elecrto sounds - which I’m told it what the kids are into these days… what with the MGMT & Casio Kids tearing up dance floors.

The real winner on this track is the ‘bridge’ and chorus, (yes, some people still have a bridge in their singles) and rather than sounding like something Peter Andre might knock up, “Bodies in the body tree, Bodies making chemistry, Bodies on my family, Bodies in the way I mean, Bodies in the cemetery, And that's the way it's got to be” is a huge build up to the smashing chorus that follows.

All we ever wanted was to look good naked”… Ouch, that’s Gok Wan’s TV empire down the drain then… thanks for that Mr Williams.

Oh, and I can’t leave it without mentioning the last 30 seconds of the single… a brilliant string section accompanied by a choir belting out “Jesus really died for you.” Possibly not the easiest thing to recreate live (unless your Alexandra Burke and have Simon Cowell eating out of the palm of your hand) but awesome nevertheless.

So whilst some people might not be a fan of the new Robbie Williams who’s been penning tracks about God and whatnot, this anthemic single, from his forthcoming album, Reality Killed The Video Star, looks set to be a huge hit this summer… in the FemaleFirst office at the very least.

But what do you think? Better than Take That’s ‘jazz hands’ songs or just another song from an over the hill pop star past his prime?

Yep, which is so silly but typical EMI. I think he should release it a week before as there is little competition as far as I can see. It is so far away though:o

Just seen Robbie on SKY news with the new VD...interesting that Steve Hardgraves is concentrating on the TT angle which I guessed he would as his musical taste is rather limited....they mentioned album sales but seem to totally concentrate on UK sales whick proves my point that many UK journalists are total parochial & have no vision...we do not exist as far as they are concerned....I hope Robbies worldwide fans get behind him on this one...

Funnily enough they palyed Rudebox on the Sky vd & I thought it was brilliant.... :P

I think the worst thing that could have happened to me today is that if I personally did not like BODIES & I do so I am one happy person...roll on album time...
