Are you seriously trying to say that the airport security didn't actually catch her in possession of the drugs in her luggage at the airport.....? :lol: Well, how the fukk could they tie her to the drugs if they didn't...... Your argument has absolutely no logic..... She was caught red handed with the drugs, did they somehow miraculously materialise in her luggage.... Bollocks, someone had to put them there.... I'm not assuming that she can do no wrong. I'm just saying that she has not been convicted in a fair trial. I can't understand why you are so ready to accept evidence that has not been properly tested in court.

Some thing just ARE that clear cut... And I would say catching someone with a fukkin' brick of heroin in luggage which the person FREELY ADMITS to packing falls into that category.....

 

At the end of the day, if you're going to visit these kinds of country, you need to eduacate yourself on the laws and customs of these lands, full stop.... Places like Thailand, Laos, etc, dont mess around with drug traffickers/smugglers.... How much money has been spent in advertising and educating Brits going abroad that they shouldn't be taking packages for other people...? MILLIONS..... And you still get these idiots who dont take this simple advice.... Well, I've not much time for this level of sheer stupidity tbh, hell mend them.....

 

I don't think anyone's denying that she had the drugs though Scott...agreed, it would probably have been a lot more clean cut had she just outed whomever made her take the drugs there and then, but I'm willing to bet she was bricking it far too much to think in any sensible fashion once she'd been busted in a country facing the death penalty...and do you really think she had a chance of outing these people even if she'd wanted to when the trial was such an obvious sham? OBVIOUSLY she was guilty but there were mitigating circumstances!

Trouble is, she's not outed them, at all, even now.... she's still not naming the names of these people who supposedly "coerced" her months after the fact... So, that's why I'm really not inclined to believe her.... Even her own mother doesn't believe her, so what does that say....?

She had the drugs, so she deserves punishment... She committed a crime in that country, so, she should be punished there.... It's a "harsh regime".... Awwww, diddums, she should've thought about that fact before committing a crime on their soil....

hmmmm so as you or I have not been present or privy to all documentation/ investigations or been witnesses to any of the events for all the threads on this board we will not be commenting on them? Because anything we discuss in here is hearsay isn't it? We don't actually know the facts on any national / global events do we?

 

there are differing levels of discussion though, most of which are subjective, some of which are more interest personally then others, and often the facts are more readily available.

 

i joined this thread after it had been well and truely discussed in depth. my knowlege/interest in it had already been surpassed and the only useful contribution i could make to date was the obvious one about the facts. the facts that i know nothing about.
