On 9th August I came in Zagreb. Like I said, I had to see them that night also. So, I was outside of Maksimir, with around 4,000 watching first two songs. I just had to hear them day before. I was standing there more then 1 hour waiting for show to start. But, as I was with my brother who didn't want to wait more, I saw only two songs.

My view for that day:

As I saw situation on street, saw how things are going first night, I knew when I should come for second.

My dad and I were outside of Maksimir around 6.30pm. I spent some time searching for place to buy t-shirt. I entered the stadium really quickly. I bought two battles of water, and they had to give them to me opened. I asked for plug, but they said no no...

When I saw all that space, when I saw the stage for the first time, I had some feeling you can't describe. We had some problems as all seats didn't have numbers, but we somehow find our place. And other problem was that my dad is afraid of high places, so he didn't feel really well few minutes. But, he really was better sometime during Snow Patrol performance.

I enjoyed in Snow Patrol music, but not that much. I was talking all the time with my dad and people around. And, Sparkle, believe me, on my left side was one women who looks a bit like you. That was weird. Snow Patrol really had energy, singing and playing songs well, crowd enjoyed... Today my dad says that he don't remember them that well. But, I had good time watching them.

I didn't forgot to write about The Hours, I just came on the stadium during their last song, so I don't have anything to say. But, I heard one good drum part.

When I heard 'Space Oddity' and lyrics Ground control to major tom... I knew they'll come on stage really soon. That song was somehow special and perfect in that moment. Firstly I saw Larry, coming out from south side. And then Breathe... People were trying to organize Irish flag across Maksimir with balloons, it didn't end up really well, but I think U2 realized the point and Bono was holding white balloon some time.

I had perfect view on stage, on all of them... My pictures aren't that good, but I really saw everything. Well, that's the whole point of 360.

Bono was speaking a lot of Croatian words. That's really great. Shows that he really cares. Not like some singers, who come in one country and don't even know to say 'hi'. Every time he said something on Croatian (and that was quite a lot) crowd give him one big 'Woooooooooooo'!

Get On Your Boots is much better live. :D Well, I even bought t-shirt with lyrics 'The future needs a big kiss...'

And I don't like Mysterious Ways that much, but since seeing it live... Let's just say I'm listening it a lot more. During that song girl Simona was on stage dancing a lot. After song people were screaming Simona some time. But, later I read they're disappointed, because she's from France. Everybody wanted girl from Croatia on stage.

I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For / Stand By Me (snippet) probably was the top of the night. Almost everybody were singing it really loud. I also. I remember I was singing that loud like never before. That great feeling is continued during Stuck In A Moment with only The Edge and Bono on stage. And people were really happy when The Edge was singing one part of the song.

I think I was one of 500 who enjoyed the most in The Unforgettable Fire. I love that song so much. Especially live.

Except I Still Haven't Found... moment I think people give the best reaction on songs Sunday Bloody Sunday and Where The Streets Have No Name. I was even jumping a bit during WTSHNN. I didn't have any problem standing on sitting places, though I read some people were asked from others to sit down.

Encore was also great. Everybody singing oooooooooo on With Or Without You, everybody holding lights on One and Moment Of Surrender... I was really surprised when Bono started to sing Shine Like Stars after WOWY. I adore that part, but I really didn't expected it.

After MOS I knew it's the end and wanted to get out as soon as it's possible, but some people stayed hoping for more songs! After 2 hours!

The sound was perfect. I have some little experience with that, but I know this was great. No drums push in your chests, no strange sound in ears after the concert. Lights are perfect also.

Some more things to say (like I didn't say enough so far... :P  )... For that day on tv they were talking it'll be rain at the night. So I took two jackets with me, but I didn't need them at all. Also on 10th was much better setlist then on 9th (which is 2nd concert really). And almost everybody agreed that 2nd night was much better, with more emotions from both sides, audience and U2.

I only missed New Year's Day and Bed in setlist, but now I don't really care about that.

I want all this again. And I hope for Belgrade in 2010. :P

I could buy book U2 by U2, but it looked to me like encyclopaedia, so I decided to buy this Diary. It's full of nice, small, big black and white pictures and stories. :D

omg we did that human wave like 10 times, right?

nice vids, a really great memory of the concert

oh and from what I understood, the Simona woman was from Slovenia.... so I've understood and the rest of the people around me.... that's why people were laughing so hard because they remembered Simona and Ante Gotovac (for all you people that are lucky enough not to know who the couple is... they got famous for nothing. A married couple that loves to present all their fights to the public for a show :D :arrr: She's a model and he's a businessman. Together, they're stupid :D )

One of the guys in front of me was yelling Aaaaaaaanteeeee when he heard Bono say her name and nationality...

Yes, I was wondering will we stop before they will come on stage!

Oh, I remember people were laughing, but on some other Croatian site I read she's from France. But, yes, probably is like you say. More reason for people to react in that way.
