Also, weekend sales are a major factor in who's Number 1. That's why, when CD:UK used to be on Saturdays, they would get it wrong from time to time (e.g. once Victoria Beckham was Number 1 on the Saturday chart, but on the Sunday main one it was Sophie Ellis Bextor).

Yesterday Shakira had moved up to 1500 sales ahead of Nelly! :D

 

the uk public have officially come on board and about time too!! thanks to them hips becoming bigger and bigger, i can't till its #1 so radio gets a bloody nose for being against shakira and not reflecting what the public are into and buying!!!

Singer-songwriter Nelly Furtado's run at the top of the charts has been ended by popstar Shakira, who took the number one spot with Hips Don't Lie featuring Wyclef Jean.

 

Furtado's Maneater slipped to second place in the singles charts, while the Pussycat Dolls featuring US rapper Snoop Dogg climbed to third from last week's 11th place.
