1) Did I specify you? If I did please point out where I did... I recall saying "For all Liverpool fans who mocked.." which WAS alot. I was not being specific to you.

2) You did steal sentences, and it was not just me who picked up on it. Two other people told me about it before I posted in the review (not that I see what this has t odo with this topic in any case?)

I don't mean to be funny, but I always find it's Man Utd fans that are obsessed with Liverpool's failure. My Facebook was literally full of people 'loling' (none from Manchester either lol) about Liverpool going out, yet they all go quiet when Man Utd got beat. I only watched injury time, but we were poor, Reading wanted it more - saying that we had chances to win as well. To be honest i'm finding it hard to care, this season is a complete write-off and at this moment in time I don't care at all. Unfortunately it's not our season and yet again tonight leads people into beliving the "Liverpool are nothing without Torres and Gerrard" theory. Gerrard has been one of our worst players this season. Truth be told I think he's a bit disappointed as he knows he might be missing out on the World Cup when he has his operation in the summer...

Aren't you from York, Roo?

Very surprised to see Liverpool go out of another competition, especially to a team struggling to keep their heads above water in the Championship. The season's been nothing but a complete and utter disaster for Liverpool, it just seems to go from bad to worse for them. It's too late to save their season now, but wholesale changes need to be made, (starting at the very top) if Liverpool want to save themselves from having a repeat of this campaign.

If Rafa's still manager come August i'll be shocked.

Yeah but I wouldn't really call myself a Liverpool supporter, more just a fan. And I never include football status updates unless it's about York. :P

The only changes that need to be made at Liverpool are the two Yanks to leave. We'll be fine after that. The whole situation is having a huge effect on the club, and players (as stated by some of the players).

I still think Rafa needs to go tbh, otherwise nothing will improve. Regardless of what's going on behind the scenes it's up to him to motivate and organise the players and get results on the pitch and it just isn't happening.

I mean, things with the board room were the same last season and he managed to get you up to 2nd in the league, so why not this season? I just think a change of manager will bring a fresh approach and possibly turn your fortunes a bit. It can't be easy for Rafa with all this shit going on but at the same time imo he needs to shoulder part of the blame for what can best be described as a waste of a season.

If Rafa goes we're straight back to square one. People don't realise this. Liverpool are working with a budget that's lower than all of the teams in the top half of the table. We're expected to win the league - we're lucky to even be challenging for Top 6 with the budget. Birmingham, Sunderland, Fulham etc. all have more money to spend than us! The players just weren't good enough last night. Things are different this season as they've realised the accounts were low, so it's the reason Liverpool's net spend over the summer was £0. Also Rafa's already made £6m in the January yet he's been allowed to spend £1.5m?! Something doesn't add up. The owners need to go, not Rafa. There's no way he'd go until at least the summer and he probably won't go as Liverpool can't affford to sack him.

Don't believe Gerrard has an 'injury' for one second either. He's been abysmal this season and really has become a bit of a joke this season with his attitude of late. Maybe it might be age catching up with him idk.

Chelsea haven't spent any money because of the embargo, they're still top. Most of their team is now either approaching 30 or already past it, and yet they're grinding out results and picking up points where Liverpool are dropping them. Arsenal haven't spent much either (Vermaelen was their most expensive buy this summer iirc) and they're still up there so to me the 'low budget' excuse doesn't really wash. I'm not denying the owners need to go but why is it other managers seem to be able to continue to pick up points without spending a fortune and when they've got aging players or even when key players are missing and yet Rafa can't?

Chelsea spent a lot of money in the summer, and will contine to do so, and have a fantastic team that on paper is the best in the league by quite some margin imo. Arsenal have a high budget, it's just Wenger chooses to spend the money elsewhere on younger players that maybe don't command such a high fee, but with signing-on payments and tribunals it all adds up. Liverpool need to strengthen, the summer left us considerably weaker than last season and injuries to players this season have cost us badly. At least 80% of our first team have been injured at some point this season and if there's no money avaliable we can't strengthen in the positions to play.

Liverpool might not have as much money to spend on transfers, but to say they have a budget smaller than the likes of Fulham and Birmingham is pretty ridiculous. Neither of those could even remotely afford the wages that Liverpool pay to the likes of Gerrard. Liverpool's problem is that Rafa has bought too many average players for too much money. Yes, he doesn't have loads to spend but Babel, Riera, Degen, Voronin, Dossena, Lucas, Insua... Even the ones that came on frees, there are better players in the Premiership earning less who also cost next to nothing. The other thing is that you cannot have one senior striker who's incredibly injury prone and expect to win games. N'Gog is alright, but it's no wonder they're not close to winning anything if that's the best they've got for second choice. He wouldn't be the second best striker in any of the teams above Liverpool. I also don't think injuries have been particularly worse than the ones Arsenal or Man Utd have had. Arsenal will miss their top striker for the vast majority of the season and their best midfielder has missed a fair number of games through injury. Walcott, Denilson, Clichy, Gibbs, Rosicky, Nasri and Bendtner have all had lengthy spells on the sidlines. Man Utd had one senior defender, they've both coped better.

To be honest Rafa just gets too much unwaranted stick, the media are gunning for his head and it's not fair on the bloke really. Take today for example - gutting. 100% better than Wednesday night. Showed gut and commitment only to be done out my a late goal and a how the hell that was never given as a penalty i'll never know. Yet again the team has been plagued by injury for the umpteenth time this season. Lucas gets way too much stick, was unbelieveable today. If that was Gerrard at the end the penalty would have given.

Stopping caring about the Chelsea match when we went 2-0 down within quarter of an hour. Same old Sunderland. Avoiding it all with a FM session.

I think our main problem is that i'm not the manager. My 2nd string Southampton team have just humiliated Rapid Wein at St Mary's 7-0 haha

I don't think Lucas is as bad as is made out, but I don't think he's a good enough player to be starting almost every game for a top 4 team, but then you're not this season....

Still, it was nice to be able to sing "Are you watching Liverpool" today, not something I'd have expected to be able to do this season! Another win, puts immense pressure on West Brom and Newcastle before they play on Monday. I hope for a Baggies win, it'll mean that Newcastle's lead over 3rd will have dropped from 10 points to 3 over the space of three games. Another fantastic performance from Lee Camp today, the more I watch him the more I think the chants of "England's Number One" aren't that unrealistic. It's very unusual that a goalkeeper would win an award like 'Player of the Month' but he did for December and was fully deserving of it. This season he's easily been the best goalkeeper outside of the Premiership and if we do go up I have every faith in him.

Sunderland seem to have such a small squad. How many did Bruce get rid of in the summer? Only most in the squad seem to be a Bruce signing or a youngster.

I tell you being a Liverpool supporter and having a younger brother who supports Notts Forest is really not good for my health and sanity at the moment.

He has waited a long long time for things to be like this I can tell you.

If you think Rafa's getting stick at the moment .....

Our squad is tiny (26 registered first team players, 1 of which is on loan and 2 others are under 18) and it's now costing us because of injuries/suspensions etc.

Tainio and a few youngsters were allowed to go out on loan, we've sold Whitehead, Anderson, Edwards, Collins, Leadbitter, McShane and Connolly and ended the loans of Cissé, Ben Haim and Davenport. Yorke retired in the summer as well.

We need to bring in players during this window badly otherwise we'll end up getting well and truly dragged into the relegation scrap.

Looking like Jones is going to come to Liverpool on loan... suprising.

Must have had a fallout with Bruce? I know we're skint, but this is a good piece of business!

Not sure why everyone wanks themselves silly over Jones, he flatters to decieve more often than not. If he does end up at Liverpool on loan, you'll see what I mean.

Bruce must have someone coming in if Jones is being allowed out on loan. There's murmurs that we've had a bid accepted for Cabanas but nothing concrete yet.

I read earlier there'd been a fallout between the two. I think he'd be good for Liverpool, he's very much a Rafa player, but I don't think it will happen now...

He underwhelms more often than he impresses. He has one good game for every dozen average/poor ones. He has the potential to be a top class forward and yet underachieves by not putting in the graft.

To be honest it sounds like he'd fit right in at Liverpool.
