Pretty much the same as everybody else... Wasn't keen at first, LOVE it now. It does grow on you!

To touch on the whole Bleeding Love comparison, i'm just so thrilled that she isn't even trying to tread on Leona's ground by going in the complete opposite direction that I feel no need to compare the 2. Guaranteed smash in the UK, i'm sure the video will be ace. I'm remaining sceptical about the US for now though, it's very rare that a new UK artist takes off over there, I was sceptical about Leona at first too. I hope she is huge though! :D I just hope that somewhere on the album we have some good belters where she gets the chance to show us some vocal aerobatics.

I love it now, anyone who doesn't think it'll get to number one is seriously deluded.

Why deluded  there is a chance it might not.

I actually really like Flo Rida's part of the song, and Alex's part after that ... but the first couple of minutes is just so wtf?! Like four different songs in one, and then she's singing something completely different

She ain't even coming close to Loena with that.

Sounds like each and every Keri Hilson song.

It sounds more like an Alesha Dixon song than a multi-million dollar artist's launch single.

Well she isn't a multi-million dollar artist. :P

Absolute shyte.

Her voice really doesn't suit the song. The Flo Rida's parts are OK, but a bit pointless. Maybe he's on the song to try and create more widespread appeal as to to me it just screams - gay anthem imo. So it's not really the sort of song that appeals to me.

I don't think it's that gay really...

Anyway the HQ (CDQ isn't out yet) really improves the song almost beyond recognition. The chorus isn't half as throwaway as I'd been lead to believe by the radio rip. It's very 80s disco with sharp production. I'm not big on the intro but the rest is great.

I always like Flo Rida for some reason and I'm quite impressed by this :o

I wonder if they'll continue to give contestants interesting songs rather than dreary ballads or is this only happening because Leona has them all nowadays?

I wonder will bad boys be the direction of the album, as im sure the album at the very least will be half ballads. To be honest i think her first single should have been just an alexandra single and not featuring another artist.

"The X Factor fanbase walking to their local HMV in time for October 12th..."

The track = Pretty good chorus, verse less memorable.

But would there be this OTT ("Womanizer meets Biology" © PopJustice) hyperbole had this been a new release by say Keri Hilson; Ciara, Ashanti, Brandy, Alesha Dixon or Jordin Sparks? I think I'm on fairly safe grounds saying that in 10/20 years time music historians will not regard this track as being anywhere near the greatness of Bleeding Love.

To me it sounds like a very good 2010 Eurovision Song Contest entry.

Put it this way Robbie Williams could comeback with the greatest song of his career matching the best thing The Beatles, Elton John, George Michael and :kink: Gary Barlow could possibly come up with and it would stand no chance of outselling this.

I guess this is the "Power of the X" for you.

It sounds more like an Alesha Dixon song than a multi-million dollar artist's launch single.

Alesha's songs are way better than that.

In response to TiP of course it's the power of the X, but people have the right to build and believe the hype given that they got to her to where she is by voting for her, and this is miles better than the half-baked bore that is 'Womanizer'!

Womanizer is easily the most overrated comeback single of the past year (and beyond). It really is CRAP. Repeating a segment of a word OVER and OVER does not and never will equal a HOOK. Never mind the fact that it's a total rehash of a song from Blackout!
This is certainly NOT better than Womanizer

No :(

This is one of those songs, I really quite enjoy parts of while it's on, but then never think about again. A bit disposable, and overall not something I'd buy I don't think. Still hope for the album though :)

I would have expected better given that people have been 'waiting with baited breath' almost a year now for this. It sounds like a Donna Summer 'B' side. Which actually makes it infinitely better than Womanizer but not the classic her fans were hoping for.
