PINT-SIZED popstrel Kylie Minogue is to appear in Hyde Park for her only UK gig of the year, as part of a BBC radio tribute to Abba.

The tiny singer, who has otherwise kept a low profile this year, will be playing at Radio 2’s Thank You For The Music event to celebrate the songs of the Swedish disco legends.

Also added to the bill for the 13 September show today was jazz star Jamie Cullum.

Kylie will perform her versions of Abba hits Super Trouper and When All Is Said And Done, on which she will be joined by Abba's Benny Andersson.

She said: "The opportunity to perform classic Abba songs on stage with members of Abba really is a dream come true. Their music has played such a great part in my life from a very early age and I'm thrilled I'll be able to share that with them personally."

The event is being hosted by drivetime presenter Chris Evans and broadcast live on Radio 2.

Other stars confirmed for the show include Lulu, Chaka Khan, The Feeling, Sharleen Spiteri and Elaine Paige. Andersson's Abba bandmate Bjorn Ulvaeus will also perform, along with the full West End cast of the musical Mamma Mia!.

Lewis Carnie, Radio 2's head of programming, said: "Everyone at Radio 2 is thrilled that Kylie is joining us in Hyde Park to celebrate the musical genius of Benny and Bjorn. Her performance promises to be very special and a must-see for all pop music fans."
