I think I might prefer the demo! :(

I LOVE the chorus, but her voice sounds quite weak on the verses I think. It seems her voice is more suited to higher notes (which I didn't expect at all), she sounds brilliant in the chorus!

Even though I prefer the demo at the moment I guess it's because I've listened to it much more.

I can tell I'll be playing this lots!

She was interviewed on Manchester radio Key103 this morning and premiered the song too !

Hopefully radios pick it quickly !

I LOVE IT! <3 Will definitely be buying this, beforehand I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Cheryl's solo venture but now I'm predicting great success.

I know a lot of people have been saying they don't think it sounds like Cheryl but I actually personally have the opposite view I'm surprised how natural her voice sounds.

Exactly my thoughts, her voice is really distinctive and it's weird to think it doesn't sound like her.

I especially love the contrast between the verses and the chorus, Popjustice said her voice was Withney-ish on this song and now I understand what they mean, her voice is a lot more versatile and interesting than what most thought.

The "Fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love" bit feels really immense and universal !

Listen to it with earphones or out loud and it makes you wanna go down the street and hold everybody's hands and sing it all together out loud to rescue the humanity with Love !

been listening to this on repeat for a while now. It is such a fantastic song to launch her solo career.

Im convinced it will go to #1 :o

Really like it. Better than Alexandra's single IMO. :)

I'm going to get eaten alive for having a negative opinion here, this is the GA Forum after all, but here goes.

This was exactly what I expected; nothing special. I agree with Cremey, the chorus is nice, melodic and memorable but the verses are weak and even with a ton of vocoder it's disgustingly obvious how out of tune she is, because as I always say SHE CANT SING.

Please bring on the 'OMG GO BUM ABOUT A GIRL', or 'OMG IF THIS WAS AMELLE YOU'D LOVE IT' GA loons. I'll be dissapointed if you dont :(

Why is there so much hate in your post (not towards Cheryl, we're used to it now, but towards GA fans) ?

I was never expeting you to like it but that's fine, you're entitled to have your opinion about the song, this isn't going to make me, Cheryl or anyone sad or annoyed.

Express yourself as much as you want but please just stop calling us "loons", and everything will be fine, thank you !

I don't understand how people can say Cheryl can't sing though. :|

Fair enough, she may be weak sometimes, but she was good enough to come in the top5 out of thousands on Pop Idol when Girls Aloud were first brought together. Surely if she was able to win that she can sing?

Meh I think it isn't even worth a debate. Cheryl is no Leona Lewis, but she still sings great live (especially on the tours  ), and consistant enough to be a popstar.

I'm sorry but I really don't think it's that good, it's SO generic and yeah it's catchy in points but so what? Cheryl's vocals on it really aren't that good, she's obviously got the weakest vocals along with maybe Sarah in Girls Aloud. I hope it doesn't get to #01 just because it's HER. I wasn't expecting much though to be honest so I'm not disappointed or anything.
It's nothing amazing and out of the ordinary but tbh I really like it and I actually love her voice in the chorus :o go Cheryl ^_^
Im finding it a bit dull and flat was hoping for a bit of excitment, roll on Nadine!!!
I think this might be one of my best songs of the year now, sounds even better loud!

Very good review from Digital Spy !

Well done to Cheryl Cole

It's a tricky one, this Cheryl Cole thing. Not only is she facing the questions levelled at any girlbander going solo - "Can she actually sing?" etc. - but she's got the added pressure that comes with her X Factor fame. She's already one of the biggest stars in the country, almost too big a star to be releasing her first single, so "quite good" isn't really going to cut it.

Fortunately, 'Fight For This Love', which premiered on Radio 1 this morning, is more than quite good. It's a midtempo electro-R&B track written by Andre Merritt, Steve Kipner and Wayne Wilkins, it doesn't sound like anything Girls Aloud have given us, and it's got a real quiet confidence to it. It doesn't slap you round the face the first time you hear it - the production's slick rather than bombastic, and there's no whopping great hook - but after three or four plays it seduces you like a high-class hooker. "This," you realise, "is a really good song."

And Cheryl? Well, her vocals are husky, sexy and stronger than many would have expected. The lyrics, without getting too gossip raggy about it, do strike a chord given her romantic history. Ear-snagging lines include "Now everyday love ain't no picnic" and "Knowing too much can get you hurt", but the song's message is actually very positive. "We gotta fight, fight, fight, fight, fight for this love," she sings on the chorus, "If it's worth having, it's worth fighting for."

Needless to say, she's got a lot still to do, but 'Fight For This Love' gets Cheryl Cole's solo career off to a cracking start. Roll on the video, the album and of course the vitally important X Factor performance.

And OMG Lukuzz, your youtube link is being used on the METRO website : http://www.metro.co.uk/metrolife/music/art...p;in_page_id=25

So it has your name on the page ! Woo hoo !

I'm really unsure what I think - I think I need to hear the full song instead of the radio rip before I can actually say I like it
