Posted September 2, 200915 yr The Saturdays have continued their war of words with rival girlband Dolly Rockers. http://images.digitalspy.co.uk/09/24/160x120_the_saturdays_01.jpg In June, the Rockers claimed that the 'Issues' stars "could have been five completely different girls and nobody would have given a s**t". Responding to the jibe in an interview with Take 5, Rochelle Wiseman commented: "Well they could be any three girls because I don't even know who the hell they are." The singer also suggested that The Saturdays will have the edge in future chart battles with the Rockers and other new girl groups like Bubbel G () and Girls Can't Catch. She claimed: "We are the only good one! I like Girls Can't Catch, though. They're nice girls." Wiseman has previously dismissed the Dolly Rockers as "chavs". Edited September 2, 200915 yr by Robot
September 2, 200915 yr Do you think Rochelle's head will explode if her ego gets any bigger? Anyway, another lovely and very true comment from Roch though.
September 2, 200915 yr Author Do you think Rochelle's head will explode if her ego gets any bigger? Anyway, another lovely and very true comment from Roch though. She does seem a little bit too cocky...
September 2, 200915 yr I love rochelle but gurl needs to stfu, the sats aren't even that big yet. 1 barely platinum album does not a legend make. God I hope she keeps that ego in check if they do continue to have greater sucess.
September 3, 200915 yr lol at least she had the sense not to start a row with GCC when they are on the same label. But yes, the girl clearly has an ego and I've heard many say it especially since meet and greets from the tour.
September 4, 200915 yr She didn't seem the 'ego' type to me. Ah well I care not for them just the good music they seem to keep releasing. As for those Dolly Rocker things though. They're a serious band then? Because their song is disgusting on a level that even Paris Hilton's pop career couldn't manage. Terrible looking girls and vile music to boot.
September 5, 200915 yr Well she has changed, she wasn't cocky when she presented Smile. She's always been my fave member of the band but now reading this I'm going off her a bit. Yeah maybe what she's saying is true but there's no need to be big headed.
September 6, 200915 yr Ewwww, see those comments are arghhhhhhh, Rochelle needs to STFU and quick. Yes, it may be true but The Saturdays are not the best in the game yet, where did their 'Work' single peak again? ;) fair enough if you're a number 1 selling artist you could be allowed to say it.... but a couple of top 10 singles and suddenly she thinks shes on par with Destiny's Child grrr.....
September 6, 200915 yr Anyone? No? Fine i'll say it. Work was a 5th single from a sucsessful album and was never going to be THAT sucsessful and imo it did ok, not brilliantly no but it did fine. In a totally un-related maner the Dolly Rockers are currently struggling for a top 40 posistion.
September 6, 200915 yr Oh yeah, forgot she did Smile.. I loved that programme. :P I agree though, she needs to stop retaliating.
September 7, 200915 yr Whilst the Dolly Rockers aren't exactly great at least their sound is far more defined than any other girlband. The two Girls Can't Catch songs I've heard, I'd have just assumed they were Saturdays songs if I was just hearing them...
September 16, 200915 yr The Dolly Rockers have admitted that they regret criticising The Saturdays earlier this year. The girlband, whose debut single 'Gold Digger' recently stalled at number 46, insisted that they were naive in dealing with the press and their comments were misinterpreted. "That was one of the first interviews we did and we could have been a bit cleverer," singer Lucie Kay told In The News. "It wasn't in a nasty way, The Times asked us if we'd compare ourselves to them and we said no because they were put together and we weren't. We're not saying they're rubbish." Brooke Challinor added: "We thought every person we spoke to was our best friend and they'd understand how we come across in person, but the way one comment is written might be a lot different to the way it was said. "We said we wouldn't compare ourselves to the Saturdays 'cause they're manufactured and we're not, but it was printed as us saying we were better than them. "Which obviously we've got no right to say, they've got a year on us and we've not even had a hit." The Saturdays singer Rochelle Wiseman blasted the three-piece as "chavs" following the original comments. Dolly Rockers release new single 'Boys And Girls' next month.
