completely random topic but I just realised that this was #5 in the UK (#1 in my chart :kink:) exactly 10 years ago this week

what a brilliant pop song  shame they were a one hit wonder although I have their album on mini-disc (I was a big fan and it was the only format it was released on ) and it was quite bland :(

they were quite international, one was German (Shakira lookalike), one was French and two were English (one of whom looked like Monica from Friends/Courtney Cox )

I much preferred the follow up, which if memory serves me well just failed to reach the top 40 late in 1999:

Thunderbugs - It's About Time You Were Mine

that was very good, the only other decent song on the album from what I can recall, I think I have that on cassette single actually

I have Friends Forever on CD, that on tape and the album on Mini-Disc! 1999 was certainly a time of transition for musical formats! I think that song got to #44 or something, deserved much better

I used to love these! i thought i was the only one :heehee:

before i had cd's etc i used to tape music videos off the box, and then play them upstairs on my tv in my room with my cassette recorder next to speakers and sit very quietly so i could get the music onto cassette and listen to it on my walkman! i used to sit and do that for hours and there was always someone who would ruin it by coming in the room

haha o god i have the single somewhere. talking of forgotten 90s songs does anyone remember this

I loved it :( haha

 how did we ever live before MP3's/youtube/audacity!

I used to tape videos off the TV too and watch them over and over again  there was a dance channel called Rapture that I taped a load of videos from!

I didn't like that as much but it's still great, went top ten too didn't it, the lead singer's voice is very distinctive, the new singer Daisy Dares You sounds exactly like her

I used to love them, the lead singer was called Jaime Somers after the Bionic Woman character. I remember them doing a single with Buffy as well at the time.

That Thunderbugs song is god awful lol. I can't believe it made the top 5, if it was released now it probably wouldn't even make the top 50! The Hepburn song though is still pretty cool, it was one of the first CD's I brought and I still have it somewhere

It's clearly an AWFUL song, but I loved it back then in my younger days, and so I still love it in a nostalgic way.
I loved friends forever and i absolutly adored hepburn i quit, if my memory serve sme correctly we also had bellefire in this era who i also loved.
I have both Hepburn & Thunderbugs on CD  how sad.
