I'm From Barcelona is an indie-pop act from Jönköping, Sweden, best known for its 29 band members and eclectic mix of instruments such as clarinets, saxophones, flutes, trumpets, banjos, accordions, kazoos, guitars, drums, and keyboards among others. While most band members provide backing vocals on releases and during live performances, Emanuel Lundgren is founder, principal songwriter and lead singer for the group.

In 2006 the band released an EP entitled Don't Give Up on Your Dreams, Buddy! as well as a full length album, Let Me Introduce My Friends - both of which were well received critically.

hope that will get it into you!!!!!

You really are one of the most PECULIAR characters I've ever come across on the internet.

IF this is indie, then it's the uncoolest video by an indie act ever

its one of those leftfield alternative 'twee-pop' groups that turn up once in a while in the NME and get a mention when they've not going on about the klaxons.

file next to camera obscura, the field mice and Saint Etienne as well as the polyphonic spree.

i'd like to hear this album actually...

always had a soft spot for swedes too :)

there you go, just for you mate

 roxette

i didn't mind roxette even at the time! was in Sweden win they were huge actually...

...oh.. the skeletons in my closet.... haha

fav swedish band tho is The Nomads. Mostly big in the late 80's and early 90's. Think Sisters of Mercy...

This is far more indie than half the $h!te that gets raved about in here. They're on an independent label for a start, and a Swedish one at that. Also, isn't having 29 members a little more risky than being yet another four piece band of kids with the right hairstyle (oh, and a drummer who does his own hair-thing)

So, yes - it's indie...and the rest of the EP is ace too :)

at last someone who MUST read the (more interesting parts of the) NME. Good on you mate! Award yourself a large cold beer at the bar

I honestly cant decide whether I love this or hate it to be honest... But their Indie credentials are undisputed and it certainly has more right to be in an "Indie" Forum than most other bands discussed here....

It kinda sounds like the sort of thing Wayne Coyne from Flaming Lips might do when he's in a happy, playful mood.....

:yahoo:  :yahoo:

It's out next week now - was put back 2 weeks - glad it hasn't mysteriously vanished.
