I know I'm like 2 years late but only just untill now have I gotten into TEOM :lol: Probally because of the boot and imune, but still, I shall post my review on this album B)

 

Track One It's Like That

 

Her first good comeback in 6 years (and yes, I'm ignoring the Westlife duet <_< ) and she comes back with this fabby wabby RnB tune :wub: I must admit, the song dosn't live up to her name as a singer, but just by listening to the song you can tell she's a true diva, and, I LOVE the vid, she looks great in it. Don't know why this only got to #4 though, it was played practically everywhere! Plus the vid is also a follow-up to one of Mariah's best song ever!..

 

Overall: Good RnB tune, a brilliant choice of song to show of her new image and style, if you get what I mean. 9/10

 

Track Two We Belong Together

 

Ok, time to get serious :manson: One of Mariah's best songs, EVER. It's Like That may of been her come-back single, but We Belong Together meant she really was back! The video has Mariah in a Wedding Dress, a follow-up from the It's Like That vid, and then ends with her running away with another bloke, what a cow! :o The song is full of emotion & power, it has that hint of the old Mariah :wub: The only thing that bugged me was when she sung this at Live Aid, where she could of sung classics like Hero & Without You.

 

Overall: One of the best songs on the album, and in the line of best Mariah releases, this was the song that made me buy this album ^_^ :wub: 11/10

 

Track Three Shake It Off

 

Tbh, I've always hated it when she sings in that breathy way, which she does in this song :manson: Really dislike this song, although it's a shame as it had a good vid ^_^ I dislike the song, but it isn't terrible, I've definitely heard worst! :lol: So I guess it's just above average. ^_^

 

Overall: An ok song, don't like it much though :( 7/10

 

Track Four Mine Again

 

Kelly says it's bland, however, she is VERY wrong :smoke: This is alongside some of my favorites on the album ^_^ The song is all about the voice, yes she's still got it :wub: It's like a kinda ballad type song. What I like about it, is that it's big vocals, but they've just been made a bit quieter, which I think adds a great affect to the song!

 

Overall: Brilliant, powerfull, emotionall, amazing, super - duper, song. 11/10

 

Track Five Say Somethin'

 

Eugh. Why? Thats all I can say about this song. It's a bland attempt at a RnB song imo, why on earth did she attempt to release it? It's c**p, there where so many good songs she could of chose from of TEOM yet she chose this to end the album?! Talk about ending things on a high, eh?! The video is just as bad, she's in a bikini :puke2:

 

Overall: Bland, c**p, awfull attempt at a RnB song, plus the video :puke2: 1/10

 

Track Six Stay The Night

 

Well at first it sounds like a slow version of it's like that, but just alot more powerfull! I love the chorus. :wub: Makes up for the slow versus. The only thing that really bugs me is the rappers in the background going on about god knows what. -_- Her voice does sound amazing in it, especially near the end. :wub:

 

Overall:It's like a slower, but ALOT more powerfull version of Like That imo. If itwasn't for those horrid rappers in the background I would of given this 11! :wub:10/10

 

Track Seven Get Your Number

 

Now I really don't like this. :( To me, it's to similar to Say Somethin imo. Tbh, the only thing I like about this is Jermaine Dupri! :lol: It's just another one of those awfull RnB songs where she dosn't show of her voice, thats the Mariah I prefer, the one who shows of her voice ALL the time! :wub:

 

Overall:Awfull RnB song, although the chorus is quite catchy! ^_^ 4/10
