Posted February 4, 200718 yr http://www.tennesseethefilm.com/ The Official Tennessee Site Now Online! The official site of Tennessee The Film is now up! The site, however, currently says "Coming Soon!" but the cast & crew listing and synopsis have been posted. The pictures of the film's teaser banner, the producer, the director, and the main cast are shown in a polaroid-like slide show. Check it out! Produced by: Lee Daniels (Monster's Ball, The Woodsman, Shadowboxer) Directed by: Aaron Woodley (Rhinoceros Eyes) Cast: Mariah Carey - KRYSTAL Adam Rothenberg - CARTER Ethan Peck - ELLIS Lance Reddick - FRANK Synopsis: Two brothers, Carter and Ellis, embark on a journey from New Mexico to find their estranged father in the hopes of saving Ellis, who has been diagnosed with terminal leukemia. Along the way they meet Krystal, an aspiring singer who joins them on their journey. A new interview with Willie Nelso reveals that he is working on a song with Mariah for a film. Most likely, this is for her upcoming film Tennessee. Meanwhile, he said he's working with pop star Mariah Carey on a song and a film. "These things come up," he said, laughing, "and I just say, 'What a hell of a deal.'" She better NOT be doing a soundtrack. :arrr: Looks like she's doing a track for it at the very least. :o
February 4, 200718 yr Author I don't think a new direction as such, perhaps just the title of the film ties into him as he is quite country-ish...
February 4, 200718 yr I just associate Willie Nelson with country music, so it could be a different direction musically.
February 4, 200718 yr Author Perhaps. ^_^ Mind you he collaborated with Jessica Simpson on "These Boots Are Made For Walking". ^_^
February 4, 200718 yr Author A little bit, but it was also very raunchy. I don't think I would like Mariah to do country to be honest. It's huge in America yes, but the UK spits it straight back out. :(
February 4, 200718 yr The video and the voice of Jessica made it seem very raunchy. I prefer the Nancy Sinatra version myself.
February 4, 200718 yr Author I haven't heard the Nancy version that much, but I thought Jessica's was alright. ^_^
February 4, 200718 yr Maybe she will just be featured on the OST? Probably singing the majority of the songs becuase, well why would they not use Mariah's voice if they can?
February 4, 200718 yr Author It's good for us because we want more material from her, but we've learnt from Soundtrack mistakes. -_- Oh my God I just had a breakthrough, maybe this is what Mariah means by 2 new albums? The soundtrack and the new studio album. :o

February 5, 200718 yr she plays a country/folk singer in tennessee so a song with one of the most successful country artist is just fine for me.. i would love to hear a new non r&b song by mariah. Universal sad mariah will release or be featured on 2 albums: i guess they mean a new studioalbum in 2007 and maybe 3-5 songs on the soundtrack of tennessee..
February 6, 200718 yr Willie Nelson..I really hope it's not leaning toward country..there aren't many country songs/artists that I like..
February 6, 200718 yr Author Willie Nelson..I really hope it's not leaning toward country..there aren't many country songs/artists that I like.. It doesn't mean it will be totally country, I mean look at These Boots with Jessica Simpson, well that's what i'm clinging onto anyway.
February 6, 200718 yr or they come up with something like I'll always love you (a kind of dolly parton ballad).. i don't like country that much too, but still there exist some good songs though
February 6, 200718 yr Author I don't think it'll be a change of musical direction as such, just a song or two for the film.
February 6, 200718 yr I think it'll be country/blues ish, she experimented with Blues during her Pepsi ringtones and it sounded really good, maybe she's doing that? I hope she doesn't do the soundtrack though, as it's only an Indie film.
