Posted February 10, 200718 yr Aussie rockers' UK deal February 11, 2007 12:00am AUSTRALIAN rock group Rogue Traders have signed on as the support act for Girls Aloud's British tour, giving them an opportunity to build their UK fan base. The band - Natalie Bassingthwaighte, James Ash, Timothy Henwood and Cameron McGlinchey - are also rumoured to be on the verge of signing with a major label in the US. Girls Aloud is the UK's highest-selling pop group. The tour will see Rogue Traders play some of the UK's biggest venues in May, including London's Wembley Arena. Signed to Sony BMG in Australia, Rogue Traders have attracted a lot of interest overseas since the release of their first single, Voodoo Child. Locally, the group have had massive success with their debut album, Here Come The Drums, and have had a number of hit singles. In the UK, Voodoo Child reached number three in the singles charts. Last week, they filmed the video clip for their third single in the UK, Way To Go. The group's management confirmed the band had been in discussions with a major US label.
