Posted May 9, 200719 yr McFly heading for singles summit 08 May 2007 - 14:16:42 Source: Music Week McFly’s Baby’s Coming Back (Universal) looks likely to be the week’s highest new entry on the singles chart, potentially knocking Shakira and Beyonce’s Beautiful Liar (Columbia) off the top spot after 3 consecutive weeks. It has already sold 2,000 more copies, and with the double A-side version of Coming Back, including Transylvania, at number two the boy band looks set to make a big impact in the Sunday chart. Other new entries look likely to come from Booty Luv, already riding high on the club charts, with Shine (Hed Kandi), and The Maccabees with Precious Time (Fiction). Akon’s Don’t Matter (Universal) looks set to move into the Top 10, as does Linkin Park’s What I’ve Done (Warners). The week’s highest climber could be from England’s Eurovision hopefuls Scootch, with Flying The Flag (For You) (Warners), jumping over 120 places so far. Album-wise, there could be as many as four new entries into the Top 10 this week, with the Manic Street Preachers’ Send Away The Tigers (Columbia) set to threaten Sheffield’s Arctic Monkeys first place position with Favourite Worst Nightmare (Domino). The welsh act sold around 20 copies less than the Arctic Monkeys yesterday. Travis also look likely to win a place in the Top 10 with their new release The Boy With No Name (Independiente), while Björk’s Volta (One Little Indian) is also shifting fast. Beverley Knight’s Music City Soul (Parlophone) looks set to enter the chart in the Top 20 this week, as is Groove Armada’s SoundBoy Rock (Columbia). =========================================== Singles 01 McFly - Baby's Coming Back/Translyvania (P) Top 5 Akon - Don't Matter (P) Top 10 Linkin Park - What I've Done (P) Hellogoodbye Here (In My Arms) (D) Top 15 Amerie - Take Control (P) Scooch - Flying The Flag (For You) (P) Top 20 Funeral For A Friend - Into Oblivion (Reunion) (P) Jamie T - Sheila (P) Top 30 JoJo - Anything (P) Top 40 Ross Copperman - All She Wrote (P) Red Hot Chili Peppers - Hump De Bump (P) Top 50 Maccabbees - Precious Time (P) Armand Van Helden - NYC Beat (D) Top 75 Booty Luv - Shine (D) Meat Loaf - Cry Over Me (P) Therese - Feelin Me (P) Reverend And The Makers - Heavyweight Champion Of The World (D) ======================= Albums 01 Arctic Monkeys (21 copies ahead) 02 Manic Street Preachers 03 Michael Buble Top 5 Travis Bjork Top 10 Groove Armada Top 15 Beverley Knight Top 40 Elliott Smith Dolores O'Riordan Top 75 Gym Class Heroes CSS Carla Bruni Credit to Andy70 @ havenforum

May 10, 200719 yr Mikey, if you do know then could you please tell me where the following are: Singles: Amerie Natasha B Albums: Natasha B Bjork Beverly Knight Thankies! :D If I were to take a stab at it, I'd say Amerie #10, and in albums Bjork looks like she's definitely #5, and Beverley Knight #9/#10?
May 10, 200719 yr Oh yeah remember that, but that god a lot more radio play than Anything, it was massive on radio! Not that much airplay, it was only B-listed on Radio 1 like Anything. Plus it was the 4th single of the album, so it actually did great.
May 10, 200719 yr If I were to take a stab at it, I'd say Amerie #10, and in albums Bjork looks like she's definitely #5, and Beverley Knight #9/#10? yeah that looks right to me.
