this is the total number of people who have checked the green box and are showing the forum on the index. Going forward this will evolve completely and people's whole experience of BuzzJack (both forum and front page) will revolve around a select base of forums and the groups they subscribe to.

that will come when i get around to upgrading the gallery :).

no but enhancements will be made to the member system to show more info. Im just seeing what people think and also what they suggest.

refresh the board index and you will notice the folder for No Replies changes to a grey colour. I will update the board header to show the correct number of AF's!

Over the last few weeks I have re-written our group and gallery systems. The group/AF system now is more compact, showing a sub-forum per selected forum. In addition when selecting an AF you now have the ability to view and add to the groups gallery! A new section has been added to our gallery system to allow the viewing of these group sections. As well as many query/ resource improvements the aim was to make the long list of AF's more manageable while at the same time adding functionality. If there are any problems or suggested improvements please let me know :D.

OK very good news. I have been speaking with the person managing the server and he has made some updates.

updates on this please, how are we looking? If problems continue I will even go so far as to review hosting with this company!

OK guys our tech has now done some tweaks to the server. Let me know if the issues persist and I will have them look at it again.

On the latter you have access to the staff area where I already have replied to this. For everyone's view this is what I said: i get sent pm's from time to time about this. I can assure everyone that a Reviews area is in the future plans with BuzzJack. Right now however we need to make sure that we have enough content in all areas before draining that content by transferring many things to a reviews section. It is much better to have AF reviews in the AF forum for now and then in the future have them on the AF portal and with a 'Last Reviews' accessable from the AF forum. All about maturing the site and generating content properly. If we dont and set up forums to spam content whats the use? How useful is it for a Robbie fan to have an AF for Robbie and also an extra reviews forum with their Robbie reviews lost in loads of others? Much better to link them together somehow - that will come but we are moving to a critical stage of the site where a lot has been planned and needs mapping out and implementing. The above explains everything.

technical developer is not required right now. AF Leader is a position we might use in the future, I will remove it for now.

i am pretty happy with the stats. More people posting and not heard any more of server slow down and issues.

low numbers but more people are posting each week. So the top posters are just posting less (job, busy, uni) unsure but we are growing in reach. Just need to increase discussion and interest again for the top posters. That will come over Christmas im sure :D

increased the childprocesses. Keel Alive was already on - I remember issues with this with an old host that took many months to resolve ;) Rebooted the server and we will have to see where we are at. The biggest problem I am now finding is it never happens to me. At the beginning, agreed, i was getting it but now I dont at all. Very hard to debug something I cant see, also viewed error logs and nothing there...

Slick it will be in someone's signature so its just a case of checking everyone's signature on the topic page. And for everyone else providing a topic link here so we can track them down !

as an extension on the above, any more feedback on the site uptime/ performance right now? Would be good to have any input so I know if we are on track or not.

yep - was going to get to this sooner. The issue is that for people on regular (although slightly smaller) screen resolution's if I dont cap the characters after a certain amount this will stretch there whole screen. Will review in a while and see what is the right thing to do here.

on the main board index near each sub-forum link there is now a folder icon. This will indicate if there are unread topics in the sub-forum. In addition each category is now divided up into seperate blocks which can be closed/ opened by clicking the cross on the right of the category.

yeah at first it was confusing but once you have seen both it is easier to differentiate. Hopefully will help sub-forum popularity with the new post indicator.
