this is fine for now - the news system etc is very good. We will add the usual news every Sunday for now. This will be built on but one step at a time :)

the skin for me is important - and I would have had to do a fair bit of work on the old one to get where I wanted it so I have added this one back. The forum height is much less so now it visually fits together better and doesnt drag on as much. There are many other things added to the site such as the interactive profile which I still want to keep :)

interactive profile will be back - didnt remember everything. No everything wont be going but I want to build from this skin. We had our busiest time every on this skin (both on here and CC) and I am confident we will break that record again with this skin. Teresa - I am definately looking for an updated banner. I really liked the one you did and the 'We Entertain You' section

this will be the standard skin now. I will now be updating features on this skin. In addition will look to have an updated banner as a priority.

New skin for some - updated one for others. I have decided to work off this skin set going forward! Please let me know or post here if any attributes which you are used to have been missed off! many thanks.
  12. the review section will come but will be driven from what we have already. I dont want something seperate from our existing forums as that spreads out content too thinly. Please be patient.
  13. Please read my about first post: "For main forum mod's, how often will we need moderator's for these? If we need a mod we can add topics or approach people on a case by case basis." There are many fewer Main forums with much fewer people stepping down so when it comes to applications we will have less! Hope that makes sense. Exactly :). There is no point reviewing a constant stream of applications with many for forums who do not need a mod or from people who never visit the forum.
  14. On main mods, my point is that we will not need a constant flow of main moderators. There will be times when we do need a mod and we can post advertising the place or even PM suitable people. Makes no sence keeping a 24/7 topic for something as infrequent as that. You dont become a mod by applying you become a mod due to your actions on the site before applying. Those actions get you noticed and as such you will in the most cases be asked to moderate without making a topic about it. Bence every decision and choice doesnt need buy-in from everyone; however this was discussed. You will see over time we will develop and grow based a lot on the community but also on right decisions made at the right time. I want admins and GM's to have less work to do, if we need a mod we will post for one and if someone sees an area in decline then PM someone - what we do not want it an open ended topic for anyone and everyone to apply.
  15. I closed the thread. The reason is as follows: For AF's I would like to build towards two mods per forum and if someone leaves then it is up to the other mod to promote someone. This is much more community centric and should have very little to do with Global Moderators or Admins. For main forum mod's, how often will we need moderator's for these? If we need a mod we can add topics or approach people on a case by case basis. This is a much better use of people's time and effort. If we keep a topic open people will apply for everything and anything (ive seen it 1000 times) and it will be the Global Mods and Admin's who will be taking up there time sorting out something that in one case should be community generated and on the other very infrequent.

Josh as a Leader you should know the situation as it has been discussed. For others we want content driven from forums and then stored in a central 'Reviews' repository. Not a good path to take to have a forum seperate from the rest driving content out of our forums (both AF and Main).
