I don’t think the challenges help, because even the challenges for this bracket compared to the others feel like leftover ideas? Like the design one was kind of half assed design and half assed comedy when they could have done a paired improv or a Ball, the judging didn’t really care that much about the design when compared to the one we had in Bracket 2.

Early guess for bracket 3 is Jasmine Kennedie, Kennedy Davenport, Shuga Cain, Sam Star, Dusty Ray Bottoms and Hershii

Small bits of tea: AS10: Aja/Lydia have “Lexi high” Snatch Game performances Jorgeous is pretty invisible for the merge Aja has a huge fight with MIB Aja/MIB/Ginger are the main characters for the merge Lydia destroys MIB in their lipsync which is to Guess by Charli XCX Either Aja or Bosco do Cher for Snatch Game, and Cynthia does Dracula The Snatch Game is like Season 17’s, possibly only Ginger and Jorgeous actually do well AS11: Akeria possibly has two wins, not Morgan Dawn’s lipsyncs were bad (the sky is blue) Bracket 3 could be Hershii, Jasmine Kennedie, Kennedy, Sam Star, Dusty and Shuga. Jasmine will eat but I could so see a Sam 3 win sweep

This is great, in the best way it feels like a lost Scandipop gem from like 2011, like a member of Play absolutely slayed and it went unnoticed. You can tell she really appreciates good pop and takes the time to craft a sound and an idea and it shines through on a song like this

This is very much the this will do bracket Like they didn’t have any stories etc for these queens so they just shoved them here knowing Ginger would do well. Daya is the only other one of these I think could have stood the slightest chance in any of the others. Cucu lowkey could have been top 2 this week, Alyssa is giving nothing, Acid Betty has done solidly but nothing amazing and there is just 0 charisma or spark to Denali imo. The fact the only pre existing “drama” is Alyssa calling Daya a bitch like 4 years ago and now they’re sisters anyway is mad. I do somewhat agree on Ginger to a lesser extent, as I said I think both her and Denali feel like they are very meticulously engineered a certain way, I just much prefer the trope of Ginger to the trope of Denali, I have really grown tired of the Denali genre of fan fave (see Anetra). I think she does great drag, it’s not something that is the most compelling or original or unique, but I always enjoy it well enough. Following the drama of bracket 2, Mistress’ scheming and reality TV mastery, the charismatic glow up of Lydia, the charm of Jorgeous, the shock mini sweep of Irene, and the sheer dynamic c**t of Bosco, it’s a shame the best bracket 3 has to offer for me is “I always somewhat enjoy Ginger” This is a problem with the bracket format, you run the risk of ending up with a bracket like this with no storyline, no drama, just kind of “leftover” queens so it’s not at all a compelling or dynamic group of episodes, it’s just “oh Ginger is doing well”. I think both Ginger and Jorgeous were backups iirc (and Lydia, we specifically know it went Maddy, mirage then Lydia), it would be interesting to see who would have been on instead. The rumours and casting tea was crazy because of the bracket system so it was hard to know who was on and which bracket until filming was done.

Not sure, for now we just know that two progress “normally”, I’m just theorising there must be more because it seems such a waste in a way? I suppose they could just want a smaller/smoother merge and go down to a normal top 4 finale (top 6, two merge episodes with eliminations), but idk it just seems such a shame on these queens to just bin them off after 3 episodes and not have a chance to return or anything.

Denali had no business being top 2 and the fans are overrating her to an Anetra level To me they feel like they are the same genre of overrated purely because they are attractive out of drag and do the “right” kind of lipsyncs and performances that people raised on Drag Race want. And that’s just not exciting to me in the slightest especially when the fans bend over backwards to act like Denali should have won every challenge, every lipsync and the season just for existing. Ginger is similarly exactly what Rupaul wants from Drag Race queens, and that’s just not HUGELY exciting to me per se either but I will always enjoy seeing Ginger just do great drag. Daya I think is the only one who can challenge her and even then it’s not particularly close. I’m really getting tired of the Ginger hate, I think it is kind of silly that they cast her in a group this weak but do we not want people who are good at Drag Race on All Stars? Because the casuals whinge it’s “some stars” when they don’t cast finalists. Granted other queens aren’t on a 4th run, but whatever lmao I’d rather see Ginger on her 4th run than Alyssa Hunter giving less than nothing on her 2nd. This bracket is just not that compelling or exciting to me especially compared the other 2 but that’s not the fault of Ginger.

I’ve seen Crystal and Silky/Aura/April so hopefully that means it was a bit closer to call with a mix of wins

Dawn apparently did an Irene and won all 3 challenges, which were design, girl group and acting, but won only one lipsync against Morgan, Morgan wins 2 challenges but it is A’Keria (she gets the other win) who makes the merge

I can’t see past it but I hope not, Zoe and Kat’s history alone is enough of a story to go on imo and Joel/Vicki/Ross I think have enough going on with that saga, neither party needs it. I just can’t see it not being the case, they could have had his mum be dead or in prison or whatever, but for the first mention of his mum being that she walked out, in scenes juxtaposed with Zoe’s return, it just seems like an on the nose tease of what’s to come. For me the way that hearing Kat talk about Tommy pushed her to run away makes me think it hit a nerve with her leaving Joel as well.

First whispers are that Crystal Methyd makes the merge alongside either April or Aura Crystal Methyd about to Ginger this season if the merge so far is anything to go by lol

Vicki offering £2k to the girl on the Tube as well when they had only just had to borrow money 💀 The “something terrible” Zoe did was definitely walk out on Joel I’m stuck between it being far fetched and obviously what’s going to happen, but the fact they kept juxtaposing the Zoe scenes with stuff to do with Joel is so on the nose it can’t not be the case surely? Especially given that she was overhearing Kat talk about Tommy.

They were filmed in the order they’re aired but I agree with Pavi they really could have shifted it around I think. I don’t feel like this bracket will go down very well and I wonder if that will just make people turn against the season. I suppose it’s only a couple of episodes, but the discourse around Ginger and it being “rigged” is suffocating and it’s only been a few days. But then again the fans are never happy and are just dramatic about whatever thing has happened that week. “Rigged” is such a wild thing to say like… the judges choose? That’s the whole format and always has been

I do think so, especially with them making a point if Joel saying his mum wasn’t from Australia and she’s a “slapper”, juxtaposing it all with that when otherwise everything was about the Slaters . If so, I assume she had him say 2010 or 2011, and left when he was very young. Around the time they did that secret twin Redwater rubbish with Kat, Zoe rejected her and was said to be in Spain. That was 2015 or so I think. So she could have left and started afresh between them and Joel would have been too young to even really remember her, maybe Ross just kept no pictures or few pictures, and didn’t talk about her, so Vicki wouldn’t know it’s her? Vicki andJoel’s relationship feels quite new and quite surface level in a weird way (perhaps just because we haven’t seen enough), so it wouldn’t be out of this world for him to have hidden the whole story. Idk it’s very contrived but it’s the kind of thing EE loves to do. Look at Cindy and George plus Kathy coming back from the dead having happened to meet Sharon’s biological dad in South Africa It just seems all very conveniently timed, especially with Zoe and Vicki’s history.

The way I’m at work tonight so I’m taking my break to watch the episode Part of me thinks we’ll all be left with egg on our face but something has to be happening for them to hold the 6am release plus everything they’re teasing on social media. Zoe will be Joel’s mum, which I think is convoluted as f*** but I suppose if he was born say 2010-2011, by that point Vicki and Zoe would have easily lost contact (they were ofc in the same circles in the 00s so knew each other) and perhaps Zoe left when Joel was young and Ross doesn’t mention her so there’d no pictures etc and Vicki wouldn’t know it’s Zoe.

I will never fall for Ginger hate propaganda, but this bracket does feel a bit more muted and definitely a step down from bracket 2. I think that’s the fault of the casting tbh, like… why on earth are you putting Alyssa Hunter and Cucu in the same competition as Ginger Minj I know they can’t put all the big guns in the same bracket but this is just completely imbalanced, i love Daya and Acid is great but they’re not on the same level imo. I’m not a stan or anything but Ginger is one of the best ever to be on Drag Race, she can do pretty much everything and it is a bit of an imbalance here.

Bosco does do well at Snatch and wins talent show! Irene I think it’s just not her challenges tbh, Snatch I could see either way but I wouldn’t be surprised to see her do an overwrought Suzie Toot type Snatch Game performance.

I don’t think there is a 14 Albert Square. I’m assuming this is for one of the big returns since they did do this with Cindy.
