Our only hope is some people think her and Kita might have been mixed up in tea, as earlier in the season it was said that Anita was top 4 and Kita was out in the 4th episode (or even first). Either way we lose one of the two most likeable queens this week which is going to be a big hit to the season for me.
I'd be gobsmacked if they didn't have a Elektra vs either one storyline with Elektra lipsync assassin'ing one of them out of the competition, as it's a design challenge I could see it!

It was probably difficult for them to get people over every time for an episode, I guess they could have had a video link for the actual judging part. Maybe it is budget rather than anything else though, I can't say I really mind the lack of guest judges so much even though there's a lot of great names they could have had in terms of Aussie guests.
For me the problem is the judging itself, not even so much the outcomes (other than this week's bottom 2) but as we've mentioned, the way they're approaching critiques really and the expectations that they set. It's especially clear with Elektra, I mean this week's runway was kinda ugly that's fair, but last week for example whilst it was basic was fine. There's a difference between basic and ugly, of course you can't have horrific runways every week but it's not like she has looked terrible every time. Drag is so much more about the performance and the range of skills they can do, I mean anyone can buy an outfit and wear it, but not just anyone can kill a lipsync, do a good Snatch Game, perform a verse in a song, host a club night or do a comedy routine.
What's mad is Elektra dominated House Of Drag and here she just can seem to do no right. To me it seems like Ru has narrowed down Down Under drag to this OTT camp side which is signature of Aussie/Kiwi drag but it's not ALL there is.

Ooo see I got a lot of cringe from Elektra I think it’s a huge detriment just letting your team by your backup dancers.
In my eyes they've all been underestimating her this whole time and this is her thing and her time to shine.
I get that she could have choreographed them better, and made the whole group gel more, but like I said I think Maxi and Karen's verses and lack of energy is on them not Elektra. Kita still managed to stand out and own it so I don't know why they couldn't. Like I said her not being a great leader is why I wouldn't give her the win or possibly not even put her high but bottom 2 for it was ridiculous imo.

What on EARTH was that judging?! Leaving aside Scarlet's past to look at what she did today only, I guess I get her winning since she had the stronger team as a unit and she was the one who held them together, which would have made more sense had they judged in teams and singled out her team. But they didn't, if you look at individual performance, which they did, then Anita had the best verse but honestly... Elektra ATE?! I really am baffled as to how "you outshone" is a criticism now. If we're gonna judge individually, I'd have given Kita or Anita the win for their verses and even though Anita did mess up a little, she just worked it in and covered it up with her personality so that you didn't care about that. I think if you look at individual performances, Scarlet was very much a solid safe placing girl group challenge performance.
Maxi and Karen were the clear bottom 2 here, Karen gave absolutely NOTHING and her verse was just so boring, for somebody with so much camp personality about her, there was none of that in there. And even if you look at Elektra as the team captain who should have held everything together, that's fine, that's why I wouldn't necessarily give her the win, but there is absolutely no chance she should have been bottom over Maxi and Karen. Their verses and performances even if you do look at it that way were not her fault. I think everyone bar those two did pretty well so it was an easy bottom 2, idk who'd I'd have put low. I'd have just put those two in the bottom bottom, Anita or Kita win with the other and Scarlet/Elektra high, everyone else safe.
The New Zealand girls are all my faves tbh, I love Etc too but she's not really being given much airtime. Karen I want to like a lot more than I do, it feels like her name precedes her and I know it's only episode 3 but it feels like she's being protected with her track record inflated a bit, like being saved from the bottom this week and them just calling bullshit low placements last week when really it was only Karen who deserved to be down there.

To me Embers screams accidental last, it's not the worst song by a LOOOOONG shot but it's not remarkable, it's a very UK sound which idk will translate that well to Europe. It'll be one of those people like enough while it's on, I expect a lot of people will think it's good, but I can't see many people liking it enough to vote for it which ofc is what's important.

Brilliant documentary, really sensitively done - for example I agree about the fact she recognised her privilege being lighter skinned. But she still made it pertinent to her and raised all the issues that needed to be raised, I love that she included darker skinned people, other light-skinned people, got so many different perspectives and raised the issues that needed to be raised on all accounts, I loved the bit with Keisha and Alexandra in particular and getting their accounts compared to and added to Leigh's.
I love that she is standing up to the label too and that she pushed to get some answers, I know that not everyone would do that. Leigh is brilliant

Ooh yeah Bulgaria too, getting winner vibes now we've seen her rehearsal.
I'm happy with any of the wide open contenders bar Iceland, I'd be so put out if we had such a wide open year and one of my least favourite songs won, I just don't get it or him at all, I think I like this less than Think About Things in fact.
Maybe I'm just getting ahead of myself because it's my favourite song and I *love* her, but I really see Cyprus killing the televote too. I'm praying she can upset a few of the favourites and pull a top 5.I think so too, I kinda thought she could be anything from that one modern pop song that comes like 19th up to a solid top 10 but the rehearsal has convinced me on the latter!

Yara's elimination is meant to be the Rusical (which Jan supposedly wins) and I did see tea earlier that Ra'Jah was in the bottom for that, so her elim would make sense, perhaps she just wins the talent show and then kinda India Ferrahs it?
I'm loving the tea being all over the place tbh  We seem to have some consensus on the order now at least and tbh I'm ok with most of it, I'm team Sonique honestly but I'm so here for a Ra'Jah redemption and it feels so right for Ginger to slay. Trinity making top 4 would have been nice, I do like Eureka but it seems like her run isn't as good as it could have been.
One thing i'm hoping is that I take to Jan more this time round.

Drag Race Down Under // Heavy Spoilers
in RuPaul's Drag Race
Elektra is heavily thought to win episode 5 which is an acting challenge, which would make sense as she's done really well in mini challenges to do with acting so far. That could kind of buoy her over the next couple of weeks with a better trajectory until she goes? I just can't see how she'd do well in a design challenge. I know this would be a third bottom placement in only 5 episodes though and against someone who is probably the front runner at this point in Anita would jus be bizarre, I'm leaning more towards it being Kita to be honest. For the storyline of judge/contestant I think it would be a gag for Elektra to send either home although I don't want to lose any of them :( Perhaps Elektra if she is bottom again just eviscerates the other one in the bottom so they have to keep her, but who knows with how they're judging this series
Anita vs Kita would be interesting too, I know Anita is sometimes kind of seen as the "other" one in Kita's shadow which I know she has mentioned so for her to send Kita home at this stage and be a front-runner would be a great storyline for her. They seem to love a storyline bottom 2 this season so I'd be surprised if it wasn't one of these two scenarios. I think the Anita/Kita potential mix up could possibly be that they were both in the bottom as well actually, which I could see for a design challenge out of who's left. Perhaps Elektra makes like a basic but ok outfit and Anita/Kita bomb.
