If any of this was to have a pay off, it’s be a Kate Mitchell return.
I feel like Thompson might have been her close colleague or perhaps even ex-husband, maybe he just doesn't like knowing a criminal like Phil always evades him but it just seems like such a random obsessive vendetta when there's gonna be loads of known criminals still going round, it feels like more than that and I wonder if it actually is and we will see more of it?

Also does anyone else feel like Couples Choice should just be it’s own week.
The Couples Choice routines almost always go down well and get praised and send that person through to the next week without a dance off. In future I’d much rather they have it as it’s own week where everyone who’s still competing that week does their routine on the sam show in the way we get Blackpool week and Halloween etc.
I'm torn on this, I kind of agree as it is frustrating when it is much easier to get off a couples' choice and achieve higher marks but I think it's done pretty fairly in that its up to the pro when to pull it out, it's kind of a trump card to have a big moment with. Do it too early and you may have peaked too early, but if you leave it and you leave on a bad Samba, you missed the chance to have that big moment and potentially get some momentum.

Clara!!! Yas queen. Poor Maisie though, she must be polling last and just can't recover it even when her dance is better. She's not even cocky or unlikeable... It's always a young woman, she's the most consistent and probably best dancer of the lot and I just don't see at all where it's coming from. Does being eager and young make you cocky now??

I did really enjoy Jamie's dance and he is such a joy to watch, however when you look at how good Ranvir's AT was, especially for this stage of the competition, and you see her getting less than him....Just a joke, the scores are practically arbitrary at this point. I enjoy that it's close and unpredictable, but that's a few times this series now where the marks have just been silly on a few accounts now.
Clara wasn't great but she was definitely undermarked, they seem to be SO harsh on her compared to others. Caroline was RIDICULOUSLY overmarked, at parts she was practically walking, I love her and I'm glad she's enjoying herself but no. I know it's a Saturday night entertainment show and we need dances like Caroline's and Jamie's, not just a sea of traditional Waltzes or anything, but in terms of scoring, it's just laughable to see Caroline supposedly on the same level as Ranvir's AT in Craig's eyes and Jamie as a 10 in Shirley and Anton's eyes. I'm not saying street dance is lesser than anything more traditional on the show, but it's definitely an easier style to come across well on the show, it's always a fun, energetic routine that shows character and personality which ofc is perfect for someone like Jamie.
Caroline and JJ bottom 2 hopefully, I wouldn't be shocked if Clara avoided it as everyone seems united in thinking she's been treated unfairly. I think it could be Caroline/JJ actually, but then I'd not be surprised at any of them bar Jamie and Ranvir being in the bottom to be honest, it could even be Bill as he's in that dangerous scoreboard middle ground.

I don't think it would HAVE to be an autistic actor necessarily, but if you think of the limited pool of roles that portray an autistic individual, if you lock autistic performers away from playing those and they also don't have the same opportunities in normal roles, that's when it becomes an issue. I don't think there is really a need to tear Sia apart for a film that people haven't seen yet, but the issue is an issue that needs to be raised and is sensitive, and her response to it and how defensive she's been is disgusting.
I know she said about the schedule and environment being potentially tough for an autistic individual, but she could easily have switched things around, made adjustments and made it easier for an autistic actor if she did hire them.

65 Bebe Zahara Benet 7.25
Another winner falls, this time it's Season 1's Bebe, who also holds the distinction of being the only winner thus far to compete in All Stars, doing so in Season 3. She won two challenges both times (Queens Of All Media, the Absolut Drag Ball, the Pop Art Ball and Handmaids To Kitty Girls), only placing in the bottom once during both stints. My thoughts on Bebe were well documented during AS3, being a winner it really felt like the judges gave her FAR too much of a pass for some of the awful looks she served, and she was overly praised for both her challenge wins I feel.
64 Ongina 7.28
Another Season 1 alumni to make the jump to All Stars, Ongina is fresh off a slightly disastrous run on AS5, where she scraped through episode 1 and bombed episode 2 to be eliminated by that week's winner Shea, after basically giving up and saying she deserved to be eliminated. On her original run, Ongina was the OG shock elimination, having won two out of 4 challenges (MAC Viva Glam and girl group) prior to that week as well as placing high in the other two, but she fell foul of the female fighter makeover challenge and lost to eventual winner Bebe in that week's lipsync. It's weird how long I wanted Ongina on All Stars just for the flop of AS5 to happen, but Season 1 is so long ago when the show was a different creature entirely I suppose.
63 Sharon Needles 7.35
Yet another winner gone, this time Season 4's champion and arguably one of the most talented winners has taken a fair dive from her usual lofty heights in this rate. This is due to the emerging allegations by a fan who detailed how Sharon abused her physically and emotionally while she was a teenager, it was a really tough read seeing her open up about that.
62 Jackie Cox 7.53
The trade of season 12, Jackie holds the record for placing high the most times without winning a challenge (six times in total). She excelled in comedy challenges due to her campy personality and natural charm, notably smashing Snatch Game as Lisa Rinna (which she easily could/arguably should have won) and the one-woman show with material based on her parents.
61 Miz Cracker 7.57
A runner-up of AS5 not finishing much better than the second eliminee oops. Miz Cracker was controversial throughout AS5 after being a "robbed" fan fave in season 10, where she got only one challenge win despite coming close multiple times, and was eliminated by Kameron controversially. She was seen as a bit of a villain near the start, stirring up trouble and making comments, whilst others saw her behaviour as a product of her anxiety. Either way, she was a front-runner throughout, from her standout She's A Woman (On Top Of The World) talent show performance to her winning turns in the stand-up, SheMZ and Backyard Ball challenges, via a bit of a bomb in Snatch Game as Lady Gaga  Unpopular opinion though, I kinda wanted her to win the whole thing over Shea…
(I'm sorry but SIXTY FIRST??? Girls......)

70 Morgan McMichaels 7.00
Season 2 and AS3 alumni Morgan McMichaels seems a bit of an odd pick for top half, but she did return as a lipsync "assassin" in AS5, where she lowkey murdered Miz Cracker but a draw was declared. I've never been the hugest fan of Morgan, and nothing on AS3 really changed my mind, but clearly she has her fans!
69 Plastique Tiara 7.07
Season 11's Plastique is undeniably stunning, turning looks in and out of drag, and was one of the fan faves, doing well in various fashion based challenges (including the Ball), as well as winning the Farm to Runway design challenge. She was somewhat of a shock elimination going early, and has been rumoured for All Stars a couple of times already, but this has yet to materialise. I find Plastique a very basic queen, one of those "straight girls' faves" just because she's pretty oops
68 Widow Von'Du 7.10
Smashing it right out of the gate, Widow has a respectable debut here after Season 12. She started very well on Season 12, killing the rap performance challenge with her verse I'm That Bitch and honestly kind of murdering Gigi in the first ever legacy lipsync on a regular season, but struggled to stand out in any other challenges, eventually lipsyncing after disappointing performances in the branding and political challenges, although really it should have been Sherry and Gigi lipsyncing in those respectively. Widow is one hell of a performer, something we didn't get to see enough of from her in S12 I feel.
67 Shuga Cain 7.14 (no 9s)
Shuga had a decent run on Season 11, doing well in a few challenges including an underrated Snatch Game as Charo, which honestly she kinda should have won, but equally there were some stinkers from her on the runway (which saw her bottom 2 in the Ball). Through thick or thin though, she was a lovely presence on Season 11, and I imagine could have got Miss Congeniality had Nina West been the most obvious and fitting Miss C possibly ever. Her elimination was some absolutes bullshit too, I doubt she'd have lasted more than an extra week but still.
66 Sonique 7.14 (two 9s)
A bit of surprise here, Sonique was an early out in Season 2 and left little imprint, but is remembered for being the first contestant to come out as a transgender woman on Season 2's reunion. She has had a GIGANTIC glow-up since, of course when you think about it, 10 years is a lot of time to grow and grow she has.

75 Dida Ritz 6.89
BONJOUR LADIES!!!! Dida became a bit of a meme queen following S4, and was FAR from the most polished aesthetic wise to say the least, somehow making 6th anyway (along with Ilona from Drag Race Canada, this is the highest placement for any queen who never placed high or won a challenge). But we will hear no shade for our lipsync queen, as Dida is perhaps most known (as she should be) for potentially the best single lipsync performance ever, her absolute MURDER of The Princess in a perfect performance of Natalie Cole's (This Will Be) An Everlasting Love, every beat was on point and exactly what a lipsync should be.
74 Jessica Wild 6.96 (one 10, less 9s)
These ties are getting tedious to break  Jessica did well on Season 2 despite an English barrier, winning the rock performance challenge and doing well with the burlesque, Country Queens and bridal challenges, although the English barrier was her undoing in the autobiography branding challenge. I just have to say how I lowkey find her RuPaul in Snatch Game absolutely embarrassing and one of the worst ever, but I guess it was the first Snatch Game without a blueprint of what to do or what's successful.
73 Mrs. Kasha Davis 6.96 (one 10, three 9s)
Season 7 seems to have a lot of queens considered "robbed", or not seen enough, and Kasha is definitely one of those. Her campy character always made her shine, but she only made it to episode 5 of Season 7, where she was sent home by Kandy Ho. I mean the fact she was outlasted by Kandy Ho says it all about how we needed to see more!
72 Blair St. Clair 6.96 (two 10s, no 9s, two 8s)
Despite finishing higher than in S10 (nearly making the final, nearly meaning in placement, there was a gulf between her and the final 3 lbr), Blair's AS5 run wasn't too dissimilar to her first! Both had high point near the start, and plateaud towards the end, without a win. Honestly I feel like Blair kind of had a glow DOWN from S10 to AS5 though, everything was better in a way but worse in another, with a weird new "confident bitch" personality that felt put on. Idk, I feel like the old Blair with a bit of a glow-up but that same heart and charm would have gone over better on AS5.
71 Gia Gunn 6.96 (two 10s, no 9s, three 8s)
Gia is sadly more known recently for being a covid hoax loon, she did apologise for saying it was a hoax but who knows. Anyway, on the show, Gia is known for bringing us shade in SPADES, during both of her runs, perhaps even moreso on AS4. She also competed on Chilean spin-off The Switch, where she was the runner-up having won TEN (!!) challenges (their format is different and longer, going on for about 83 weeks) I understand, it seems odd she did THAT well on something else  Despite not being my favourite, Gia was entertaining and essential in both runs, especially as a trans woman on All Stars, that was an important thing to happen even if Ru only did it to try and hush the drama over her own awful comments on trans women on the show.

80 Ivy Winters 6.82 (no 10s, no 9s)
Ivy had a mixed run on Season 5, placing high in the opening episode as well as the dance challenge and episode 2's lipsync challenge, plus winning the charity single singing challenge, but she struggled more on comedy based challenges like the roast, Snatch Game and the branding challenge, where she was ultimately sent home by Alyssa Edwards in a lipsync. She was eventually voted Miss Congeniality by fans, due to her sweet and unassuming personality throughout the season, and to date is one of only 3 Miss Congeniality winners (along with Cynthia and Nina West) to not do All Stars yet! I believe recently Ivy has taken a hiatus from drag so we may not be seeing that change anytime soon.
79 Max 6.82 (no 10s, one 9)
Max holds the distinction of being the lowest placed queen (9th place) to win two challenges (Shakesqueer and the DESPY awards, the latter alongside Pearl), and could definitely be considered "robbed". The Sharon Needles Snatch Game that led to her elimination was SO bad though, objectively awful with barely any Sharon to it - that Disney villain cackle  She could have done very well that season if given a chance (people have bounced back from worse), but we shall never know. It is odd how she got a favourable-ish edit at first, and that was all undone in one episode, but it was a stinker of a performance to go out on.
78 Mariah Paris Balenciaga 6.82 (two 10s)
A recent addition to the ever-growing list of All Stars alumni, Mariah was a surprise pick for AS5, where she had a muted run, just like her original Season 3 run, but she lowkey should have won episode 1 of AS5 looking back and that's on that. In fact her elimination in the hotel challenge was also f***ery, she shone so much since S3 in her various WOW endeavours and it's a shame we didn't get to fully see that in AS5, aside from that she has never been a HUGE fave for me.
77 Kennedy Davenport 6.82 (three 10s)
The Roxxxy Andrews of AS3, Kennedy managed to make the final 2 with Trixie after THAT jury twist, despite finishing in the bottom four times, after narrowly missing the final in Season 7 after a great run with two wins (Snatch Game and Spoof! There It Is). She absolutely slayed the Bitchelor in AS3 but everything else pretty much was meh, although nothing was as bad as HORRIFIC Death Becomes Her chicken look from Season 7, never forget.
76 Shannel 6.85
Season 1 and All Stars 1 queen Shannel is memorable for nominating herself to go in Season 1 as the competition took its toll, and also for being Chad's partner for AS1, where they dominated the season. It would be great to see her back on her own terms rather than carried by Chad, since they seem to basically giving everyone from AS1 another go.

I've started to play Mario 64 and it seems pretty awful and just boring to me so far, probably because I don't have the nostalgia effect with it.
You definitely need the nostalgia, I never played it as a kid (never even on the DS remake) but I did when I got it on the Wii U's virtual console back in 2014 or so and I found it awful  Of course it was hugely influential and definitely set the stage for all the 3D platformers we love to this day but when you go back without the rose tinted glasses of nostalgia, it really isn't that good.

Are people actually enjoying this?!
It's SO dull for me, I don't get what people see in it! :( And I have tried! Different strokes for different folks I guess!
Agreed, I've tried and just can't get into it either. I'm not usually the biggest fan of the show anyway but I thought a different setting and a pretty good cast would help.
And people get so personally offended when you don't like it on twitter etc, I'm not stopping anyone else enjoying it, I'm just saying I'm not getting it or enjoying it that much.

Dave in his shorts was the highlight of yesterday tbf
I'm expecting Peter to win because they said it was a close one in the preview and in those cases I feel like they'd look at how Peter has been the strongest of the 3 across the series and give it to him, but that's based on nothing  For all we know, that could mean Peter bombed and Dave and Laura did really well and it's neck and neck where they can't decide I guess

85 Phi Phi O'Hara 6.65 (no 10s)
Although Phi Phi was hated in both her stints on S4 and AS2, I think the fanbase has warmed to her a bit. As unlikeable as she certainly was, she is an insanely talented queen (just look at her 365 days of Drag looks), and her villainy was part of what made both seasons great, an essential and entertaining character. When you look at her now, you can tell she's grown from Drag Race.
84 Joslyn Fox 6.65 (one 10, one 9.5, less 8s)
A queen from Season 6 who's often touted as particularly underrated, Joslyn was a sweet, lovable and funny character on Season 6, due to her warm nature and frequent malapropisms such as referring to herself as "Black horse of the competition" and pronouncing cumin as "cum-in" Even at her lowest, she was entertaining, it always sends me thinking of when she asked Cher's mum about almost aborting Cher in the talk show challenge!!
83 Baga Chipz 6.65 (one 10, one 9.5, less 8s)
Alongside Vivienne, Baga was a force to be reckoned with on Drag Race UK, winning 3 of the first 5 challenges, those being Downton Draggy, Snatch Game and the girl group challenge. Baga just has IT, a personality that shines through, however I think she relied on that a bit too much as she got away with absolute murder with some truly, undeniably HIDEOUS runways. She was cocky at times, but then towards the end seemed to have no confidence and give up a bit, plus I ahted how she was to her mum in the makeover. I wouldn't have minded her winning at first, but I think she fully deserved to fall short based on the last few episodes.
82 Kameron Michaels 6.71
The lipsync assassin of Season 10, Kameron sent home Miss Congeniality Monet and fan favourite Miz Cracker, as well as being Asia's opponent for the fateful Nasty lipsync (more on that later). She also won the Cher Rusical, and came in the top in The Last Ball On Earth and the Dragcon Panel challenges. Personally I was never really a fan and find it bizarre she's above the likes of Gigi, Baga, Phi Phi, hell and Eureka too!! A perfectly fine queen but that's it, she's just so boring to me overall.
81 Miss Fame 6.78
Arguably one of the most stunning queens in drag, Miss Fame served some insane looks across Season 7, even if she never quite broke out in her run. She seemed like she'd be a bitchy queen at first but ended up being sweet and likeable, I just think she wasn't quite for Drag Race even though she is a brilliant queen.
-
It's a shame because she did do terribly on that showstopper, but it really is incredibly frustrating that Laura has been awful for so many weeks and ALWAYS seems to scrape out somehow. I get that the show goes off of just that week and that's how it went, Hermine had a terrible week, but I think when it comes to the final, it just seems a joke that someone who's messed up as much as Laura is there.
-
People are also saying that the all winners season will be Ru's last and the winner will take over the show, idk how true that is though. Like idk if all of the queens would want to host, so it might influence who does the season. And I don't think every winner who could win this show would be a good host, like I don't think it's out of the question that Aquaria could win a season like this but I can't see her hosting Drag Race.
Bob would be AMAZING though or Trixie but there's chance Trixie could come even close (nor would she compete again anyway).

This week is a "homage to Blackpool" and these are the dances:
Bill & Oti: American Smooth to Under My Skin by Frank Sinatra
Caroline & Johannes: Cha Cha Cha to Rescue Me by Fontella Bass
Clara & Aljaz: Samba to That's The Way (I LIke It) by KC and the Sunshine Band
HRVY & Janette: Tango to Golden by Harry Stles
Jamie & Karen: Street to Gonna Make You Swear (Everybody Dance Now)
JJ & Amy: Quickstep to For Once In My Life by Stevie Wonder
Maisie & Gorka: Salsa to Better Than I'm Dancing
Ranvir & Giovanni: Argentine Tango to When Doves Cry by Prince
I'm worried for Ranvir this week, feels a bit early for an AT!
Game Of The Year
in Gaming and Internet
Firstly I'd say FF7 remake, just a perfect re-imagining of a game I already loved in a fresh and new way. I always prefer more action orientated games so a turn based game I loved going down that route just really hit the spot.
Solid mention to the remake of Spongebob: Battle For Bikini Bottom too, perfect nostalgia trip for a game I loved as a kid. Also Nexomon: Extinction, it borrowed more than a bit from Pokemon but it did some things better arguably, such as the story and the level scaling. It's kind of open world (although you do the story in a certain order, you can go all over the map when you want) and the story genuinely has some surprises to it.
I would say Horace as well, which is an indie platformer recently released for Switch (I believe it's been on PC since last year), all made by two people! It is incredibly ambitious, deep and rich for an indie game, it's not just any old platformer, there's so much variation with not just environments but minigames. And, without exaggeration, it has to be the best story I've ever seen in a platformer? It's so so engaging, heartwarming at times, heart-wrenching at others, a real emotional rolleroaster which I'd describe as like playing a Pixar game. HOWEVER, it is ridiculously hard which brings it down a bit for me  I wouldn't say it's unfair, as there are frequent checkpoints like in games such as Super Meat Boy (it's not quite that hard), pretty much each "room", but it can be frustrating at times in its hardness. It would be my game of the year no question if not for that, that's just a personal thing though.
