  1. I really am fed up of bloody Max Airstream  It's so broken on Pokemon like the legendary birds, Lati twins and Forces Of Nature, not to mention Cinderace still, it you can get one off. I'm seeing a lot of people trying to set up and sweep with them but if you thwart them, they'll disconnect :drama: I don't mind set-up, but if you're gonna disconnect and throw your toys out of the pram over not being able to get an easy sweep, don't bother.

I'm having fun using the Ultra Beasts online tbh, ofc Pheromosa in particular is broken but I like that it's kinda high risk, high reward using them, like Pheromosa is super broken but also it will die to one hit (even though I use Focus Sash, it only takes one priority move or sandstorm/hail to finish that) if a move misses. Triple Axel is a great answer to dragon types, especially when Dragonite is everywhere, but that 90 accuracy ALWAYS lets you down when it matters  Sheer Force Nidoking holding a Life Orb is also a godsend, I ALWAYS thwrat Landorus-T with Ice Beam *.* Atm on Ranked, I tend to go with Focus Sash Pheromosa, Choice Scarf Nihilego and Life Orb Nidoking.

  2. Bill and Oti: Paso Doble to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

Caroline and Johannes: Couples' Choice to Everything's Coming Up Roses

Clara and Aljaž: Tango to Lady Marmalade

HRVY and Janette: Cha Cha to Don't Go Breaking My Heart

Jamie and Karen: Charleston to Zero To Hero

Jason and Luba: Paso Doble to Star Wars Theme

JJ and Amy: Foxtrot to Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head

Maisie and Gorka: American Smooth to Into The Unknown

Max and Dianne: Couples' Choice to The Simpsons Theme

Nicola and Katya: Jive to Greased Lightnin'

Ranvir and Giovanni: Foxtrot to Love You I Do

Really looking forward to Caroline's Couples' Choice! That'll be Theatre/Jazz given the song, Max I assume Street/Commercial which should also be a fun one!

  3. The most upsetting and vile moment for me was Memphis towards Ian, there was a particular moment in the bedroom with Memphis, Nicole, Dani, Cody and Christmas where Memphis was being just totally vile, mocking Ian's autism (particularly his stimming, rocking back and forth) and saying he was really creepy, like something out of a horror film. That was probably the one moment if I had to single one out as the one that really really made me think "these people really are trash" and felt like a point of no return for the series. It wasn't just the way Memphis said what he said as we knew he was an awful person at that point, but the way that Nicole, his so-called friend, cackled along with him in desperate attempts to keep her popularity in the house and be "in" with the right crowd, and none of the others batted an eyelid or stood up for Ian either.

The treatment of Da'vonne and Bayleigh, particularly in the week Christmas nominated them both, also sums up the series well, but there wasn't a particular moment I could single out for that. That was just a whole week of drawn out misery as you knew one of them was going which was heartbreaking.

  4. Nicola and Katya were my faves this week tbh! Katya's choreo is just fab, she always brings out the best in her partners even if they aren't the best but Nicola seems like she be really really great and just continue to grow. I like that the couple isn't about them both being women or the "novelty" of a same-sex couple, they're just great either way and really fit together, I'm excited to see more of them.

Maisie was great also but I always find Tangos pretty boring.

  5. I love Ma'Ma :( I think she's got a raw deal a lot of the time, being placed low on episode 1 over a small thing, and most of all being criticised for Half Man, Half Queen just because the judges were ignorant to a non-binary interpretation of the challenge, and most of all being placed in the three-way lipsync over a pair of shoes. I do agree she could have done with more glamour in this week's looks, but I don't think every queens needs to be glamorous. You can get that from any old drag queen and I feel like Ma'Ma looks at things differently, in a way that doesn't always work granted and perhaps a way that isn't quite "Drag Race", but I appreciate her presence this season.

Agreed on the last point though, Abby is like a basic "first look" at what a drag queen is, in a way that most people probably already know without seeing drag  If you didn't have anything lese to compare you might think "wow look at her dancing on heels!!" but then surely a guest judge seeing what the likes of Envy, Sederginne and Chelsea could do would see that Abby is just the baseline!

  6. Janey definitely won the Rusical but I thought her first two runways were the weakest along with Abby's, Envy killed the runway as usual. I loooooved Janey's third, but the first two were forgettable and quite basic, they were too literal of an interpretation of the theme and felt like rough drafts before she settled on the third one as a final look? I don't think Envy's Rusical was as meh as they made out and she should have got that win tbh, she deserved it more than she did during Snatch Game, the voguing challenge and arguably the gym one too? It feels like they just went "aw Janey has only had one win, Envy's had enough". Actually that episode just felt pointless, the "ball" esque runway just felt rushed. If they HAD to do a double shantay, they should have done a competitive ball episode next week and THEN the finale. But with a god awful lipsync like that, it should have been a double sashay, and it probably would have been earlier in the season. Seriously what a total and utter dead performance, absolutely no passion, fight, flare or determination on either part. I'd have hated Ma'Ma not to get to the final, but it would have been what she and Abby both deserved after that.

The way they kept saying that they were all so great and it was hard to decide, I feel like they'd have done a double shantay whatever happened, they were building to it all episode. They should either have decided it with a proper Ball next week like I said, or just cut Abby on track record. It looks to be another performance based challenge so really they could have done the Ball this week actually and had a RuMix kind of thing for the finale like usual. Idk it just feels like they crammed two mainstay challenges into one episode so that neither shone and the episode felt pointless, I enjoyed this the least of any episode alongside the voguing and workout ones where there was little point even having a challenge.

  7. Interesting that Christmas was an alternate, Liam. Infact 2 out of the final 4 were alternates.. eek. I did not like Christmas her first season, but I kind of wrote her off when she broke her foot, but my friend was a huge supporter (initially), she really had to rely on her Social Game her first go around which was uncomfortable for her, she was definitely geared towards relying on her physical ability to get her by. I really started tuning out this season when she won HOH - but I'm assuming she was strong-armed into putting up Da/Bay, correct?

It was a horrible decision for her game, I think Day/Bay would have been loyal to her. There were so many others she could have cut.

Nope I'm pretty sure she was set on it all along, I think she may have maybe touted Dani as a possibility but never seriously considered her as a target. I expect she'd have put her up if Day or Bay came off but that's about it.

  8. The casting is interesting, to be honest I think it's to blame as much as the state of what the game has become for this season. Too many of them were happy to just go along with a majority, do things for the good of the alliance, and that's as much to blame for Cody controlling the whole game. People like Memphis and Enzo who would never make a big move and rock the boat, people like Kevin and to an extent David, who would just float and flimsily be on whichever side they thought was right at the time. The casting really is what makes or breaks a season and whilst I get they were up against it and couldn't get first options, this transpired to be a meh cast for what was so highly anticipated as a second AS season. It would have been interesting to see how Kaycee or Josh fit in, Kaycee and Tyler as a duo could maybe have ran the game like Cody did. Josh could have gone either way, but those two are strong competitors as winners and I'd have liked to have seen them both play. I'm not sure a lot would have changed, but if you had maybe Kaycee instead of Christmas, I think her or Tyler would have put up more of a fight for the win against Cody than Nicole, Enzo and the others did.

Christmas was an alternate I think and casting her was, and I'll go and say it, possibly the biggest mistake they made. I don't think it's one you could have called on paper, but she was just reprehensible and odious this season. I agree about her HOH reign, really left a bad taste in the mouth even moreso than all the disappointment, endless lost hope and predictable moves we had all season. It's not like it was a stunning game move of power, it was just "let's take out the two strong black women", they weren't even threats to her game (which was non-existent anyway other than "serve Cody").

Speaking on this season a bit more holistically, there were two main sources of disappointment I had. But I had this disappointment as a viewer of Big Brother, not necessarily in appreciation of gameplay or even how I would play the game. Let's be honest, if we were in Cody's shoes and had the ability to really control the game and win $500K I'm sure we would all do it.. but it doesn't mean that we can't all still be disappointed with the events that took us there.

Very good point, I don't hate Cody (he made some :/ insensitive comments, but I don't think he's a bad guy, certainly not in the grand scheme of things in a season with Christmas and Memphis, plus Nicole tbh), although I didn't respect him for the company he kept and the stuff he enabled by supporting them and carrying through the game, but I hate what the game has become. The fact that we had such a steamroll from a pre-gamed alliance just seems so anti Big Brother, it sucked all the excitement, joy and thrill from the format:( Of course, if the win was handed to you, you'd do it, and I can't blame him for it really, but it really is anti-climactic and so dull. As a viewer, when you know how people CAN play the game, it's shit watching stuff like this unfold and it's hard to be impressed by it or happy about it. You could have called Cody winning in like week 2, and in a season with winners returning and players like Janelle and Tyler back, there should have been way more twists and turns and power tussles.

To his credit, him cutting Nicole was about the only exciting surprise moment of the season other than Da'vonne's veto when she finally won her first comp, which was about the most we could hope for this season

  9. So happy for Da'Vonne! Something good can finally come out of this season, she was pretty much the only one actually trying to turn the tide and play her own game once Janelle and Kaysar went. And so timely with what's gone on this year, such a strong role model and I'm so glad we came through for her. I was spectical pre season about her playing again but she proved her worth for sure.

Cody winning, wbk, he was the most deserving. I feel like whoever won there'd be an asterix by their name forever, yes he did control the game and avoided the block the whole time, that deserves praise, but the fact he only did that due to pre-gaming is somehting that sullies it. Second winner after Dan to play a perfect game, no eviction votes against him and all the votes to win!

  10. The worst thing about this show rn, and there's a lot, is potentially Jamie's personality transplant :drama: I know he's Kim Tate's son, but I liked him a lot more when he didn't act like it. He runs over Moira and suddenly he's a wannabe Phil Mitchell cba
  11. Season 7 gets all the hate but Season 8 is SO much worse, I think it's more that it's just so forgettable. I never want to go to back to it, it doesn't have any of my top faves, and there's not many memorable moments or queens that stick with you even. It's truly just there as a season.
  12. I think they've addressed the gap well, better than other soaps. Having storylines like Kush's gambling, it makes you realise that they actually thought about what would have happened during lockdown, even though it wasn't on air, like obviously had the show been on, we probably would have gradually seen signs before it built to the point it's at now and they have acknowledged that Kush started playing poker online during lockdown with Martin.
  13. Yeah he had seizures, he had a bad one I think that just caused so much damage that he's only alive because of life support now, seizures can do that, I assume he's had so much brain damage or death of cells that he just can't keep himself alive now that there's no chance of recovery.

My issue is as said it's like you're watching the same episode again and again, the storyline is going nowhere with no progression, for either the storyline itself or the characters involved really. Leanne says the same things, nobody really challenges her, everyone else is just kind of there, the only thing really is Nick's son which was a "twist" you saw coming a mile off as soon as we knew that Natasha was coming back  It's just dragging it out for the sake of dragging it out, I wouldn't mind if it wasn't shown much in between the things actually happening, but it fills so much of an episode just going round in the same circles. A child dying isn't done very often in soap, it should be a career defining performance for Jane Danson and a heartbreaking story, but I find myself hating Leanne and wishing the story would be over asap.

  14. This week's dances:

Bill & Oti: Quickstep to Let's Talk To The Animals

Caroline & Johanes: Paso Doble to El Gato Montes

Clara & Aljax: Viennese Waltz to You Don't Own Me

HRVY & Janette: Viennese Waltz to Stuck With U

Jacqui & Anton: Samba to Help Yourself

Jamie & Karen: American Smooth to Night & Day

Jason & Luba: Salsa to Get Lucky

JJ & Amy: Paso Doble to Believer

Maisie & Gorka: Tango to Midnight Sky

Max & Dianne: Jive to I'm A Believer

Nicola & Katya: Couples' Choice (Commercial/Street) to Shine

Ranvir & Giovanni: Quickstep to You Are The Sunshine Of My Life

Think that seals Jacqui being first boot

  15. Yeah Tyler is gonna get it :( I'd be really downcast for Da'vonne if she didn't get top 3 AT LEAST, I can't see why not but something going right this season is far too much to ask

Like I said, I'd lowkey live if Nicole got Cody out last minute and seized her own game, but I just can't see it. Stranger things have happened than her beating Cody, but I don't think he's been cuthroat or savage enough to lose enough votes plus I can't see the jury giving Nicole a second win over Cody who ran the season. He might have ran the season but I still wouldn't say Cody is a good or particularly deserving winner, none of them deserve to win but ofc one of them has to so I'm just in the camp of why not have a two-time winner just to say it happened?

Enzo deserves it even less, he hasn't done a thing all season even when he did win comps. To give Cody and Nicole some credit, Cody ran the season and Nicole did have the Ian saga, she had him thinking she was on side at least, I feel like she played a bit more of a social game than Enzo, or attempted to do some bits at least. Enzo just kind of came along for the ride

  16. I already transferred Regice and Regirock so Repeat Balls worked well, otherwise I just kept healing and using Timer Balls but it is a pain catching legendaries with such a low catch rate. Same with Beldum but then I just got one off GTS instead
