Yeah I agree this season wasn't as good, but as said that was always going to be hard to live up to, it was still a gripping watch and I was engrossed enough to binge (kind of, over a week) rather than wait weekly.

 

Either way Jodie Comer never fails to amaze me, she has to be the best actress on TV currently, just astounding!!

Suppose you've gotta have a look at who the public likes the most when it comes to the winner. Dani already had a massive fanbase before she was on the show.

 

I think Amber + Michael might be a potential winner, also possibly Anton if he doesn't shack up with Elma. Plus I think whoever Tommy ends up coupled up with will have a good shot of winning.

 

Surely there is a re-coupling coming up on Monday/Tuesday, 2-3 new boys going in and a vote off fairly quickly of least-favourite couple.

Yeah I'm getting winner vibes from Amber and Michael too! Michael is really likeable and just seems like a decent guy, then Amber is a big character who's going to bring a lot to the show. She's feisty in a relatable way, she's that one friend we all have who's the best person to have on your side and would do anything for you but is the worst person to have against you :lol:

I liked last year but I love that there isn't a clear winner this time, it did seem like Amy and Curtis but Amy just hasn't been consistently likeable, she's being really odd about Lucie and coming across quite petty/desperate for drama, she hasn't shown herself very well of late! Jack and Dani from pretty much day 1 were the obvious winners and whilst it was a good season that got me into the show, with any reality show it becomes boring when you know damn well who's gonna win.

 

It's true though that it takes a while to get going, most reality shows do but I guess with a show like this you've got that honeymoon period where they're all excited and it's new, but then they soon get tested and that's when it gets juicy. Maura does come across awfully but you don't have to like the people to appreciate them being good TV on a show like this, look at Megan and Adam last time.

 

Also I keep going back and forth on Maura v Molly-Mae, as people I don't like either but like I said you have to appreciate the level of good TV Maura brings. It was really cringe though that she was proper throwing herself on Tommy, but Molly-Mae is just so irritating and over the top with this whole situation I just can't bring myself to like or root for her. Maura at least is shameless and just goes for what she wants!

India is random af, but I think if they are going to do so many seasons all the time, I like the thought of them giving some lesser known/remembered queens a chance, although the RuDemption season we keep wanting would be better than that. It doesn't make sense to call it "All Stars", the best of the best, but then have India Ferrah and Mariah :lol:

I feel like this is nicely in between 1989 and Reputation, really liking it! Not sure if I prefer it to Me, but the production is great and it's another good sign for the album.

Maura is so devious she knows EXACTLY what she's doing but I kind of stan because this is exactly what the show needs, they were getting on a bit too well :lol: I'm also loving Amber now, she's really growing on me! I love her and Michael's dynamic and how she'll go above nad beyond for the other girls but be sassy af to a man for the bare minimum.

 

 

Also if Molly-Mae says categorically once more someone needs to chuck her in the poll ffs

Not the biggest Emma fan at all but I'm very much here for the format change, I feel like the blockings weren't an event like they could have been and hopefully making them a bit more of an event with the Friday evictions like with Big Brother will be a good start!

That's actually a really strong cast, the good thing is a few of them could go either way! There's no obvious first out, as the ones who could be that (Mariah, Mayhem and potentially Ongina) could also easily do an Aja/Tatianna and really break through and do well. I'm SO thrilled Jujubee is back more than anything though :wub: Also excited for Nina, I agree I really just wrote her off ever doing All Stars so it's a nice surprise if she really is doing it! I'm here for her doing Blac Chyna for Snatch Game and bringing that whole saga back up.

Big news! It's felt like Emmerdale's 'golden era' has been winding down this past year or so and this sounds like it could affect things further.

Yeah definitely, I didn't really think about it until the Soap Awards but it was telling that they didn't win anything except Lucy's Best Actress from the viewers. It's certainly not terrible, but I feel like it's just consistently "good enough", probably the most consistent of any soap, but it very rarely has the highs. Like, if I miss an episode then I'm not that bothered but I don't begrudge watching it, it doesn't feel like a chore.

Yeah that's my only issue, I think it tends to be that when you have two huge artists you almost expect twice the slayage so you feel let down when/if the song is just "good enough".

I also think saying/doing something a while ago when Tommy/Anton were much younger is different to Sherif ostensibly being violent or inappropriate or whatever happened NOW. Obviously though there's no point comparing when we don't know what has happened in this case.

The annoying thing about them not showing it (it's been confirmed they aren't) is that it's gonna make me think that it's something really wild :lol: Like for them to not show it, something must have happened that was quite serious, either physical or sexual or something, or something abusive/homophobic/etc was said?

 

Whenever something happens to get someone kicked out on Big Brother that isn't shown, we usually found out later when people come out and someone lets it slip so maybe this will be the same but I really want to know ffs

I might sound very cynical but it feels like this is leading up to the obligatory enhanced second version having them all, so people will buy Sword and Shield now bc of the Switch hype, then also buy the next one to get all the Pokemon :lol: Some people are saying that it's no different to when Sun and Moon didn't have the option of getting certain Pokemon until Pokemon Bank was updated for it, and like fine you can never obtain every Pokemon in every game but to not even code them in and never have the option of bringing them over.....

 

I'm not THAT bothered from a personal standpoint as I always tend to use new Pokemon in playthroughs anyway but it's just such a weird decision, it's going to limit the metagame for example.
