I do think Rihanna was just a bad choice for Snatch Game, a lot of the big pop girlies I feel like just don’t have the right personality to carry a Snatch performance, see Beyoncé failing every time someone does her :lol: Whereas if you look at say Liza, she is a quirkier, bigger personality with so much more to pull from, plus obviously Ru loves her. I believe they have to have the character approved, not sure it’s the same now or for every franchise but I think they audition with it or at least have to have the characters they bring approved (Trixie for example wasn’t allowed to bring Anne Frank and Bianca couldn’t do Dora The Explorer as it’s an trademarked character, for UK I know Choriza wanted to do Marge Simpson and couldn’t). So I assume production wouldn’t let someone do a niche British character Ru wouldn’t know, but it could also be a vicious circle of the queens know what Ru wants to see so they do that instead. This was an excellent Snatch Game anyway so I’m not too bothered, I would like the queens who are good at impersonation or improv to do something uniquely British though! Like give me Deirdre Barlow, Kat Slater, Hilda Ogden!!

That musical was terrible and I loved every second :lol: Dragula is at its best when it’s camp and cringe. Grey and Yuri are the only two who really did that well other than Pi, I’d have had Grey winning tbh and the character was actually there fully and I really didn’t expect Grey to nail a performance challenge!

Nadine Coyle is my dream Snatch Game and we got…. That?! I appreciate that she was kind of clever in what Ru wanted, maybe it’s more a critique of what Snatch Game has become. Like what do you mean “do you know any Irish stars” �� that seems unpopular looking at the reaction online, it was funny enough but eh. La Voix and Kyran both gave exactly what I miss and what a great Snatch Game could do but I think it’s an increasingly niche skill for this generation of drag and there’s not many queens who can do that. Also I thought Lill was so f***ing hilarious as well, I’d have had her in the top and I absoltuely adored her runway.

This means Kyran has her speculated 3 wins, so the Rusical could possibly be won by Rileasa or Lill, early tea had them both variably at 2 wins so one or the other I assume gets a second win at the Rusical and the other only has one win. I would assume Rileasa is much more likely to win a Rusical :lol:

I agree, they could have Ru, and then some combo of Ana Locking, Chiara Francini, Supremme, Priscilla, Pangina, Grag Queen… there’s so many franchises that they could easily make up a strong international panel so that the queens are judged fairly with a more rounded view of drag, not what a bunch of Americans feel Drag Race is or should be. The challenges I think also didn’t help, why are they making ESL queens do Snatch Game followed by a roast?! Thailand season 2 was in Thai and had non Thai speaking queens and still felt fairer than GAS did at any point :lol: It should be more looks and performance based to limit the language barrier, I mean fine have Snatch Game that’s a hallmark of Drag Race, but don’t then have a roast and branding as well clumped in the same few episodes. Any queen who struggled a bit with English and isn’t hot on comedy was never going to make the final with this as the run of challenges. Or maybe if they do want to pay homage to the fact that celebrity impersonation has always been a huge part of drag, do a Rusical like the Super Bowl one from AS6, so the queens can do a performance and there isn’t that language barrier disadvantage stacking against the odds against them. There are so many easy things they could have done to even the playing field and make it feel like a celebration of the types of drag the world has to offer, instead of being a victory lap for a “legend” they always wanted to crown with some pity appearances from the lowly “other” queens :drama: Honestly I’d rather Kween won, at least she did well at the challenges. Alyssa was abysmal at girl groups, Snatch Game and design, average at the makeover and acting (and that’s been kind on the latter) and just about good on the roast. There was absoltuely no point when the second she was cast they knew they’d crown her no matter what. If she did bad enough to be in the bottom, just put her safe and dont even critique it or acknowledge the fact she was bad.

No I agree, this and 5 have both been amazing, I found 2 a bit overhyped by fans in the pantheon of general Drag Rcae it’s not up there with my fave seasons ever but this I feel is going to end up there. Every challenge has been strong, there hasn’t really been filler queens on the cast, the ones that are maybe weaker like Dita, Zahirah, Charra have all had moments or you can see why they’re there. There’s enough going on, some drama but it’s not ott and miserable, they’re all getting on but it’s not boring, I’m loving the dynamics between La Voix and Kyran for example.

So so hyped for this, Preacher’s Daughter was incredible.

Thank god that’s over. Alyssa is for my money the weakest winner the show has ever had, based on this run. But that didn’t matter a jot to production, they were going to crown her no matter what and I had that feeling since the second I saw the tea she was in the finale (and since she was cast really but early tea didn’t have her make the finale, I wish desperately that was the real outcome). Meh. I know we’re saying it and saying it but what was even the point of getting all these queens, the best of their franchises (and Kitty Scott-Claus) and then crowning someone who has always been frankly terrible at Drag Race just because she is from the original franchise and is a “legend”. She was a lovely encouraging presence on the season in one where fhe international girls got paid dust, but she was terrible at half or more of the challenges, and only won because of who she is. I truly believe it was contracted for her idc. It makes no sense narratively, she did the worst by far out of the top 4 and some episodes you could almost forget she’s there :lol:

I continue to be obsessed with Lill and Kyran, but whilst her drag isn’t my fave La Voix is an absolute sweetheart, such motherly vibes. Like you get the sense a couple of drinks with her would change the course of your life :lol: Loved that chat between her and Kyran, Kyran is an incredibly strong person to turn what happened to her into having such confidence and a sense of self that manifests in her being this totally unique and weird presence in her drag career. Marmalade always surprises me too, she can kind of do a bit if everything, even if for me she hasn’t had a standout big moment yet, she has always pulled it off whenever I feel like it isn’t her challenge.

This is actually amazing, insane but also makes perfect sense. I can definitely see it being huge!

There is no way Ali is making the final with vote to evict sadly. She’ll be nominated every week unless Lily wins HOH OR Ali wins herself again. I can’t see past Khaled winning tbh, it’s him or Lily I think. Lily I think as much as I see why people find her annoying or too much, one of the very few in there who is truly herself. I think she genuinely just is a ball of energy and annoying as f*** and I kind of love that she commits to that :lol: I agree, if they are going to do a shorter series they should just cut the filler and it could be fairly straightforward and let the characters speak for themselves. I assume like last year we are going to have some doubles and rushed backdoors
