    Ok so we're not at the point where a forum or subforum is going to happen just yet, but please do not feel like you will "clog" the forum for discussing things, neither me or cqm mind and the best way to argue for a forum or subforum is to walk the walk! For now while there isn't a lot else going on, it really is fine to start things, contribute and "clog" away.

     

    We're going to trial single episode threads from now so that it's easier to avoid spoilers etc. if you get behind and can't see an episode right away, you can still discuss the previous one or whatever in the thread provided and not have to worry about spoilers. We also have an existing spoiler thread for anything in the rest of the season that has not aired yet!

    This is going to sound kind of awful but it kind of feels like Mercedes was cast just to be the first Muslim queen and have a bit of clout for the Trump musical and the current political climate... Like I said that feels awful to say, but this is Ru we're talking about and it just seems like he'd do that in an Emmy push :lol: She was lovely but the talent just was not there.

    I've had a massive epiphany with this, might be my fave :wub: It builds so well, her vocals are really impressive too (I get the Jess Glynne comparisons but it's somehow in a good way). Idk it's just really hitting me and I can't get enough of it, what a magnificent song.

     

    I think this could do VERY well if it's done right live.

    Ra'Jah is probably worse than Silky for me, at least Silky has some sort of personality to back it up. Ra'Jah is just really obnoxious with pretty much nothing to back it up, which is a terrible combo. Silky definitely shouldn't have won though, I'm not sure I'd have even had her in the top (I'd have given her spot to Nina or Shuga). By nature that whole scene was about her so like... of course they were looking at her? I just think that Yvie and Brooke gave better performances, and had to fight more to stand out in a "busier" part of the Rusical.

     

    Yvie and Brooke yet again absolutely owned the runway :wub:

     

    Mercedes felt defeated the entire season not just this episode :lol: I'm surprised she even managed to last this long tbh but there we go. She was lovely but pretty much couldn't actually do anything, bar an ok lipsync to Work Bitch and a meme. It was lovely to see her open up a bit more about Islam especially as it was a Trump Rusical though.

     

    Also Scarlett Envy truly out here looking like Tammie Brown on the runway I'm screaming

    Doesn't surprise me at all that she is doing this but I agree this just doesn't sit right. For someone who's known as saying things against the LGBTQ+ community, for her to drill their phrase into the ground and use it for money is really not on.

    Nah I'm pretty sure it's just a thing from drag culture in general, Laganja popularised it and it became one of those big things adjacent to Drag Race that always gets used and became a big thing for gay culture in general, but ofc this idiot thinks it's hers

    Orange Trees is... fine I guess but again pretty disappointing. It might grow but I'm really worried for this album too, this and Superstar are pretty much just serviceable pop you'd listen to a couple of times but not really go back to. A pop sound was great on Electra Heart because it was virtually a pastiche, and worked so well because it was perfect pop as pop should be, but this is just.... there.

    Agreed, Kate MH absolutely has the ability to pull off an amazing show and I hope I'm underpredicting her - I didn't know they were looking very likely to change the staging!

     

    Eurofans are just ridiculous over Australia, so that doesn't help. They all lapped up opera when it was La forza yet now it's a "joke" just because it's a bit unconventional and mixes opera into a pop song and has crazy staging. The dress just kind of feel a bit *too* La forza, but as said I can't see it being too difficult to do something that's suitably OTT for Eurovision without taking the piss.

    I never used to hate Kate as much as everyone else, but since Aiden died she's just been abhorrent. Her and Rana being a great, strong couple was the only thing she had going for her, she made Aiden's suicide all about her and she'll do the same with Rana I'm sure.

    Alison King is really going to shine in this storyline, ofc she'll have the family turn on her as well and have nobody but Peter.

     

    We don't need Peter and Carla again though :drama: I liked him and Abi actually, if Carla and Peter got together he'd only cheat on her with Abi anyway :lol:

     

    I'm so sad Rana is gone, that was worth it though as an episode (the end got a bit OTT dramatic and pushing heartbreak with their deathbed "wedding" though). Short of them killing off a massive character like Sally or Gail or sth, with the timing of it and the situation, I don't think many possibilities could have been as impactful as Rana dying.

    That was heartbreaking, she was so much more likeable than Kate. I knew she would be the one dying the entire time but they really had to drag it out didn't they? :lol: Like really, they were in no rush to get her out were they??

    Google announced today their Stadia service which is being called "the future of gaming", it's basically a streaming service like PS Now but with added features, you can stream to your computer, console or smart TV as it's built in to Google Chrome or Youtube. You can use any controller to play too, but there will also be a Stadia controller you can buy (a bit like a Steam controller I guess) that's wi-fi connected and will be able to connect directly to the Stadia service.

     

    I'm.... kinda sceptical, idk it just sounds way too good to be true :lol: It's interesting to think of gaming going this way though and it will be amazing if it's true, obviously we don't quite know everything yet.

    Really cannot call this semi, exciting!! I'm almost certain of the top 4 being through, I can see Slovenia's cool vibe being a fairly big hitter. Between 5-14 or so, I think they're all in contention, I'd like to think Portugal will be fine but that along with Iceland feel quite polarising and could go either way.
