I thought that about Emily's role the other night  Same with Rita when she did one with James, it feels like with two or three sometimes there's one who gets off really easy. I think Gore Seasons was probably the toughest, idk why that made me cringe and feel a bit ew more than even the eating ones, it just really went through me - the thought of that much offal and rotting God knows what all over you :puke:
Mind you I'd probably rather do the eating trial than any of the ones in confined spaces or anything like that!
I find his 'man of the people' act very, very boring - why can't he revel in being a bit of a snob the way Noel did/does. There's nothing wrong in being a snob as long as you're funny with it. All the so-called 'true stories' (that to me strangely had his camp-mates in stitches) were stories that have been going the rounds for ages (i.e, 'pulling off the Russian player if he didn't improve before half-time' 'heck all we got was an orange'). I don't know - maybe its because I'm old and can remember the times when Shankly, Revie, Clough and a load of others joked similarly the first time round. That's it - its because I'm so old that I find Harry a bore - maybe the youngsters in the camp (and outside of it perhaps) see him as a novelty or hilarious.
He'll win though.
Agreed! Just can't take to him for those reasons, I suppose he's a bit like your grandad at Christmas in the corner moaning so people might be fond of that I guess but I'm not, I'm more of a fan of the fun/bubbly/get stuck in (Fleur this year, Toff last year) types.

We get it, you don't like Fleur
If nobody else really volunteers then why shouldn't she do them if she wants? If she pushes in over someone else (a bit like Sair did before Fleur really got to do one despite her doing the eating one like 2 days prior) then fair enough but this whole every single post slagging her off for absolutely anything from half this thread is so so tedious now.
-
It's James and Fleur doing the trial (in b4 everyone moans) so that potentially throws a spammer in the works for the bottom 2 although John was still (perhaps) bottom 2 after the trial. I think one of them will still end up bottom with either Nick or Emily. It's got to be Nick or James's time surely??
Really don’t understand the Fleur and Emily hate ? They both come across as lovely and likeable to me also seem like there loving and enjoying the experience and are bringing a lot to the camp and the series in general !Exactly! It's so so tedious, every post, when really they're the only ones actually really doing anything and bringing anything. We get it, peoope would rather watch Harry moaning about food or James doing nothing, THRILLING.

Emily and Fleur are my only reasons to keep watching, Emily is kind of a budget version of say Vicky/Toff though in terms of attractive young female with a bubbly funny personality, I'm not *hugely* surprised she might be floundering a bit. I wouldn't be surprised if her/Fleur/John all weren't bottom 2 but I very much doubt it was all 3. But I'm just BAFFLED at, even with the fanbase factor, James getting more votes than any of those 3, as well as Rita and Anne :/ He's done absolutely nothing bar that trial and the expedition thing, and hasn't even had the moments to back it up like Anne. I'm sure he's lovely, he seems it, but good christ.
I'm not surprised at Anne, mixed emotions really. As a person I adore her and she gave so many moments, but she wasn't doing much and she also wasn't enjoying it and clearly wanted to go. I'm proud she managed to stick it out as long as she did despite the obvious difficulties her autism gave her!

I doubt Fleur actually was bottom, but then we said that about Emily and I don't think they'd do a faux bottom 2 twice :/ If they really were, how baffling that James is getting more votes just for looking pretty, doing absolutely nothing bar that trial yesterday....
Gutted Rita is gone, she was a quite refreshing twist on the archetype of camp straight talker. You always knew where you stood and she wouldn't take shit but she wasn't nasty with it.

I wouldn't go as far as saying she can't dance but Charles definitely should have outlasted her and it would be a travesty if she made the final over Ashley. She's lovely and all and is clearly enjoying herself plus is getting better, but it's Strictly Come Dancing not Surprise Surprise, it's not about who is enjoying it or who is nice. She's had 2 or 3 really solid routines, a couple good, but struggled a hell of a lot and doesn't really deserve to be a finalist.
I totally get that you are more likely to support and want to watch people who have personalities you like, and if that's Lauren for you, fine, but the vitriol towards Ashley and resulting odds is ridiculous. People like to harp on about her advantage but realistically, it seems to be a DISadvantage to be "too good"... Of course, it helps a lot in terms of the scoreboard, but it gets to a point where she's clearly not getting votes (she must be bottom of the vote to fall into the bottom 2 from joint 2nd, I believe) and has 0 chance of winning, whereas Joe Sugg for example stands a great chance off of a distinct lack of ability by comparison, because he's got that "aw bless I wish my son/grandson was like him" charm for the older female voters.
Thank god Stacey is pulling back away in the odds, she's got a good balance of that likeable personality and enjoying herself a lot, but she's also becoming a great dancer who has improved so much and actually some of her routines have rivalled those of Ashley and Faye, particularly her last couple. She doesn't always have the same technical precision, but she shows how far a bit of enthusiasm, hard work and a great personality can go, without shunning the actual technique. Perhaps I'm just biased from loving her so much though
I hadn’t even noticed her disability in the last few weeks so don’t even go there.Good job he didn't even mention it then...

I love Anne SO much as a person but I agree, I wouldn't actually be mad if she went. She's not enjoying it so isn't bringing that much, you can tell she's just waiting and waiting for her time to be up and not grabbing the opportunity and really enjoying it like say Fleur or others are, the ones who are having a laugh all the time and actually enjoy the challenge of trials, like James really wanted to do one as he hasn't had a chance yet.

Emily bottom 2 :o Well, I know that being announced doesn't mean you're bottom 2 but a vast majority of the time, it does.
Don't understand why everyone is turning on Fleur. Seeing a lot of hate for her suddenly on Twitter too.She has nothing but been upbeat, fun and positive throughout. She has also thrown herself into every single thing the entire way through and gives the most fabulous narration too.
I hate to say it, but it is the same with the way the public treat people like Alexandra Burke. The idea of a confident and fun black woman still seems to offend many, with the predictable claims they are "too sure of themselves" or "overconfident". Shame.
Completely agreed! I don't know what people want? For example Sair is "boring", James is "pointless" and Anne "doesn't do anything" then Fleur actually does do things and has a bit of fun and she gets called annoying or she's trying too hard... As I said, she's grabbing the opportunity and seizing every moment which is exactly how one should approach this show. None of them are going to have an opportunity like this again so why not enjoy the whole thing while you can? If she is really having fun and bringing some hilarious confessionals, of course they're going to put that on the show, otherwise we're left just watching Harry moaning about food and going on about his wife, THRILLING...

I actually quite like John which I didn't really expect, there's nobody I'd say I dislike or is a really terrible or bad person, I just find Harry excruciatingly boring and can't see the appeal at all and then James brings absolutely nothing. The rest I feel like I'd miss if they went or I really like them as people, and there'd be something missing from camp or something that I enjoy not there anymore if they were to go.

9th Sair (100%, given Rita and James have the trial)
8th Anne (think her luck might run out a bit, there's going to be a mini-shock in the next day or two)
7th Rita
6th James
5th Nick
4th Emily
3rd Fleur
2nd John
1st Harry
I'm really hoping Fleur can edge it, I feel like even 3rd is optimistic though  John snatching the win would be fine, basically anyone but Harry for me.

It affects some worse than others, in some cases it just sort of simplifies movesets (for example Giga Drain doesn't exist, but Mega Drain is buffed to have the same power, which I didn't care much about to be honest), but in others it is to the detriment of the Pokemon (for example, Alolan Dugtrio has no physical Steel STAB because Iron Head doesn't exist, and obviously it's a more physical than special Pokemon so Flash Cannon isn't really good enough as its only Steel STAB).
My big thing still is I'm not sure what the point is to it all. I kind of get making it simpler so people can get on board, but when (and they bloody better had) they go back to "normal", surely for people who have really got into Let's Go and played it all year until the new game comes, it's going to be SO overwhelming to suddenly have 809 Pokemon, over 700 moves, 233 abilities, all the held items that are possible etc. Not that it's hard to learn everything, but if people spend this year or so getting used to the Let's Go way, it's going to probably be quite jarring for them when they move across. I get simplifying a bit, but the fact it only had Kanto Pokemon (which of course locks out a lot of moves that no Kanto Pokemon learn anyway) was probably enough, without removing moves that they learn. I just think there's more of a middle ground that could've been taken in terms of what's been removed.
