I just cannot take to Acacia & Aaliyah lately, they felt so refreshing at auditions but they're totally stagnating since the live shows. Idk, that was a slightly different type of song for them but it still felt pretty much the same, I don't believe they can really do anything more or different. If they were artists coming out with material in the real world outside of XF, they'd be one hit wonders who just didn't click with anything after their first single.
Bella was brilliant, her best so far for sure, no idea what Ayda and Louis were listening to?! Ayda is really getting on my tits, she makes such pointless comments in a bit of a Louis Walsh way :drama:

Am I the only one who thinks the overhype behind Dalton is completely ridiculous? Like he is no doubt a fantastic vocalist but he's not THAT good to the degree that they harp on about every week. It's almost insulting to the likes of Shan that they go on that he's "on another level" EVERY time he sings.

Bruno's 9 for Joe has to be the most ridiculous score all series, absolutely laughable  I don't really care if the dancers mime the words or whatever but he was legit counting the steps as well as looking down at his feet, it was really quite laboured and that took away from the flow and sway of the samba, it was probably my least favourite of the night :/ There's a lot to be said for the enthusiasm and attack he has, which is the good thing about many newbies/amateurs, but he's still got real problems, when you look at Stacey for example and even Lauren, they're ironing those faults out at a much quicker pace.
Should be Danny/Joe in the dance-off but I can see Danny/Kate. It's never that straight forward though so I've got that horrible niggling feeling Stacey might dip into the bottom 2 :drama: I was really impressed by both Lauren and Charles this week, particularly the former who took a huge step up!

Sorry but what does the BBC have to do with the papers supposedly printing shit? From It Takes Two it seems like they overexaggerated but there was tension between him and Amy, but she even said he didn't bully her. I imagine he really didn't like being bottom of the scoreboard for the first time and maybe had a bit of a short temper, on top of training being gruelling as always. What more could the BBC do than let Amy say he wasn't acting as the papers said?

I can't stand Linda either now but it is about time someone saw Mick isn't the patron saint of Walford (even if they're pretending to) Even if we know he didn't do it, to them how does it not look like he at least had the motive and the evidence is stacked against him? I'm surprised the show even let him be painted as the villain in a pretend manner tbh.

Nobody would really suit Shallow tbf so I can see why. Scarlett singing INLA is going to be a moment  Also really looking forward to Bella, that's a bit of a leftfield choice for her. Shan's is an inspired choice, I'm sure she'll slay as always.
Misunderstood and Danny seem like a big fat no to my ears.

Yaass so glad she got this #1, I looove it as I've said! It might not be the big pop moment that her other songs have been, but it's really showing her as an artist imo, it's just such an appreciative, reflective, tone that's really really classy and I think it's connecting with a lot of people who appreciate being that mature over an ex, it feels like a real moment because it's come at the exact right time in her career. It's such a powerful combination that it can empower or relate to people, but is so personal and fitting for where she is in her own life.
I'm so excited for this album, I don't really mind waiting because we only just had Sweetener and I won't be *too* greedy but I feel like it's going to be such a new level artistically  It doesn't even feel rushed for her to move on, because Sweetener is probably a campaign she doesn't feel she can relate to or be represented by which is fair enough given all that's happen since she made it.

Oops I didn't read it all
I'm not surprised Rak-Su have got out too, they'd probably have been dropped after this single the way Syco go, if only Louisa got in on that before it was too late and she was just left to rot under Ministry Of Sound. It's definitely best for the girls stateside too, I agree, so many times they COULD have had that breakthrough hit just didn't happen because of Syco.

I'd put Anne or Fleur down as the favourite or even Nick depending on how he comes across.
Nick seems like an easy bet for runaway finalist at the very least, even just on name. Anne could either be the villain who comes like 5th but I suspect she might do a Kim Woodburn and just be game for it all and proper attack everything head on.

The production is definitely letting it down and stopping it being great for me too, it's written quite well (not really the lyrics, but the melody etc.) and is catchy, but I keep just thinking how good it would be if it was a bit more of a banger. It feels like they were trying to build it layer by layer but stopped at like 1 or 2 and thought the melody was enough. It kind of is because something keeps me coming back, for now, but I doubt it will be one that will stay with me or I'll go back to that much.
The last album did cut a lot of corners though, I think beforehand she was just releasing basic enough pop that worked (I mean, it's Cheryl Cole, nobody expected paradigm defining glossy pop). A lot of the album felt like it needed to be about 2 levels higher, whilst I did enjoy the singles and Waiting For Lightning a lot even the two #1s could really have done with beefing up. This is similar, it's some of the way there and could be a great pop song but it's just not quite there.
