I do think this isn’t quite working, more and more as the weeks go on. A lot of what’s happening is ridiculously obvious, yet again they just send Sienna in a circle of misery? Yet again a wedding lasts five seconds before one half of them die? :lol:

 

I also feel like the pacing is off, presumably this week will mostly be about Sienna/Ethan etc and you get a week or two at a time without storylines like Frankie and JJ, Cleo just left in the basement while Abe flounced off with Peri :lol: Pacing was often a problem with the show anyway but I think with only 3 episodes a week it’s worse.

There is no way Kween deserved to win when she put Soa in an outfit that looked like that :lol: Also I agree Alyssa was basic, a decent effort and definitely more impactful and elevated than Kitty, but in my judging Kitty was gone so I actually had her bottom two with Vanity!!

 

I always kind of hate the makeover bc family resemblance, whatever, Tessa’s makeover was head and shoulders above the bottom two and honestly… better than Alyssa’s. I think I’ve said this before, but I genuinely think she has it in her contract to not be low or in the bottom so she never hears negative critiques :lol: I mean, the makeover critiques wouldn’t have been that negative just maybe that her concept and look were a bit more basic than the others.

 

Alyssa want necessarily low though I just thought she was third worst, her and Tessa could have both just got positive critiques as it’s a clear bottom two this week.

 

I thought Kitty was terrible in the lip sync.

Me too, I feel like she could have done anything and Ru would have laughed and ate it up. It wasn’t Vanity’s best lipsync but she easily beat Kitty, of course they couldn’t send a precious Ru girl home on their first bottom against someone they’ve thrown in the bottom multiple times over the Ru girls.

I thought Angelita could/should have gone first in that ball but she has just killed two episodes in a row, Spankie DU2 run is calling!

 

Also loving Chloe and Niña so far.

Kween has just like half apologised (or basically said “but I apologised after”) but basically brought race into it as apparently Nelly repeated a comment Ru made in the judging about Soa finally looking like a star because she looked like Kween.

 

Kitty and Nelly are clearly friends now, it’s Kween there is still problems with. Tbh as much as I don’t like Kitty, she has just been unfunnily shady and self centred/arrogant, Kween gets more and more pointed and nasty imo.

 

For me it speaks volumes that none of the Aussie local girls have anything good to say about Kween! Kween has a point about how POC are treated and how they have to wor harder to be seen, I totally get that, but her reputation proceeds her and she can’t bring it back to race when she is behaving like this and is deservedly called out.

There was never really a solid elim order, the finalists should be solid, but atp I wouldn’t be surprised if Angelita was there over one of them. It would be an interesting change of pace if the frontrunner got eliminated before the finale instead of it being an obvious one horse race. Apparently Kelly goes next week so I’m thinking it is probably about right but not Le Coco going and coming back, I think she will be maybe be the frontrunner based on what we’ve seen so far,but it would be interesting for her to have one bad week, be a shock elim, then come back mad as hell and kill every challenge or something :lol:

 

I also can’t see how Angelita will go after Kelly that soon when she has just won and did so well at the talent show, at worst she gives me shock makeover elim at like 5th or 6th. It’s exciting not quite knowing what’s happening actually!

I am assuming it might be like Sharon from CBB, but that kind of twist isn’t needed in normal BB under any circumstance.

 

I can’t say I was hugely excited anyway but if that happens to be true I genuinely don’t know if I’ll bother at all.

I kind of love Chanel, we always need that drama! I don’t think she’s like insufferably nasty, she’s just giving good TV and drama. Not sure how well she will do on any other challenge tbh but we’ll see, I don’t see her being funny or a great performer.

Have to say I am not really taken by this either, obviously without SOPHIE here to actually oversee it it wasn’t going to have the same spark really, it feels like a first draft of a pop girl trying to emulate SOPHIE on a flop EP or something, where they were scared to go far enough out there? :lol: I mean that inn that it doesn’t go far enough, it doesn’t feel uniquely SOPHIE, it doesn’t really push any boundaries. It feels sterile even in places which is the absolute last word you should ever be using to describe SOPHIE’s music.

Kween is absolutely rancid. No excuse, it’s not Aussie humour, it’s not shade, just downright nasty. She has 3 wins, she’s done well this whole time, why is she so incensed that Nelly is getting her flowers for once?

 

Apparently Nelly said on live Kween had a massive argument with Alyssa as Alyssa stood up for Nelly, and it almost got physical. So it sounds like even with how horrific Kween came across, she got off somewhat lightly in the edit :lol:

Severity bless her, sorry but who thought she was a good idea to cast for reality TV😭 There was just no energy or presence there at all.

 

I’ve been waiting years for Asia to be on this show after always seeing her rumoured and my GOD she isn’t letting these girls breathe. Her and Auntie Heroine I feel are the ones to beat, the latter I think is so refreshing but still definitely fits the pillars of Dragula, I am intrigued and excited to see how that pageant campy comedy vibe melds with these different challenges.

Whoever decided bringing Robbie back was a good idea needs to be fired. Freddie worked because they put him with Grace and built on making a bit of a family unit, he fits in with Darren etc too. Robbie is giving absolutely nothing yet they seem intent on thrusting him into every scene possible. Huge part of why the show feels like it isn’t quite working.

I’ve seen it’s just Rileasa from a few sources but I can’t see why they’d suddenly not do a group win when UK always has.

Agreed with that, I think without those pre determined links to make storylines they have absolutely no idea how to edit the entire season and piece together episodes. They’re giving Kitty wins just for “aw I didn’t win this on my first season”, they’re making Kween seem like some unstoppable force just because she’s a Ru girl, everyone else bar Nehellenia and maybe Tessa basically has no edit.

 

With Vanity, I’ve said a few times but she has been thrown into the bottom just as a sacrificial lamb to avoid putting Alyssa there. When really, she has had such a strong glow up since her season with her personality and to see her have a “getting out of her head and slaying” arc. That’s more judging than editing, but I think none of the non Ru queens bar Nehellenia having any kind of storyline or arc (bar Tessa maybe) is a big part of this all seeming underwhelming. In pulling the international queens, they have all been cast aside and there’s been no time or opportunity to craft an interesting narrative around them.

It was so unfair with Kandy! She basically just was like I’m going somewhere :) like queens normally do and she got cut for it.

 

However I’m glad she dodged this season in a way as I think she would have struggled with the acting and comedy challenges, we didn’t see her do any on Thailand but she is more of a performance/looks queen.

 

The early tea of this season would have been amazing! I was so happy with Nehellenia 3 wins, Eve 4, kitty 6th and Alyssa 5th with Vanity and Kween also top 4.

This is the only bottom Vanity has even remotely deserved, and she absolutely killed that lipsync. Fair enough Pythia has a better track record but it comes down to the lipsync, otherwise there is no point in even having a liosync, Ru might as well just arbitrarily send someone home each week :lol:

 

Although they could just throw in some riggory for her too since they’re doing it for Kitty :lol: Just put her low and put Tessa in the bottom but I think Pythia was coming too close to their precious Ru girls so they had to hand Kitty a win and take her out. Pythia is one of those queens though with a glaring weakness of dancing/choreo/structured comedy so she’s not the best lipsyncer and will probably always fall to a challenge like this, but like I said it feels even worse because I really don’t think they should even have a roast on a global season as a lot of queens say it’s the hardest challenge and I can’t even fathom having to do it in your second or third language like Tessa, Vanity and Nehellenia.

Why on god’s green earth did they have a double win for a roast and yet when Vanity was in the best group for an actual GROUP challenge they put her in the bottom. Kween was definitely the best but there’s no way Kitty deserved that win, there were just the same old jokes and I don’t think delivering that confidently really makes that on a level with Kween who had unique jokes and delivered it well. I thought Alyssa’s content was unfunny as well, whereas Tessa I think had the content there but she didn’t believe in it at all. Vanity’s was lowkey one of the most uncomfortably cringe roasts of all time in such a way that I simply have to stan.

 

I think a roast is probably the most unfair challenge to make ESL queens do, because the delivery and cadence must be so hard when it’s not your mother tongue. Nehellenia turned that around and killed it anyway! I feel like even more than Snatch Game even it’s just such an unfair challenge to have on a global season.

 

Unfortunately this did have to be Pythia’s week to go, she had the worst roast alongside Vanity, and Vanity gave for the second week in a row the best lipsync of season and honestly one of my favourite individual lipsync performances ever on the show. She’s the first to get 3 wins on my judging and I was thinking maybe I can give her a low placement where her runway saves her, but Tessa’s was just stunning as well, even moreso, I saved her in mine as Soa is still there and whilst she was great at Snatch Game on her season, I think she’d struggle with a second language roast.

I was expecting Cheek 3 Cheek tbh, it definitely has more Gaga to it with flecks of theatre and rock. I can’t see me returning to it a huge amount but it is a lovely surprise project.

Worst double eviction of all time. The chaos and great season has lasted for a lot longer than a season normally does, but this is an awful top 5. Chelsie is the only one who’s really played Big Brother. However, final 5 and up is almost always boring so to have basically the entire season minus 2 weeks be this great has been amazing after so many years of being let down again and again by this show.

 

Chelsie defintiely wins now which is fine, I really don’t like her but you have to give her gameplay utmost credit. She reminds me of Maggie the way she’s running that house like a cult, similarly Maggie is not the most dynamic, entertaining or likeable person but I’ve always felt she is underrated as a player/winner because she’s not the most flashy dynamic person. Like…is it dramatic to say Chelsie is playing the best singular game of BB since Tyler in BB20?

 

It would be hysterical if Makensy dug deep, found one singular brain cell and got her out, or Rubina or Kimo finally did something and randomly won HOH and got her out. If any of them do do that, even if that’s fhe only thing on their resume, they’d somewhat deserve to win :lol:

I am BEYOND obsessed with Kyran!! Such an exciting and fresh presence on this, you get that unmistakable UK drag flair but she has such a vision and I know that every single week I’m going to be absolutely perched for whatever she brings to the table. She is such a breath of fresh air for the show.

 

Lill would have been the other top for me but La Voix was good too.

Nish really needs to go at this point, there has been some isolated great moments with the whole family and the storyline, but they’ve gone round in circles so much that we’re getting the same peaks and troughs, Nish has been dying for what feels like forever, he’s tried to kill pretty much every member of the family, changed his will about 8 times, changed his mind on every member of the family like the wind, I just don’t care one bit at this point.

 

And maybe I’m crazy but Suki is nearly as bad, using her family as pieces in her chess game. Her and Eve are finally together and it feels like nothing is about them, it’s always about Nish’s umpteenth death threat or whatever. I think everyone in the family has better things they could be doing and more interesting storylines they could have, rather than this going round in circles yet again.

That’s why if they were SO intent on crowning Alyssa they sbluldnt have been afraid to put her in the bottom when she deserves it. A winner with 3+ bottoms (and not in the bottom 4 if you don’t win All Stars way) would be kind of camp.
