Format is the same as regular Canada’s last season, 1 winner per episode, a golden beaver and a lipsync for your life. Not sure how I feel about that for an All Stars adjacent season, only 5 wins for the season, but I think it might lead to better lipsyncs as they’re fighting to stay? Idk it kind of makes it feel like even more “eh this will do” rather than All Star queens fighting to be the best but then I guess with this cast you can’t expect too much :lol:

I feel like Elaine is better off as her own character and George is better off with Cindy, Ian and Cindy have absolutely 0 chemistry and have just been thrown together because of their history. It’s an odd situation of them all being good characters of their own accord, but none of them really being used to their full potential other than George who has had his own family story.

I guess because it’s just been comedy and design, they might think it could be another performance challenge which she could win tbf, I think when they get the scissors and have to decide who to block they probably overthink what challenge it might be based on what’s been done so far, but really if it was me, I’d block say Angeria or Roxxxy or Mik who could do well in a few types of challenge. I also think it would be strategic if they knew what challenge was coming up and could block based on that, that would make the blockings more of a thing rather than just something at the end for after the lipsync. It’s not that deep since it’s non elim but I feel like that would bring a bit more drama to that last little bit of the episode.

Makeover is won by Vanjie and Roxxxy, the challenge is that they have to makeover a firefighter like a pop star and they perform to an original song so this doubles as another verse challenge kind of. Lipsync song is Black Cat by Janet Jackson, which is a double win and the two have to agree to cut someone which is… Angeria again!! One of my absolute top lipsyncs and it’s Roxxxy Andrews I am SCREAMING!!!

Red Wine Supernova is by far her best, that really deserves what GLB is getting as much as that is a great song. I fell in love with her in about 30 seconds hearing Red Wine Supernova back last year.

I wasn’t sure about Ari either, on paper she seems right, visually you can see her as Glinda, but I was worried about her vocals being right for the songs that Glinda performs. The newest trailer put that to rest a bit though, we only heard a bit but her vocals do sound quite Kristin Chenoweth, I just hope she puts her own spin on it enough and hasn’t vocally trained to be too similar because you just can’t be Kristin Chenoweth’s Glinda. With Cynthia, she makes perfect sense as Elphaba already and yet feels so different to Idina’s, can’t wait to hear her do No Good Deed, although that won’t be until part 2 comes out D:

The do you believe me now hook is very Self Esteem, a potentially jarring to some people but no doubt effective, striking, weird and creatively used hook with such pop sensibility that it fully works.

Thank good she’s finally gone :lol: Shona McGarty is capable but the character of Whitney hasn’t been good for absolutely years at this point. They just turned her into misery after misery, and when a character gets that much focus and push you are inevitably going to tire of them. Especially knowing she would be leaving for ages, and it felt like Milton Keynes week could have been her exit, I thought she might stay and look after Brittany, but instead they dragged it all out for over 2 months. Zack should be much better without her too, it feels like when there was any male character they didn’t know what to do with, they’d pair them with Whitney and use them to give her more miserable storylines. Kush, Callum, and now Zack.

I think it comes out at something stupid like 2am so for us it’s early morning, 8am I think

Angeria was robbed robbed, I also thought that would have been a good storyline lipsync since Gottmik blocked her last week and those two would both be lipsyncing to be the first to win the challenge twice. Plus Angie going from the S14 SG disaster to winning! I found Nina’s to just be DeLa’s Paul Lynde but less curated and defined. It was exactly what you expect when you see Nina is doing Liberace, but still funny. Whoever decided on a sexy Anitta song for a challenge Nina West could very well win has some explaining to do, I guess maybe Anitta could only do this episode timing wise idk but they could have still swapped the Ball and Snatch Game round in that case? Idk why the queens went mad for Nina’s lipsync, it was messy and you can tell she just knew she couldn’t lipsync so had that ready thinking 18 reveals to basically nothing was enough. WIN Angeria (she’d have beat Gottmik in that lipsync I feel) TOP Gottmik HIGH Nina and honestly I’d maybe go Jorgeous, kind of terrible but hysterical anyway or Shannel but she didn’t go far enough For me, Plastique was easily the worst. Her runway was again amazing but I’m still sick of certain fans acting like she’s the best queen ever on the show because she has great runways.

Apparently she wins episode 6 but is blocked, it’s a Roast so I could see it as she honestly should have won the S13 Roast. Challenge order: Makeover Advert/comedy Roast Acting/improv Rumix again but apparently it’s like the challenge from season 2 where they all got a different style of music Rosemary’s Baby Rusical Lalaparuza Final part 1 (I assume this will be maybe like the AS8 talent show for the queens who don’t make the top for the finale) Final part 2

Oh this is a SERVE, this has to be huge surely. I wouldn’t have put these two together but hearing this it makes total sense and you can definitely hear the influence of each melded together.

I love that because we’re so obviously meant to feel sorry for Whitney when in actual fact they’ve pushed her on us so much that I was elated when Lauren ripped her apart :lol: Of course saint Whitney can NEVER do wrong

I think GAS is the reason this might be lower key/muted tbh, but if that’s the case they should have skipped a year and just done that. It’s weird bc it’s like half a good cast of hard hitters and them some that feel like filler but Gottmik and Angeria in particular I feel should have been saved for a “bigger” or “better” All Stars. If anything I feel like non elim made more sense for Global All Stars to showcase the queens from lesser known franchises, but I guess they wanted the stakes to be high and that to feel cutthroat. Maybe some or all of the big fan faves like Plastique, Gottmik, Jorgeous and Vanjie would only come back if it was non elim, so they did it now as a kind of appetiser for GAS but most of this cast deserves so much more.

Nina and Gottmik are in the same group but clearly the top 2, so while the Snatchelor picks Jorgeous from group 1, both Nina and Gottmik are top 2 from the same group.

Either Jorgeous or Mik wins Snatch Game with Nina, so the Snatchelor chooses Jorgeous and Nina which in the past has always been who won, but tea says Mik and Nina so maybe they’re the same group and a clear top 2 so Ru chooses them? The tea did say Snatch Game is a mixed bag with a clear top 2, the thought of even Jorgeous high for SG is wild lmao EDIT: so yeah Mik wins the lipsync, Nina top, Mik blocks Plastique. Not Mik lipsync assassin and winning Ball and Snatch Game twice!!

Vanjie was absolutely robbed episode 1, she should have been top with Angeria instead of Jorgeous. I hope Jorgeous isn’t pushed, I feel Ru is just so obsessed she might be but we’ll see. Tbh it’s not that deep this season, it’s a bit of fun for charity and it’s good vibes so far, I don’t know whether it being non elim might get boring as even All Winners was but for now I did enjoy that premiere. Angeria absolutely ate that lipsync too, surprisingly so as that was far from her strength on S14 :lol: Not yet seen episode 2 as I’ve been busy working myself into the ground and barely have the time or energy, snuck in episode 1 and will try to do episode 2 in the next few days.

So the lead dev is transphobic trash and quit, and the discord has banned any discussion about anything “political” as people were calling him out. Thank god I never really saw the fuss with this :lol: just wasn’t compelling to me and I never got around to it and now won’t bother. Pokémon Showdown does just fine for me in terms of a competitive itch

Album of the year for sure, it feels so fresh and something only Billie could do, a really strong cohesive body of work but you still recognise each song and they stand out on their own merit without blending into one long blur.

I think it is next week, tbh I think I might just give the show a miss until then. It seems like if Whitney isn’t on screen, it’s still about her, and they’ve completely wrecked the character to the point I don’t even want to hear about on screen :lol:
